❄️ Warm Winter ❄️
Pairing: Miyuki Kazuya x Sawamura Eijun
Genre: Fluff
Rating: G
Word count: 1,900 words
Synopsis: The warmth provided by the scarf kept him from feeling cold, it was even warmer with the person he was sharing it with.
Cute.
The only word he could think of when he saw Eijun.
The ten year old felt his chubby cheeks warmed up when he went out of their house for a day out only to see his cute neighbour... all bundled up in jacket and a scarf wrapped comfortably around his neck.
It was a midday in winter, and after checking the weather forecast for the nth time, making sure that there will be no snowstorm, Kazuya set out for a playtime with his friends.
He’s going to Mei’s, where the rest of his friends will be.
And upon opening the front door, lo and behold, the cute neighbour two houses down was all bundled up for a day out as well.
Eijun saw him and the grin he offered was so wide and bright, and Kazuya immediately looked away, hoping that his own scarf will hide the reddening of his cheeks.
He heard a small laugh behind him and he slightly turned to give his mother a pouty glare.
No need to tease him for his little crush!
Especially when said crush was rushing towards their house!
“Miyuki Kazuya! Miyuki Kazuya!” Eijun called out, the grin on his face widened and brightened up even more “Are you going to Mei-nii’s?!”
“Y-yes. Why?”
Eijun tilted his head to side, a thing that he always does and smiled cutely. “Let’s go together!” said the boy, his beautiful golden eyes sparkling.
“That way, you won’t get lost!”
Kazuya felt himself sweat drop, he wanted to voice out that Eijun was the one who was prone to getting lost but a part of him, the part that was unbelievably fond and crushing on the other boy (which was a huge part), decided to just sigh and allow himself to get dragged by the younger boy.
“Not that way, Ei-kun.” He voiced out, as he stopped walking and tugged on his arm that was in Eijun’s hold.
The younger boy flushed red, “I... I’m just testing you okay?! Of course it’s not this way!”
Kazuya sighed once more, resigned himself on guiding Eijun to the right direction so they don’t get lost.
If he wasn’t cute, he will tease him so much to the point that he will cry. But Kazuya was not that heartless to the object of his childhood infatuation.
So off they go to Mei’s house, with Kazuya tugging Eijun on the right direction every now and then.
───※ ·❆· ※───
It was almost five when they finished playing, Mei’s father offered to drive them all back, but Kazuya refused, telling the older man that his house was not that far and he’ll be fine walking home. Besides, his house were at the other side of the block compared to the rest of his friends.
And he also, low-key, wished to go home with Eijun. The younger boy was at the house next door, at his classmate Taiyou where his own group of friends were at.
He was disappointed, however, when after a few minutes of waiting he noticed that Eijun was yet to come out. They weren’t done playing, it seemed.
Kazuya huffed, stomping his foot on the snow covered lawn.
He wanted to go back with Eijun!
“Pfft.”
Kazuya flinched at the sound, turning around to find Mei grinning evilly at him. He gave him a glare, which was ineffective due to the blush staining his cheeks.
“Are you lonely, Kazuya? Is it because Ei-chan won’t be going home yet?”
Kazuya’s glare hardened which was, unfortunately, still ineffective “I’m not lonely!” he told the blonde.
“Anyway, I’m going home. At least I know the way back. Unlike someone we both know who will definitely get lost,” Kazuya then turned around and started walking to the gates “Goodbye.” He said with a huff.
Mei frowned before rolling his eyes, of course, Kazuya would use Eijun’s non-existent sense of direction as an excuse and not because he was crushing so hard on his favourite cousin.
He marched towards their neighbouring house, using the small gate that conveniently connected their lawn to their neighbour for a certain boy to use instead of the main gate. This was to avoid that certain boy of walking down the road and ending up knocking on a different house, again.
Mei was standing on the porch and was about to knock when the door was opened by Taiyou’s mother.
“Oh, hello Mei. Are you here to pick up Ei-chan?” the kind lady asked. Her smile was always gentle, that Mei wondered where Taiyou got his attitude from. Certainly not from his mother.
