I just got back from the optometrist, my eyesight has gotten worse and my glasses are broken so I need new ones and new prescription: that is 575$ in total, including the check up... Nader Al-Anqar is 17 year old. He was studying hard and trying to graduate when his school was bombed and destroyed.

His family has been displaced over ten times. During the short ceasefire they were allowed to return home, but when they arrived they found it bombed and ruined beyond livable conditions. They're now homeless and are trying to survive in desperate conditions, fearing bombs day and night.

His family includes his mom, his dad (who has cancer and needs urgent treatment), his little brother Mohammed (14 years old), his older brother Abdul Salam (26 years old), his sister-in-law Aya Al-Batniji, and his niece Iman (who is only 1 year old). He worries for his father who can't receive cancer treatment because Israel destroyed so much of the healthcare system, infrastructure, and resources. He worries for his baby niece who has been born into genocidal conditions and only knows this level of danger.

He is just a kid. We text over Signal and he is shouldering so much responsibility for the survival of his whole family trying to fund-raise on tumblr.

He and his brother survived an explosion of two planes just last night. I'm sure you've seen other posts discussing the recent bombings.

He just sent me this recording. You can hear the sound of helicopters firing nearby.

Things are really scary, and he is desperate for help. He shouldn't have to do this alone.

So my other post has kinda died in terms of traction so here is a new one! Hi my name is Sierra I'm 27, bisexual, mixed race, very physical disabled, mentally ill and I need help to get my teeth removed and to get new teeth! Here is everything super condensed! I have a connective tissue disorder and am unable to work, along with this came chronic nausea, vomitting, and cyclical vomitting which had completely destroyed my teeth. Trying once again since my options are very limited right now and I don't really have a choice. Hopefully Tumblr doesn't shadowban this post too.

I haven't been able to work my regular hours due to my heart condition. My insurance covers most of the medical expenses, but I'm severely behind on rent (the equivalent is around $2500 US). I'm out of sick days and I'm currently on unpaid leave territory. I can't afford rent, nor groceries. Not even food for my cats.

I really wouldn't be begging for help on the internet if I had a functional family that could help me. I'm sorry.

Something really shitty has just been passed by the UK goverment.

A new bill that is stripping out human rights has been passed and we need to fight it before it costs lives. The new Human Rights Bill has made nazi Germans esc changes that will effect you or somone you love.

The most notiable parts being:

-If you are admitted to hospital with a disability or chronic condition a doctor can put a DNR do not ressusatate on you and you can’t appeal it.

-They are stopping woman from being able to move fowards with assault charges

- They are making it impossible for victims of terrorism to get justice. They won’t let people like the victims of  the hillsborough disaster hold the people responsible

Please do your own research if you must but we can’t let this happen!

so, to sum up the last couple weeks:

the NFT fad ended and several tokens that were supposed to be worth millions were sold for peanuts

terra luna tanked and dragged terra’s stablecoin off its peg. terra was the 3rd largest stablecoin at the time

meanwhile, people are starting to face legal consequences for stuff like fraud and money laundering

terra freezes their blockchain to prevent a run on the bank stablecoin

tether and dei also lose their pegs and tank

a court is forcing tether to reveal its reserve records to the public, which will definitely show that they’re backed by significantly less money than they claim

etherium and bitcoin both crash hard at the same time

tether’s market cap has dropped by several billion in the past few days, which might mean that some of the people at the top of the pyramid scheme are cashing out in dollars. just scooping up handfuls of money from tether’s reserves and running for the hills
