Welbik: A Tiny Motorcycle Used in WWII
The Welbike was a British single-seat folding motorcycle produced during World War II. It has the distinction of being the smallest motorcycle ever used by the British Armed Forces.

Between 1942 and 1943, 3,641 units (plus a prototype and some pilot models) were built and some were issued to the British 1st and 6th Airborne Divisions. With its small size, the Welbike was perfect for airborne operations. In fact it was so small that one could fit in a standard British parachute airdrop container.

How not to fall asleep while studying?
A trick from old India.
To stay awake during their late-night studies, students often tied their hairs to nails or any fixture. When they nodded off, the hairs got pulled, making them awake again.

A Tamil (South Indian) Brahmin (priest class) student of the University of Madras, with his hair tied to a nail in the wall, to prevent him from falling asleep in this photograph taken circa 1948.