“Yes, auntie. I thought he could go back with Kazuya, while my friend is still not far off, they live close to each other.” Answered Mei.
The woman smiled and told him that he’ll get Eijun for him.
It wasn’t long before he saw his cousin bouncing off behind Taiyou’s mother with his group of friends following after his cousin like a litter of lost puppies, he always does that. Eijun sure was a people magnet without even meaning to.
Mei made an eye contact with Taiyou and the blonde could feel his blood rising quickly, the latter sticking out his tongue which annoyed Mei further.
He refused to retaliate, though. He don’t want to be rude in front of the kind lady who often gives him cookies and apple pies. Really, Taiyou must be adopted because there was no way the kind lady gave birth to him, even his father was nice.
“Did Kazu-kun went home already?” asked Eijun, drawing Mei’s attention to his cousin’s big bright eyes and away from whatever Taiyou was doing to annoy him.
“Uh huh,” answered Mei “You can still catch up to him, so hurry up!”
Taiyou’s mother gave Eijun his scarf, wrapping it around his neck and handing two paper bags of brownies. “Here, Ei-chan. Take these with you, the other one is for your friend. Have a safe walk home.”
“Thank you aunt Mina! I’ll visit you again!” Eijun told her, hugging her waist.
Mrs. Mukai laughed softly “You’re always welcome, Ei-chan. Hurry along now, tell your mom I said hi, okay?”
Eijun said his farewell to his friends, as energetic as ever, and his friends returning the gesture, though some of them were a little less enthusiastic than the rest.
Mei lead his cousin out, pointing at Kazuya who was still wasn’t that far, the boy probably sulking.
“Over there,” said Mei as he pointed ahead of them, “Just call his name and he will definitely stop walking and wait for you.”
“Okay! Thank you, Mei-nii!” Eijun hugged his cousin, planting a kiss on his cheek. He was always affectionate to his loved ones, albeit being so loud and rowdy most of the time.
Mei nodded his head, “Un, sure. Take care. Now run.”
Eijun did as he was told, running after the Kazuya and shouting his name.
“MIYUKI KAZUYA!!! MIYUKI KAZUYA WAIT FOR ME!!!!”
Kazuya was pouting, though he will absolutely deny it when asked, as he walked down the road, stomping his little feet once in a while to show the whole world how displeased he was at the moment.
It wasn’t everyday that he will get the chance to go home with Eijun, since the younger boy was always surrounded by a bunch of kids who were attracted to the boundless energy and beautiful smiles the boy offers.
He heard his name being called, which sounded so much like Eijun’s. He looked up at the sky and glared, his amber eyes blazing from behind his glasses.
“The world is mocking me,” he grumbled, mitten covered fists were clenched tightly as he continued to glare at the sky. “Either give me Ei-kun or feel my wrath.”
The drama that a ten year old can pull off sure is amusing.
He was then surprised when someone tackled him from behind, causing him to momentarily lose his balance before quickly regaining his composure and end up with his face on the cold ground.
He was ready to glare at his offender when he came face to face with the object of his affection.
“KAZU-KUN! CAUGHT YOU!”
Kazuya’s face immediately turned red at the nickname, especially when Eijun snuggled up at him, he felt more warmer than his padded jacket could ever offer.
“Wha– E-Ei-kun...”
Eijun let go, standing beside the other boy who looked a bit red than normal. He tilted his head, then he leaned forward and pressed his forehead against the other boy.
Kazuya felt like he was going to faint, so... he may have not predicted this as an inclusion of ‘going home with Eijun’ package.
“You feel kinda hot... are you sick?” Eijun whispered, his voice laced with worry. Forehead still pressed against Kazuya’s.
The older boy weakly pushed the younger one, taking off his now foggy glasses with shaking hands and wiping them before putting them back on.
“N... no... not rea–”
“Ah!” Eijun suddenly exclaimed, pointing a finger on Kazuya who, had it been anyone else, would bite the offending finger off. But since it was Eijun, he will let it slide. He reasoned that the younger boy was still a little too young to remember proper manners and will slowly teach it to him.
