I really didn't think I'd like Maximus as much as I do. I'm normally uninterested in the Brotherhood of Steel, especially the way Bethesda tends to present them. I find it pretentious and a tad annoying. And Episode 1 felt like it was trying to do that.
And then we saw how pathetic the Brotherhood is. And Maximus really just wanted to be a silly little guy with power armor. He just wanted to live a carefree life eating oysters and popcorn in a Vault. He just wanted to save a pretty girl. He just wanted to not be bullied anymore.
And I love him.

alright guys im curious. who were the worst mutuals youve ever had
#part 2#my beloved went so far as to block them#the nightmare kept trying to interact so i decided to message them and politely let them know they were blocked and why#they gave an insincere apology and kept doing it#i had to talk to them again#my beloved felt disrespected hurt and uncomfortable so i stepped in to help again#which i was more than happy to do#they turned it around and manipulated me into feeling like i was the villain for standing up for a friend they were bullying#i felt bad about confronting them for a while but it took me some time to realize they were manipulating me once again#its all over and done with but i still hate how i was treated#and even more so that they bullied my friend so badly#not to mention we found another mutual who they treated the same way#so much so that they had to warn other people in the community not to interact with this person#im glad its all over but it still hurts knowing i trusted them and they betrayed my trust for clicks and trying to be better than us

#I have horror stories that involved mutuals#but one stood out as the worst#i could rant because i never really got the chance to let my experiences known except for with like two moots who experienced the same thin#i started this blog originally to write slasher x reader fanfics#and ive made some amazing friends through that#i remember a close moot working on an oc project with one of their mutuals and i was invited to join so we became mutuals as well#this new mutual was the nightmare#i was so excited!! getting to work on a fun writing project and making new friends#this was especially welcomed after leaving an abusive romantic relationship and losing all of my in person friends#so the fact that i was making new friends online was huge for me#one of these friends in this writing project really helping me heal#the other one didnt#it started off fun#it genuinely felt like a group#but then i felt myself getting pushed to the side by one of the members of this project#i barely even felt like i was involved because of them and i debated even leaving the group#i only stayed because i enjoyed working with the other person and they convinced me to stay#it seems the bully mutual was jealous of the other persons work which did better numbers and interactions#and i got stuck trying to create work while the bully constantly pushed me down to do better than our project partner#they never seemed to care about me and used me as someone to throw all of their self entitled ideas at and completely ignore me#going as far as changing the subject entirely when the conversation wasnt about them#they kept trying and begging and pestering me to rush my work#i took pride in my work and took my time#they just seemed to pump things out for the sake of getting seen first therefore getting more attention than us#i was walking on eggshells again after leaving my abuser who i had to do the same thing for#i later found out that the mutual i liked working with was being heavily bullied by them which broke my heart#they bullied my beloved mutual into changing their own work so it could work better around their ideas that they wanted to forcefully inser#like my beloved made a whole new oc that wasnt related to the group project#they worked really hard and succeeded on creating something amazing and the nightmare mutual started taking it and making it their own#like they werent even apart of it but made posts and inserted their own work into a passion project they had no right touching
