i recommend spot-dl, though i haven't tried downloading quite that many myself.
yt-dlp works well for literally any other website you could imagine, if you need to download music from anywhere else ever.
VLC is also nice for mobile and desktop play, if you haven't already decided what you'll be using for that. good luck!
spotify is Pissing me off so im just gonna locally download all my (2.7k......) songs. Cant give me ads if theyre local mp3s. bitch.

BR3 (2005) by Yin Hsiang Ting, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore. BR3S was the winner of the 2005 All Japan Micromouse competition with a time of 7.463 seconds. At APEC 2006 held in Dallas, "I was not surprised to see quite a few members of the Dallas Personal Robotics Group present to view the event. By the time the contest was underway, around one hundred people had crowded into the contest area. A video camera suspended over the course provided an aerial view that was projected onto a large screen for the spectators. The majority of contestants were from Singapore, with several US entries, as well. Nanyang Polytechnic in Singapore brought several robots with low-slung, titanium frames. One of their robots - BR3S - utilized on-board gyros to provide more accuracy for sharp turns. BR3S, which was decked out with a pink shell complete with nose and eyes, won the prestigious All Japan Micromouse competition in 2005. … While pink BR3S didn't come in first, it did take the honor of the fastest recorded run during the contest with a time of just 7.36 seconds." – Micromouse Contest 2006, by Steven Rainwater, Servo Magazine, May 2006.

Chuckling to myself remembering the time I completely broke a scammer's brain by telling them I use Linux.
Scammer: do you have an apple or a windows computer please?
Me: neither, I use Linux.
Scammer: no no no, I asked if you use a apple or a windows
Me: neither
Scammer: what is the sticker? Is it a four boxes or is it an apple with a bite?
Me: ... I don't use EITHER of them. There's a third operating system called Linux. It isn't a PC or a mac. Please tell me you understand
Scammer: do -- do you know what I mean about apple or windows sir?
Me: yes. I'm a software developer. I understand completely. I'm telling you that YOU don't understand. Its called Linux, spelled L-I-N-U-X, type it into google
Scammer:
Scammer: but is it an apple or a windows computer sir

READ THIS IF YOU PLAN TO BOYCOTT YOUTUBE LONG-TERM
get an invidious account. it is an alternative front-end to youtube, allowing you to make an account, subscribe to channels, make playlists, and all the other things you use youtube for; all without giving the company a single cent. swearing off youtube long-term is a tall ask, so you can use this to still follow the creators you want to keep up with while continuing the youtube boycott. it has a built-in adblock and anti-tracker, meaning that you can really keep fucking them over.
it doesnt interact with the API at all, it scrapes the metadata to make sure they get as little as possible.

Xe Iaso's Anubis is exploding in popularity and quickly become the go-to default for blocking AI scrapers. Their monetization model is kind of brilliant: it's free to use, but the stock instance has an anime doggirl all over it; if you have snooty clients who dislike that sort of thing, you can pay to remove it:
Anubis is provided to the public for free in order to help advance the common good. In return, we ask (but not demand, these are words on the internet, not word of law) that you not remove the Anubis character from your deployment. If you want to run an unbranded or white-label version of Anubis, please contact Xe to arrange a contract. This is not meant to be "contact us" pricing, I am still evaluating the market for this solution and figuring out what makes sense.
Make the fun haters pay more, I dig it.

for mobile users, newpipe is a fantastic youtube frontend- for desktop users, im still looking at alternatives myself. apologies i don't have a better answer on that front.
searx is another privacy respecting alternative to google search, but is generally preferable to fuckfuckgo for being open-source and having better (and non-censored) search results. you can filter out ai slop pretty well with ublock origin, too.
for people looking to move away from chrome id also recommend looking at firefox forks, such as waterfox and librewolf, as firefox honestly starting to loose some respect in the foss community for certain development choices.

YouTube is implementing an AI policy that tracks your watch history and determines your age with it. The only way to be able to continue watching the videos you want on YouTube if you've been falsley flagged as a minor by their AI is to give YouTube your government ID. This is being implemented in the US right now. It is essential to rage against this and put YouTube in the fucking ground if they continue with it—that may be the only way to make them backtrack. But damn isn't that hard to do when responding to this announcement with a polite but negative comment flags you for violating community guidelines and bans you from even posting it?