“YOU DON’T HAVE YOUR SCARF WITH YOU!” exclaimed the younger boy, Kazuya visibly winced at the volume but Eijun either ignored or didn’t noticed at all.
Kazuya became alarmed when Eijun suddenly started removing his own scarf, the younger had always been a good Samaritan, one of the qualities that Kazuya liked and hoped won’t fade away as they grow older.
“I probably left mine at Mei’s, but it’s okay. I don’t feel cold at all,” he frantically told Eijun.
“Nope. You’ll catch cold!” said Eijun as he finally removed his scarf and stepped closer to Kazuya. “You can’t catch a cold because I can’t make a chick-chick soup yet!”
Kazuya’s face showed confusion “Chick... chick soup?”
Eijun nodded his head eagerly “Yup! Chick-chick soup! You know, the one with chickens and stuffs!” he explained as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“Oh... uhm... okay.” Kazuya mumbled when he realized that Eijun meant chicken soup, not that he understand why the boy would want to make him a ‘chick-chick soup’ but it was very kind and sweet of him.
Eijun wrapped his scarf around Kazuya, and the bespectacled boy’s face flushed once more when Eijun also wrapped the scarf around his own.
“See? Mine is long enough for the two of us!” Eijun said with a proud grin, as if what he did would solve the world’s major problems.
Kazuya felt his mind about to get fried.
Never once did he ever thought he will be sharing a scarf with Eijun, much less wrapped in one scarf with the boy whose eyes were incredibly gold sparkling brighter as the boy looked at him with a bright wide smile plastered on his face.
Kazuya could feel the butterflies doing back flips in his stomach, and it was making him feel so warm and giddy at the same time.
“Eijun’s effects on people should never be underestimated.” Kazuya thought, momentarily clutching the soft knitted garment around his neck.
Their journey back home was filled with soft pleasant humming from Eijun, and the warmth that their shared scarf offered.

Demigod MC Series: Hades
Demigod MC Series: Intro, Aphrodite, Hermes, Hades
Lucifer
Well… this is awkward…
He’s actually met Hades multiple times for business reasons (Underworld-Devildom relations are amiable if not a little odd. Hades was something of an uncle figure to Diavolo as a wee demon lad, which should speak for itself really). He’s a gloomy fellow and not much for chit-chat, but he never thought they’d end up taking one of his kids by accident…
He had to send a formal apology letter to the Lord of the Underworld immediately, but thankfully he didn’t seem very concerned for his offspring - if anything he appeared to think the Devildom would suit them nicely which was… concerning.
And he was not wrong. The darkness, demons, ghouls, and frights of the Devildom hardly seemed to faze the MC, if anything they fit right in. He’d dare say they were thriving if not for one thing…
They were So. Damn. Bleak.
Getting a smile out of this one AT ALL was rare. For once he felt the need to check up on someone constantly just to be sure they were alright... They’d keep assuring the House that they’re not actually as sad as they look but it’s hard not to assume…
He was a little mortified at first when they first met Cerberus cause… well they called him “Cerbi” and the massive demonic guard dog rolled over for them like a Golden Retriever!
Apparently he and the Cerberus that they knew are from the same litter and they must have smelt familiar... He would have probably limited their interactions just to keep his dog on his side but after seeing the MC smile for once while they played with the big oaf well…
Cerberus got a new playmate and the MC got a massive, three-headed therapy animal. Win-win. 😌
Mammon
Do ya really gotta be such a downer all the time, MC…? 😔
He thinks they’re nice, like really nice. They’re always super concerned when his brothers attack him or when he gets injured, but he’s pretty sure it’s because they’ve seen people die before so…
At first, he had no idea why he had to be saddled with this depressing wisp of mortal but over time he started to understand that they weren’t all that sad. They had… Resting Gloom Face? Is that a thing?
They also had a different way of seeing things. He could win the lottery and they’d tell him to stay inside so he wouldn’t get hit by lightning or if he pissed off the wrong people, they’d joke about him keeping his fingers and toes. Dark stuff, but not intended to be so… well morbid.
However, what he eventually found out that the REAL advantage to having a Hades kid in the Devildom was that nothing scared them. Literally nothing. Not even the ghosts - which to reiterate, are terrifying!
