Being a fan of werewolf horror will have you saying shit like "Pussy so lethal it turns someone into a lycanthrope" and move on with your day

It’s funny that songs from the 1930s-1950s get registered as creepy because they’re old. Do you think horror movies made in 2095 will set their credits to Closer by the Chainsmokers

I don't get posts that dismiss Justine Gandy as "just" an alcoholic or inappropriate with children or whatever. Lapsing was evidently the result of being severely targeted by the entire community, of being repeatedly blamed for shit that's not even her fault. Paul's wife attacked *her* even though *Paul* was the one who lied, he gets away with just being called a piece of shit, and that's the least of the attacks she's faced.
Justine's whole arc is just a clear trauma story to mirror Alex's. She is a shaken woman denied support at every turn and repeatedly attacked, forced to rely on the same person who vandalized her car and isolated her further. She's clearly a story about how unsupported trauma will twist the world against you. In the scene where she bends down to speak Alex and we see "Witch" blazing beside her head, Alex is terrified and lashes out, the community's pressure on her have isolated the both of them and pushed Alex away from the one source who would've unquestionably believed and helped him.
Calling her a "flawed character" I think just flattens a really well thought out character in a movie that really cares about how its stories and characters intersect. She's flawed if being isolated and targeted by your community and losing all your support systems because of unsubstantiated rumours is a "flaw."

Ice Nine Kills, for the most part, is just insane and unserious but sometimes you'll get lyrics that border on being like poetic and beautiful but they're just about some mediocre cult classic horror movie.
Like "he drowned in all our sins, he drowned in our mistakes, fueled by the flood, we pay in blood" woah that's got some kind of dramatic religious connotation what are those lyrics about? Friday the 13th.
"I hope saying goodnight doesn't mean saying goodbye, now under the pressure, we're drowning together" sounds like a heartbreaking love ballad, what's that song about? Psycho.
"I'll see you on the other side, but I'd kill to bring you back tonight. Don't give up, don't let go, I'll make this right. I'll dig through sorrow and disgust, ashes to ashes, dust to dust" yeah that's about Pet Sematary.
"There is no real me, just this dark entity that cannot be redeemed, so it's time to say goodbye" damn that's pretty edgy and dramatic, what could that be about? American Psycho.
"Can you take me away to a faraway place? Where you go, I will go, not a moment too late" that's so beautiful, sounds like such a sweet love story. Nope it's about the fucking MATRIX.
