actually yeah 100% !!! which is why I sometimes draw one of my camp counselor ocs as the player in my slashfic rpg concept doodles !! :3

i don't really have much ideas on how the dressing room mechanics would look like but i did like have the idea of the dressing room being in a dark room where there's a light shining down on your character who's standing on a rug and a mirror beside them and yeah!! yr character can probably do some fun idle animations or wtv

Exactly my thoughts as well! This is exactly why I stopped playing Slashfic sighs 😞

Everything was already so good, then they just had to change the plot and add more unnecessary bullshit into the story. The curse of Camp Nevermoor was already great, I agree! As well as the paywalls... EUGH

Devs we love your game but PLEASE don't get too greedy and for constructive criticism, please improve the writing of both the story and the characters

ok im just gonna ramble a bit here.

So, to be honest, not really happy with the whole paywall thing slashfic got going on, every other painfully obvious important option that changes the course of the story's trajectory is hit with the hearts thingy, it kinda feels like the mc is being trapped in some sort of inescapable box . Ive noticed that everytime theres this "upcoming big moment" it leads to another downer and the authors are really milking and dragging it out for very long— by adding more characters that do not play a vital role to the main story, plotlines being stacked one after another ,it has gotten to the point that the whole of slashfic is getting difficult to keep track of, the storyline is messy with all these new plotlines, the character writing being done dirty. Despite all that, i think slashfic can *still* be made into something more interesting , something that is not as uncomfortable as the questionable ads they have...

Another thing— the development of relationships of mc with the main 4 is too quick, too forced i feel. Would've been more reasonable if the slashers slowly , and i mean by their own pace, gain trust in mc and not just literally jump right into "spice" .

So heres my conclusion to this: Slashfic has a very messy story, tricky to keep track of because of unecessary plotlines that add nothing to its supposed horror element. The whole mystery behind camp nevermoor, was working well enough JUST FINE. The settlers, the tree, lysa monroe and the cultists, and the involvement of the dunlaps with magic was a driving point.

And it got me thinking and brew more ideas.

1.) A comic, all things orgainzed into one. A comic where it gives us more insight, background or info/depth to camp nevermoor and the events that took place before the main conflict happened. This way, it could give more easy to navigate and understandable context to the main story and why it happened.

2.) A game, it has fun mechanics like a minigame and all. The game explores more on the main story, aka the recent events happening. This could also be an opportunity to see more into the lives of the slashers or camp counselors and explore their character by being given more information on each of them, be it their history or life growing up where you can play in their perspective to understand more, to feel the characters complexities and the nuances of why they are the way they are. For hearts, you dont have to pay, you earn them! Example: By playing into a sidestory of each character or do simple tasks that correlates to their preferences (Basically a whole grind system) So ; more hearts earned = increased bloodlust. As for the minigame, it could help build up your skills! (Stealth, agility, speed, strength, reaction) with each score adding to the percentage of each skill, and these skills helps you progress even more in the story.

I already have art and redesigns in mind, these ideas aren't really much of a help to my motivation of finishing the plans i already have in motion😅

guys these are all concepts okay..... I'm just sharing ideas so don't throw rocks at me or anything!!! 😸😸😸

Tw; some slight blood mentioned and shown, also possible grammar mistakes, and very sloppy drawings bcuz I finished this all last night 😓😓😓

I did wanted this to be a Gritty VHS-glitch horror with some thriller and mystery mixed with late 2000s dating sim aesthetics aaand the fonts being a distressed typewriter font for narration! the cursor could be a literal knife.. and the sound sfx being a static distortion, a faint heartbeats, and some whispers!! I want this slashfic rpg to be the type of Rpg horror game that will probably have two modes to save some ppl's sanity; Normal Mode or Lovesick Mode! Where basically, Normal mode will be quite forgiving and you will be able to rack up bloodlust points of your favorite slashers which means you will rarely get any death screens! And you get to save! Hooray!

And then Lovesick mode will be the harder mode, as it will be completely unforgiving and harder to raise your bloodlust points with your slashers which means it will also equal into more death screens, and maybeee.. you won't be able to save.. (I'm still debating on this) so you practically have to really think carefully about your choices and making the right call while playing Lovesick mode!

i haven't thought much about the mechanics and other stuff bcuz that costs too much brain power but this is my current idea for the inventory system...! That Darkness Meter in the top right is indeed, based off the time in the early Slashfic eps where we had our darkness rising, and I kind of liked that idea and decided to incorporate it here! The Darkness Meter practically acts like a sanity or mental darkness meter, where it rises with terrifying events that happens or other stuff that can cause your sanity to drain, and if you were to have a very high darkness meter, you'd start to get hallucinations (perhaps of shadow people or the slashers attacking you or whatever) and you will begin to get poor choices with your slashers (or other characters) that won't gain you any affection points whatsoever, and maybe it could equal to a death screen if you were to pick the wrong choice of words (to be fair they'd all be bad choices) but anyways!

Those little paper dividers you see on the side of the inventory are supposed to lead you to different options, i have no idea what the First peach colored divider with the paper icon would lead to but the Second blush colored divider with the heart icon would lead to the Slasher Relationship Tracker! The Third glaucous colored divider with the open book icon would lead to the Collectibles you can collect and lastly the Fourth basil colored divider with the question mark icon would obviously lead to a tutorial for all of the gameplay and stuff!! But now it's time to yap about the Slasher Affection Tracker and Collectibles.. sweats

the current concept of mine for the Slasher Affection Tracker.. is to make it look like a document for now! And these documents will all be personalized by their specific Slashers on the page, like Jay as an example would probably have a bunch of stickers on his! But anywho, basically you'd still have the bloodlust or affection meter on the relationship tracker obviously and I incorporated the meter from Slashfic since I had no clue on how to do mine.. and I wanted to add in the Status, a kill or spare status where you can tell how they feel about you, and so you can know if they plan to kill you any time soon! And lastly the Notes part, which is basically notes abt the slashers that will be written down or added with a sticky note whenever your bloodlust with them gets higher! And it's basically a way to get a quick insight on the slasher's personalities and likes or dislikes, or whatever!! It's supposed to help you understand them better so you know what choices to pick if you were to talk to them!