Cue Mammon getting dragged to horror movies nights with his brothers and pulling the MC along to be his personal security blanket. He’ll hold onto them for dear life as they just pat his head or something, watching and not even flinching at the jumpscares.
The first time the House had an unexpected power outage he clung onto the back of their shirt like a lost child while they calmly looked for the circuit-breaker...
If he could jump into their arms every time something scary happened like Scooby-Doo, he absolutely would. His brothers make fun of him, but after seeing the MC handle Cerberus like a puppy any time something frightens them they hide behind the mortal as well…
Leviathan
In some ways, he totally relates to their moodiness but come on! Who can still look so sad when watching The Magical Ruri Hanai: Demon Girl?? Ruri-chan can make anyone smile! 😠
When he first met the MC, he was a little confused about why they didn't find him intimidating at all. He even reverted to his demon form and showed his fangs but no dice! All they said was, "I've walked along the edge of Tartarus. You're gonna have to try a lot harder than that, buddy…"
That was probably his first sign that the "human" wasn't normal…
After Mammon told him who their Dad was, things made a lot more sense. A child of Hades in the Devildom? That's ironic enough to be its own anime plot!! They certainly felt like an angsty protagonist at times. 🤷♀️
Truth be told, they could relate to each other in a lot of ways. You wouldn't think that an offspring of the Underworld and a demonic shut-in would have much in common but the one thing they share between them is that sense of never really fitting in.
Turns out that Hades kids are black sheep, even among other demigods, and Levi? Well, he's had trouble relating to others since his angel days. He and the mortal were like off-beat kindred spirits!
Which, I mean, you wouldn't get just by looking at them together. Levi being the impassioned super-otaku rambling their ear off while his somber companion would just go along with him quietly, but hey, there's more beneath the surface. Probably.
Now if he could just get them to cosplay as the Lord of Emptiness with him… They'd be perfect! Perfect he says!!
Satan
Highly considered drugging their food with antidepressants for a while…
This was before getting to know them better, of course, but for the first couple months he honestly couldn't shake the feeling that the mortal looked miserable!
Now, he's one to particularly care for the comfort of strangers, but just looking at them like that every day would sour his own mood quite considerably. It was very irritating...
It was only on closer inspection that he realized there was something else at play, though.
The mortal was different - even for a demigod he imagined. They took to the Devildom easily and the realm almost accepted them right back!
The flora looked better in their presence, the hellish beasts that roamed the wilds would roll over for them, and they even seemed to be welcomed in by the never-ending shadows…
It was fascinating. Like the effects of the Underworld were baked into their DNA and mingled with the environment around them… Two layers of darkness coexisting within one person.
I mean, what other creature - other than Lucifer - could ride Cerberus around like a pony??
Had they not been so kind, they'd probably scare him shit-less... Their potential power was too great to ignore. But after getting used to their gloom, at least they made for pleasant company. 🤷♀️
Satan likes them well enough, but even still he has to wonder just what they were capable of… you know?
Asmodeus
Oh. My. WORD. What a buzzkill!!!
Really, the new mortal was no good at parties or pictures for that matter!
Not because they looked bad, or even because he couldn't get them to smile, but because GHOSTS would always photobomb any pictures they were in!! 😫
One time he got a selfie with them on the couch and a creepy ghost child could be seen hiding behind the cushions so NOPE. No more photos with the mortal around!!
Aside from that, he couldn't say the mortal was all bad or anything…They were pretty friendly, despite their general look and feel.
Though, personally, he thought they wore far too much black... Even in the Devildom, there's normally a pop of color, you know? Was that just the Hades dress code?
And you want to know the weirdest thing? Despite everything about them screaming "Doom and Gloom," they're straaaangely popular among the RAD dating scene…
Like. Not as some heartthrob, "Love'em and Leave'em"-type, but he's found that there's a LOT of his demonic classmates who think they're cute or have a crush on them in some way…
Naturally, he can see the appeal of the mysterious, moody demigod with a dark, troubled past. It's just the demigod in question is completely oblivious to it! 🤷♀️
He tried to give them dating tips or play matchmaker from time to time but eventually gave up when it was clear they weren't interested. Alas, students of RAD, this is one forbidden fruit that refuses to be shared…! Such a tragedy… 😔
Beelzebub
They remind him of Belphie… like. A lot.
