They all reminded him of his Pops. Or Mark. Or even himself. He always found himself ruffling not Ivy's hair but her hat, as if making sure it stayed on tight. That old beanie was hers now.

A birthday present for my dear best friend @sliding-into-space!!! I love their ocs of Slider's kiddos! This piece was inspired by her hc that Coop shuts down before meeting them, and that his beanie is now worn by one of them, Ivy. It's gotten a little raggedy, but to be loved to be changed. <3

Day 3 of Cyberweek was color and I just really wanted to do something with my favorite color: Purple. Lmao. The Cyberspace and the skies of the Cybersites are so stunning. My absolute favorite is when they’re purple, so I used several them as reference here . I also drew the trio here using nothing but my color palette for them hahah.

Cyberweek Day 2 - Seasons

I decided to go with Spring and to dress the trio up!! Another pretty simple piece all things considered. I don't consider fashion/design my strong point, but I enjoy looking up clothes based on a character's personality. :3 Tossed some flowers in their hair for good measure.

Cyberweek Day 4 - Chill

The two weeks before Cyberweek, I managed to make a sketch for each prompt. This was the one I was most looking forward to working on. It may not be my most ambitious piece of the bunch, but I love just drawing these three being happy.

For Always Human Verse, are any of Slider's foster parents worth noting? Or is he in and out too quickly to get to know any of them?

Slider is very much labeled a "bad" kid. He's constantly reported as a runaway, he skips class, and is definitely seen as a future high school dropout despite his clear intellect. He's been given way too many "If only you applied yourself" speeches, but what they don't understand is Slider is applying himself, just towards searching for his pops, not his studies.

As for any of note, Slider would say no. However, there's definitely been more than a few that stand out for one reason or another. His first foster parents kept talking about adoption, and Slider ran away that night. When he returned two days later, they ended up having a large argument about how Slider couldn't live his life waiting for a father to return who never was going to. He ended up breaking his arm after falling out of a tree, trying to climb out of his second story window. Another foster home he was back with his social worker by the end of the first hour as he'd taken apart their freezer while trying to fix the buzzing noise it made. His favorite had been with an elderly couple. They were strict, but the woman had made amazing food, and the man had gotten him a model plane kit for them to build together. Slider almost could imagine them as eccentric grandparents until the woman stepped on his skateboard he'd left in the living room, falling and breaking her ankle in the process. He'd felt really bad about that one.

By the time he's 13, he's been through dozens of homes and had finally landed in a group home with other kids of various ages. There's enough of them that as long as he shows up every once and awhile and stays out of trouble with the law, they don't mind him and are too busy to care, which works for Slider.

Cyberweek Day 2: Seasons!

Four members of the cybersquad...four seasons...I was so inspired! I went with the season I thought each of them would like the best. I think Inez would like the dark academia autumn aesthetic haha.

The details were fun to think up for this one! My original thought was to have the four in actual windows with seasonal weather outside, then I thought "hmm... 'windows'..." hahaha. I also think @moecartoons's artwork with a similar windows concept was an inspiration because omggg I love that concept so much.

Excuse the bad lighting... I did this all in one go while I had the flu lol!