Now unto the Collectibles!! These would be Fun Items you can collect, or Endings you got after each run.. or Entries on the Slashers, aka, their lore! I keep thinking about how I had to write down their lore and replay some episodes just to get a small tidbit of lore, so I had the idea to actually be able to document and save their lore, via a collection of Entries! Each entry would also be personalized by the characters they're about just like the Slasher Affection Tracker, but this time you can track down and collect entries of their lore, backstory or whatever via polaroid pictures or pages or other stuff! (mostly had this idea just to save some slashfic writers) The endings part of the Collectibles could either be; replaying the ending scenes or it's mostly there for collectible purposes.. but yeah this is still a concept

now on to some gameplay mechanics concepts, since I said I wanted some mystery in this rpg version of slashfic, but anywyas! yeah you can collect these little clues for ideas on your next objective or collect some lore tid bits for the bloody entries and ermm yeah! you basically be a little detective when you search around cabins or labs or wtv..

i had the first idea to make you be able to go into first person mode and your knife cursor turns into a magnifying glass or bloody hand cursor and basically you're playing a point and click game when you're investigating whatever you're investigating.. but I don't know if that'd fit so I scrapped it and kept the 3d rpg feel

now! unto the dialogue mechanics I had in mind! i think it'd be fun where during the dialogue you'd have a timer appears and you have to hover your knife cursor to pick which of the choices or stuff like that!! there's honestly not much going on but i don't have any ideas yet but this is of course just a concept and a messy doodle of my idea but mb chat!

i also think it'd be fun where if you were to run into your slashers in the early start or when they're mad or whatever.. you could get attacked or chased! Where a Wheel of choices would appear and you'd Choose with the same knife cursor between: Fight, Flee, or Talk while the same Time Limit would begin to count down but become all glitchy and have a shorter time limit which is intended to make you stressed!!

Fight = risk of a death screen, but could gain bloodlust points from specific Slashers

Flee = stamina cost, but could could gain bloodlust points from specific Slashers

Talk = high risk but also a high reward (you have to use your knowledge abt them or their emotion to stop them, even gain bloodlust points!)

And if you were to get caught while fleeing, talking or fighting: then a Struggle Bar would appear! The struggle bar is a type of mechanic where you need to tap rapidly on the screen/button mash a keyboard button to be able to run away successfully! this only appears if you're being attacked by one of the slashers and you'd have to rapidly click a button or rapidly tap the screen until the meter turns full so you will be able to momentarily 'overpower' your foe and be able to live!

yeah this is all I have in mind, I guess I could also show my scrapped ideas for the Saves and Endings Collection but yeah that's it!! i might edit this post when I feel like it but anyhow thanks for reading this concept of Slashfic as an Rpg 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏😸😸😸😸😸😸

Did you think Magdalena didn't even try to stop Mike when he was going to kill her? Ever since your post about the Dunlap siblings scarred me, I couldn't stop thinking about them. Ugh, I can imagine the angst so vividly and I hate that 😭

Anyway, when Mike was "controlled" by his parents to kill her, I think she just accepted her fate because 1) there's no way she will ever hurt her baby brother—she loves him too much; and 2) Magdalena probably found out the dark secrets of her parents, and she instantly knew she was powerless against them. Even if she tries to stop them, it was difficult to do it all alone.

The scene is something like this:

The time has come, I see.

Magdalena thinks to herself as she watches Mike approach her, a kitchen knife in his small hand. His face was etched with malice, the familiar innocence no longer to be found. His beautiful eyes were narrowed, blinded by his desire for violence.

She knew this would happen—she discovered their parents' secret not so long ago, and she ultimately knew she will be out of the picture. It was least in her expectations it would happen so soon, however.

Mike starts to take a slow step forward, but Magdalena stays in her place. Her heart hammered in her chest, painfully ringing in her ears. She can hear her swallow breaths so clearly. Magdalena knew she had to do something: run, fight, anything to escape from death.

But her knees were trembling and she could not choose to fight him either. How can she hurt her own blood? Ironic.

"Mike," his sister mutters his name. "Can you hear me?"

The boy lets out a frustrated huff, his pace now faster than earlier. The woman flinches, but she stays firmly. She keeps a strong expression, but the tears in her eyes betray her. She whispers, "You... you're not supposed to do this. You should be playing with your teddy or doodling on paper—"

"Stop." Mike cuts her off with a choked voice. His hands were shaking, his lips purse with conflict. "I'm not letting you get in my way."

Magdalena can hear her heart break when Mike speaks to her so differently. All she can see was his innocent face, his curious eyes. He was only a child, yet here they are.

She silently curses her parents, wishing them to be damned for doing something as disturbing to Mike. The thought of the Darkness gradually consuming him hurts her, a stab that kills her again and again. If only she knew, then maybe just could have prevented this.

Once Magdalena was ready, she opens her arms and gives him a bittersweet smile, her tears endlessly spilling from her eyes. If she was dying today, then all she needs is one last hug from Mike.

"Come here, pup."