The similarities were obvious. They had a similar feel, made similar jokes, and even the same somewhat dreary attitude about them...
If he were being honest, at the beginning there were times when he'd open up to them a lot more than he intended because he'd forget that he wasn't actually talking to Belphie…
Thankfully, he knew better than to try and treat them like his replacement or anything. They were two different people after all. But it didn't stop him from feeling extra protective around them for a while.
Besides, there was ONE thing that set them leagues apart from Belphie and that was the fact they were a shit cook. Not quite as bad as Solomon but uh… Actually no, that's a closer call than it has any right to be...
Apparently, Hades kids don't need to eat as much and when you hang out with shades and skeletons for most of your life, you don’t really worry about making food that's any better than… "Well, technically it's edible." 🤷♀️
Their food won't kill a person like Solomon's, but you WILL start seeing stuff you probably shouldn't. He tried their "soup" once and swore he saw the ghost of his mother… and he doesn't even have a mother!!!
He swears that if he ever sees the MC and Solomon working together in the same kitchen he's skipping town… Whatever culinary abomination the two of them could create would probably gain sentience and eat HIM instead. He's always figured he'd go out with Death by Food, but not like that!! 😫
Belphegor
Ever meet someone who’s like looking in a mirror? Yeah, he’s getting those vibes…
He never expected the "human" to be so similar to him, it was kind of uncanny.
Upon first laying eyes on each other there was a pause… then a squint… and then… a nod.
Honestly, their combined dry wit, dark humor, and pessimistic outlook played off of each other surprisingly well. Too well for him to hate, really.
Not that it mattered because they didn’t believe him for a second when he tried to trick them (they had dealt with loads of lying monsters before). He hated to admit it, but they had a good head on their shoulders and knew better than to trust a locked up demon…
And yet, they seemed to stick around with him anyway. Because of the good conversation or just empathizing with his loneliness was anyone's guess. 🤷♀️
Sometimes they'd come up and sit outside the door in comfortable silence… Or they'd talk about whatever:
MC: *sitting out by the attic with their back against the door* So what happens to demons when they die…?
Belphie: *laying on the floor on the other side, staring at the ceiling* Depends on the kind. If I die, I'll just reform later.
MC: Like a reincarnation?
Belphie: Eh. *shrugs* Maybe. Haven't died yet.
MC: You could die in there, you know.
Belphie: *throws a side glare* Well thanks for bringing that up…
MC: *shrugs* What? It's true. But don't worry, I won't let you. *small-ish smile*
Belphie: *stares at them wide-eyed and pink-cheeked before turning on his side quickly* Ugh… whatever…
They did their word, somehow. They eventually got the door open and let him out, but by that time the anger was gone and he was just happy to finally talk to them face-to-face...
And good thing too, because apparently it's not smart to fight a death-child in what is essentially their element - as he saw when they summoned an army of skeletons to kick Levi's ass when he cheated them in Devil Cart...
He would not have lasted in that fight... Dodged a bullet there.

reminded me so much of that chat where solomon was asking whether satan and mc kissed 😂😂😂 this is gold! why did i found out about this just now 😂😂😂
“Just pretend to be my boyfriend okay?” - Satan x MC
Standing outside her locker with Satan, MC grabbed her notebooks for her next lecture at RAD. The two had just finished a platonic lunch together and were heading to class.
“I read this sonnet last night that I think you’d like.” Satan spoke casually as MC shut her locker, “it reminded me of you.”
“How?” MC asked curiously, turning round to face him.
“Well it was set in sum—“
“Oh shit.” MC interrupted as her focus fell elsewhere.
Realising she was glancing over his shoulder, Satan turned around and noticed a lesser demon heading their way. Arching an eyebrow, he turned back to MC.
“Oh?” He asked amused.
