Did Day try to escape during his engagement from Catnap? I mean escape from the palace or even try to escape from the kingdom to avoid this marriage? And if he did, what did Catnap do and what was his reaction?

Day was under the impression he wasn’t even getting married, it’s something that wasn’t planned until last minute (By Catnap)

Even if he was he did know about it, he would’ve had the ring around his neck and imprisoned in the dungeons cell. Considering his physical complexion during that time he wouldn’t have been able to do much (especially without any allies)

How's catnap's relationship with dogday going after they had child together?

I they wouldn’t be as close as when they were younger but it’ll be a certain improvement from before. Especially since Day will become semi absent from AsterDawns life, Catnap being the main caretaker.

Day and Cat wouldn’t interact as much but they mutually will respect each other and make sure Asterdawn has a good childhood/upbringing. Kinda a complicated family relationship but otherwise healthy. [:

It's a question that came to my mind... It's stupid but I'm curious 🗿Does day mother and him family really love him?? Because after what happened in the second chapter, I felt that his mother sees him as just a tool and nothing more. Also... How is the Sunlight house?? Has their situation become difficult or what?? Like their social situation and their position

Day’s family is more a “more than meets the eye” type. Yes Day’s parents do care for him and his siblings, especially his mother who would do everything she can to protect him. It’s just due to the circumstances they found themselves in, with their social status in the Houses being shaky now, they can’t afford to make any mistakes. Days father didn’t put up any resistance and let Day be married off to Catnap for a reason, even if Day doesn’t know it (he does have resentment towards his dad for it). Day’s mother gives him poisons for an attempt assassination on Catnap for a reason as well, she doesn’t really want to kill him lol

Social position wise, they are dead last when it comes to the Houses (Sunlight, Cosmos, Ember and Moonlight). Especially Bubba’s house, which used to be in second has gone down just above Day’s house. The new/current hierarchy being: Moonlight, Ember, Cosmos and Sunlight. They have been casted out from any politics, decisions regarding the armory etc.

Ive been working on and off on the next chapter for Red Crescent where it will touch a bit more on the Sunlight house/history. I just need to get it done soon maybe I’ll take this week to try and get a draft done.

Im also working on a comic where it takes place before the events of chapter 1, it’s currently on hiatus as well but I plan on bringing it back when I have some more free time and inspiration (you can find it in my archive being “The Fall”)

But here’s the summary! Hopefully this makes sense I suck at these 😭🙏

Red Crescent centers around a chunk of the main cast and soon some members of the Nightmare critters. It’s set in a world with royalty, politics and a magic system. The “Houses” home families of critters who are capable of using magic (DogDay, Catnap, Hoppy, with Bubba being an exception). Something that has been disappearing for centuries until only they remain as the old face of that era.

The story follows DogDay who has been forced into a marriage with his ex-best friend Catnap, it does take some Beauty and the Beast elements but not so much. There are Gods/Goddesses who play an important part of the Houses and worlds lore. They will be one of the main catalysts for the breaking point in the story for Day and the others. With Bubba and Kickin being a second story in this (they are important believe it or not) It is an enemies to lovers (very much) and slow burn (bcs that’s my favorite :D). But it also centers around family, relationships and some heavy topics occasionally!

So catnap who is now stuck in dogday's body how do you feel that your frau- I mean your God is now dead and your husband who is in your body has a 98% chance of divorcing you (I said 98 because dogday might feel bad enough not to do it after seeing catnap cry and beg him not do it but that's a big maybe).

I need to continue that quick AU idea lollll

I’m not sure Catnap would be thinking about DogDay divorcing him at that time when the whole world is about to be destroyed. 😭

it’s pretty obvious I’m a Daynap shipper so yes they will develop feelings. They’ll (DogDay) will just hate each other’s guts for a good minute before any romantic feelings develop. XD

An AU where dogday lost his memories and catnap finds out how would you do it?

oooooo if I remember correctly during a QnA someone asked Catnap what he would do if that were to happen.

Idk if I’ll repeat the same thing I don’t really remember 100% what I said. But Catnap and DogDay wouldn’t have the strained relationship they have currently. DogDay would only have memories from when they were younger to their late teens. Catnap would morph himself into the person DogDay remembers him by, he would be happy but guilty at the same time. Day wouldn’t have the collar around his neck and due to that he would kill the Prototype, leading to a bad ending ( just like in the version if they swapped bodies). but it does sound fun to draw/write sometime, maybe when I get enough motivation I’ll write a short story on Ao3 about that who knows (:
