Back in 2012, I suffered a severe lower lumber back injury and it progressively got worse and worse. Last year August 2016, I finally decided to find out what’s going on. After the CT scan in Spain, the Doctor said: “I’m sorry but your back is very damaged. It’s too dangerous to operate on. If we operated on this, it’s a 50:50 chance that you will be in a wheelchair earlier!” Devastated! Due to my own ignorance, lack of knowledge, the poor form of a deadlift back in 2012, lead to this moment. August 2016, I decided to quit fitness. After 1 year of recovery and having lost all of the progress, I became weaker, ill looking, older looking and smaller. I gave up and started eating really badly, pizza and potato wedges everyday. I thought, why not become a guinea pig and prove that I could do it again. Started comfort eating again and even my work uniform didn’t fit me anymore. Since October 2017, I finally picked myself back up again. It wasn’t easy, the mindset was a mess, I didn’t feel like training anymore, but knew I had to do this for me.