“Please do me a favour.” MC spoke in a rush, “that demon asked me on a date the other day and the only way I got him to leave me alone was to say I’m already in a relationship.”
“Why would you say that?” Satan asked curiously, still smirking at MC.
“Because I think he’s more interested in feasting on me than actually being with me.” MC shot back sassily, “now do me a favour and just pretend to be my boyfriend okay?”
“You want me to pretend to be your boyfriend?” Satan quizzed.
“Yes! Please!” MC begged desperately.
“So you want that demon to think we’re together?” He continued asking, sniggering at MC.
“Please, Satan!” MC whined.
“Okay.” He breathed.
Before she could even process what was happening, MC felt Satan wrap an arm around her waist. Within seconds he pressed his lips against her own. Her entire body jolted at his gesture.
Although startled, MC was surprised to find herself kissing Satan back. Even though he caught her unexpectedly, she actually liked the feeling of his lips on hers.
Their kiss was passionate and even earned a few stares from lesser demons walking past.
Naturally, the lesser demon that had asked MC out soon fled the corridor after seeing her in the arms of Satan no less.
Smiling into the kiss, the blond haired demon then pulled out. MC felt her body lean forward as though a magnetic pull was bringing her back to him.
“Oh...” she mumbled quietly, quickly opening her eyes.
“I don’t think he’ll be asking you out again anytime soon.” Satan smirked at MC as she blushed.

Shared Umbrella
Pairing: Miyuki Kazuya x Sawamura Eijun
Genre: Fluff
Rating: G
Word count: 1.5k
Alternate Universe, One shot
Synopsis: For the first time, Kazuya is so close to his favourite person.

He let’s out a heavy sigh, it is quite a downpour outside. The clouds are so dark if he didn’t know what time it currently is, he will definitely thought it’s already evening.
He still have three more classes, and he is hoping that by the end of it, the rain has already stopped.
With one last sigh, he turns his focus back on his teacher as the rain continues to shower the earth.
Later that day, Kazuya fights the urge to groan in dismay, the rain still hasn’t stop, and though it is not pouring as heavily as it did earlier, it is still impossible for him not to go home a little wet.
Without much of a choice, the fifth grader opens his backpack and takes out his umbrella.
He would rather not stay in school for long, some of his friends might spot him and drag him in their shenanigans.
He opens his umbrella and walks out into the rain, away from the protection that the school buildings alcove provides him from the rain.
He takes about five steps when someone runs towards him, taking shelter under his umbrella, startling Kazuya in the process.
He frowns.
Fixing his glasses and mouth opens to berate whoever it is that decides it will be fine to run into his umbrella built to fit just one kid.
If it’s Youichi or Mei, he will definitely push them away.
When he turns to his right though, he is not expecting a familiar mop of brown hair. He is expecting green or maybe blond... maybe even red, pink or black.
But definitely not brown.
Kazuya is not expecting their neighbour and fourth grader Sawamura Eijun to duck under his umbrella.
The younger boy is currently clutching the straps of his backpack tightly, with droplets of rain on his hair.
The boy looks up at him, eyes bright in that brilliant shade of gold and offering a small shy and apologetic smile.
It is obvious that he doesn’t have his umbrella with him.
Kazuya doesn’t have the heart to push him away, cheeks warm and hand getting a little clammy.
He says nothing, looking ahead of him as he continues to walk, in a much slower pace than normal so that Eijun won’t be left behind.
For the first time, Kazuya is so close to his favourite person.
Under one umbrella... the two of them, strangely, fits just right.
“The rain is not stopping...” Eijun says, eyes glued on the ground.
Kazuya nods his head, before inwardly grimacing when he realizes that Eijun is not looking at him so he lets out a small grunt. He don’t want Eijun to think that he is being ignored and that he is an ‘unapproachable kid’ just like what Mei – Eijun’s cousin – keeps on telling him.
He looks at his companion and tips his umbrella slightly to the right, making sure that Eijun’s arm will not get wet.
The younger boy smiling up brightly at him and moving a bit closer.
His hands clutching on Kazuya’s arm as he shivers a little.
Kazuya looks away, feeling his cheeks heating up more.
