I've made a fiber arts community on tumblr!
I thought the concept was cool, at least better than those weird groupchats forever ago. Communities can hold up to 25 people, including me. Posts are publicly viewable.
Is anyone interested in joining?

Madder matters ❤️
It was worth the wait - the most wonderful thing is this Ruivinha root, or Madder aka Rubia Tinctorum 🌱 Valeu a pena esperar - coisa mais maravilhosa é essa raiz da Ruivinha, or Madder aka Rubia Tinctorum ❣️

I got myself some milkweed with lots of bast fibers coming off!!! This is butterfly milkweed from a well established plant, stems were left exposed to the elements all winter. I don't remember off the top of my head who worked with milkweed fiber a year or two ago (@comfortabletextiles ?) But I'm gonna try to process and spin a little bit of milkweed cord!

Crafty friends inside my phone. The time has come once again for you to influence my purchasing habits. I want some rolags to take away with me when I go to Torquay in July, during tour de fleece. I’ll be taking Margo with me, hence rolags. So I have been browsing fellfiew fibres. The shop is closed at the moment while she catches up with orders, but I want to have my decision ready for when she opens up again. And of course, I would buy out her entire collection if I was rich. But I’ve narrowed down my options to ten. I may buy two sets, we’ll see how my bank account looks when the time comes.
Pics and such under the read more

“pink and blush shades merino, with highlights of white Eri silk and pops of intense pink tussah silk”
“merino, baby llama and tussah silk, with a little gold trilobal”
“Shetland fibres, with the addition of merino, superfine merino, corridale and tussah silk
“merino in shades of soft green. Between each layer is a thin layer of baby llama”
“50% merino, 30% tussah silk, 20% recycled sari silk and a little bronze coloured trilobal.”
“5 colours of merino all blended with 1/3 seacell, and A grade mulberry silk”
“merino in soft sades of pink, lilac and lavender, with two fine layers of baby llama, and a touch of blue tussah silk”
“Polwarth blended with beautiful white tussah silk, approximately 50:50 ratio, and some soft Trilobal sparkle”

I'm genuinely disappointed and horrified about the hh-m news. The cottagecore to transphobia pipeline is real, huh, and basic respect for people doesn't exist. Should I check every single blog I follow or interact with for their secret opinion on trans people? Or if they had an old terf blog they buried? Or a sideblog? Or a comment in a youtube video they deleted later? How about every single blog that follows me. How about every commenter on my AO3 stories. How about that.
Please, please everyone: if you notice me reblogging from TERF or cryptoTERF blogs, tell me. I don't want to be around such people.

That voice in your head that says you can totally warp up that pattern after dinner? That's the devil. Halfway through a stack of cards you is definitely not interested and especially not pleased to know its all over your bed so they can't even give up and go to sleep.