Kazuya could still remember the day when he first met Eijun. He is on his third grade that time, and Mei, his so called best friend introduces him to his cousin who is a transferee from a school somewhere in Nagano.
Kazuya has never met someone so bright before; not Mei with his blond hair, not Youichi with his leafy green hair, or the Kominato’s bubbly pink hair, or even Katsuyuki’s red hair.
Eijun is a different kind of bright.
He is loud, but Kazuya thinks that his loud mouth fits his bright personality perfectly.
With his beautiful golden eyes, wide toothy grin and cheerful laughter, Eijun is so bright yet warm Kazuya couldn’t help but admire him.
He is so delighted when he finds out a week after that the younger boy lives two houses ahead of him.
But they never get to interact much, not even when their mothers are together for a tea, or their fathers bonding over chess or shogi and cars.
Even at school, he rarely sees the boy, for Eijun is always surrounded by a group of children who are taken in by the brightness that he emits.
So no matter how much he wants to spend some time with the other boy, the universe, for whatever reason, just won’t permit.
And, well... yes, he does have a crush on the other boy.
A painfully embarrassing experience for him when his dearest mother finds out, and his father not helping in the slightest.
Kazuya take a glance on the boy, just an inch or so shorter than him. Wondering what thoughts are running right now in Eijun’s pretty head.
He could feel the butterflies in his tummy performing various gymnastic stunts, maybe even competing vigorously with one another.
He opens his mouth, wanting to say something... but nothing comes out.
He gulps, he really should say something.
Otherwise, Eijun will think he’s really boring.
He wants to tell the other boy how much he likes him, and maybe they can become close friends just like their parents.
Play and watch baseball together... “Uhm... Ei-kun, you know...”
“Hmm?”
“Wow...” he suddenly thinks “His eyes are really pretty... and bright and dazzling.” Kazuya once again can’t find the words to say.
For someone who has no problem talking back with mean older kids and making witty comebacks on his friends, Kazuya sure is tongue-tied when Eijun is in front of him.
He looks away and shakes his head, “Nothing,” he mumbles “Nothing at all."
Eijun tilts his head, confusion evident but he decides it’s no use insisting the other boy what he wants to say.
He clutches on his arms tightly, but not overly so, as they continue to walk back home. Kazuya’s umbrella their only shelter from the rain.
Kazuya glances at the other boy again, he’s strangely quiet, not that he minds, it’s just rare to find him not talking about random things or laughing about something.
He looks at the sky, hoping that the rain will continue to pour down.
Not wanting this rare moment to end.
Wanting to spend more time with the other boy, maybe... talk about random stuffs, like baseball... or the latest episode of Doraemon.
Maybe they can both laugh at Youichi’s unfortunate incident earlier, or Kenta accidentally swallowing an apple seed and panicking because he thought it’ll grow inside his tummy.
He can also spill about Mei getting into trouble and Masa-nii coming to bail him out of it, or about how cool Tetsu-nii and Chris-nii are.
“We’re almost home...” Eijun voices out.
Ah... the time is not on his side it seems.
And the rain... the rain is almost coming to a stop.
“Un,” is his only response. Mind and mouth still unable to cooperate.
Today is a rare chance, yet, Kazuya is unable to take advantage of it.
He wish that tomorrow, it will rain again.
And that Eijun will forget to bring umbrella again.
Maybe then, maybe they will be able to talk about a lot of things.
Maybe then he will finally be able to tell the other boy that he likes him, that he is his favourite person and wishes to be friends with him.
Kazuya let out a small sigh, it feels like the passing rain is laughing at him. Making fun of him for failing to take advantage of this rare oppurtunity to get close to the bright boy.
And as they come closer to Eijun’s house and rain stops, Kazuya wishes from the bottom of his heart that it will rain again tomorrow.
Letting go of Kazuya’s arm, Eijun smiled at Kazuya, bright and golden and warm the latter can’t look away.
“Thank you for today, Miyuki Kazuya! Laters!” He told him before ducking out of the umbrella and running the small distance to their house, leaving Kazuya looking after him.
A small smile graces Kazuya’s features, he closes his umbrella and adjusts his glasses. The butterflies in his tummy are still competing in gymnastics, his cheeks still feels warm and hands still clammy.
The spot on his right arm where Eijun have been clutching him tingles with warmth.
Tomorrow... if it rains again, and hopefully it will, Kazuya will make sure to properly communicate, so they can talk about a lot of things while walking home together in the rain, under his umbrella.

Omake
Eijun peeks through the door, watching as Kazuya walks away before softly closing the door.
Leaning on the door, he opens his backpack, staring at his yellow folding umbrella. A soft blush dusting his cheeks as a small smile blooms on his face.
“I hope it rains again tomorrow.”
He just hopes that his Mei-nii didn’t saw, or he will definitely tease him about his little crush.

“Under one umbrella
I can't honestly convey my hidden feelings
Please don't let this end
The passing rain is telling me to hurry
Love in the rain for the two who came closer”

quick and dirty guide to recognizing stolen content on tumblr
there is RAMPANT art and photography reposting on this stupid website, and it occurs to me that folks might not know how to recognize it. here are the mental gymnastics i go through every time i see a sus post
1. is there a caption? most creators tend to leave one. maybe it's so their url is prominent, or to express their thoughts about the piece, link their shops/websites, etc. most reposters leave the captions blank
2. look for credit in the picture. is there a name, handle, or watermark? does it match the url?
3. check the original post. often you'll find that the original poster actually linked the artist. go forth and reblog that version!! for some godforsaken reason people keep REMOVING CREDIT on this website and i will MANIFEST INSIDE YOUR HOUSE IF YOU DO SO
4. check the tags of the original post. beyond the main fandom/character/subject tags, creators tend to have a #my-art tag or something similar. photographers often use #photographers-on-tumblr/lensblr. sometimes they'll also have thoughts about their work there. this doesn't always work, but personally i never see reposters adding tags like this
5. look at op's other posts and bio. is there anything about being an artist or photographer in the description? does the art they post look the same? usually this is where you'll Know if it's a serial reposter, because their blog will be FULL of reposted shit with no captions that all have different styles. also half the time their blog description straight up admits it
6. check the notes to see if someone added the proper credit. at this point, if you know it's a repost but still wanna reblog it, at least give credit where it's due. see if someone else already did the work for you
7. reblog and add a link with creator credit. if you know it's a repost, and you can't find credit, consider doing your part to help creators get their well-deserved recognition. usually you can just google the watermark in the picture. otherwise reverse image search on google or tineye is your friend
8. if the original creator is on tumblr, reblog their version of the post. if you've gotten this far it's not hard to search their blog for it
9. consider letting the artist know their art has been stolen and send them the link. this way they can take action and file whatever claims they need to get it taken down
10. finally, support original content creators! look at the #artists-on-tumblr and #photographers-on-tumblr tags, follow your favourite creators and reblog their work. seriously it can make a huge difference
if you read this far, THANK YOU. making sure content creators get their credit is literally the bare minimum we can do to be respectful of the countless hours they spend on their work. especially when that content is freely accessible

to whoever needs this right now…
your comfort character is so damn proud of you and the person you’ve become.
your comfort character would choose you first. no matter the circumstances.
your comfort character would drop everything to help you when you’re feeling sad, unloved or lonely.
your comfort character would walk to the ends of the earth if it meant seeing you happy.
your comfort character thinks you are the most stunning person in the universe. that new outfit you don’t think you look good in? they’d fight you just to prove just the opposite, to prove how beautiful/handsome/attractive you are - inside and out.
your comfort character can’t help but look at you like you put the stars in the sky.
your comfort character is always there if you need to get away. bad home life? they’ve got you. friend troubles? they’re on their way as we speak. just having a rough day? not to worry, they’re here to calm you down.
your comfort character always listens to what you have to say. they’d yell for everyone to shut up so you could have your turn to talk, no matter the topic.
your comfort character never lets you walk behind everyone on the sidewalk. they’re right beside you, always.
your comfort character loves you more than anything in this world. they think you’re the strongest person they’ve ever met, and hope that you always keep fighting.
