This weeks Weigh in Results....
I put on 2lbs. Oh well! It's my own fault, I have been pretty awful this week and last night I went out for pizza and Alcohol- fueled shenanigans.. But I lost 5lbs last weeks so I'm not taking it too harshly... back to the grindstone for this week :)

How To Get Back on the Wagon...
I've decided that it's ok to fall of the wagon from time to time, the important thing is knowing how to get back on.
It's all a case of mental attitude.   If you think to yourself "Well, I've ruined this week with junk food, there's no way I can turn it round".... then you've doomed your weightloss efforts for A WHOLE WEEK, not just the day. However, if you think "Well I'm not going to let one bad flower spoil the bunch, I'll just forget about it and move on", then you've put the one day behind you, and you have six more to play with :)

A treat night is fine once in a while, right?
The boyfriend and I have decided to treat ourselves by demolishing a pizza and some Ben and jerry's.. Well it can't all be about dieting all the time!

.... The Weigh day results are in..... WTF.
....
....
- 5lbs.
How in the name of physics have I lost 5lbs???  On Slimming World, I've had a metric fuck ton of pasta, potato, rice, CHEESE, had meals like lasagne and chips, a full roast dinner and sausage and mash and STILL not breached the Slimming World diet plan...  I was so convinced that this diet couldn't work that I even started a blog about it... Well.... Don't I feel silly. So, In total: Week 1: -2lbs Week 2: -5lbs Total: - 7lbs. Half a stone in 2 weeks. Just... How???

A Weeks Evaluation: Weigh In is Tomorrow Morning...
Well, I've managed an entire week on Slimming world and I haven't died/ starved/ given up yet so I'm taking that as a profound success :) I am, however, truly skeptical about the results I'll see tomorrow because I've eaten more carbs and protein than I ever did pre- Slimming World. I'm counting any  loss as a victory and therefore as proof that the diet works, so I only need to register a single lb loss, and I shall retract my sketicism and eat low- fat humble pie accordingly.
Tumblr media
If Slimming World actually works and I lose weight this week, it's officially magic, because I can't figure out how else this thing can actually produce slimming success. Watch this space.

Cupcake Sabotage...
Dear Cake-Makers of Britain,
Please stop decorating your cupcakes so lavishly.  Please paint them dark brown/ green only and make them as unattractive as possible.
It is very inconsiderate of you to advertise your yumminess because we, the Fat Folk of Britain, find your cake so truly irresistible that a whole week of hard dieting is wasted almost instantly when we plant our faces directly on your frosting... ruining our efforts and your perfect decorations.
It will save us all a lot of time and effort if you would just stop it.  Stop it now. Thanks,
The Fat Folk.

Sneaky Peaking
What do we all think about weighing in before your weigh in day? I have to confess, I'm terrible for it.. I'm too impatient to wait until Mondays to find out how the week of slimming world is going and not weighing in us driving me nuts!! Argh!

Note
Just been skimming your blog and looks good - however, gotta make sure you use 5-15 syns a day! not using any or hardly any can negatively affect how SW works :) even using them on Smart Syns like avocado, nuts etc is better than using none xo
Good shout, I'm new to all this stuff! I've decided to save a few this week so I can have a glass of wine tomorrow night :)

Weigh in Worries...
How can this diet POSSIBLY work, really? I mean, I’m eating tons of carbs, loads of protein and a sizeable amount of fat and not going outside of my diet plan at all… that can’t be right, can it?? I guess the proof will come on Monday mornings weigh in when I see what damage a week on Slimming World has actually done… as you can probably tell: I’m skeptical.

A little lunchtime review...
I just posted my lunches from the last few days, each took less than 20 minutes to prepare and cook and they are all under 1 syn :) I always find lunches really difficult because I tend to run out of ideas and end up eating something MEGA unhealthy (whole pizzas have often performed lunchtime disappearing acts) but I have to admit, being able to have bread and cheese on slimming world EVERYDAY has really helped :) So far, slimming world is actually working out quite well, but I haven't yet faced a proper hunger challenge (like eating out or boyfriend chocolate sabotage) and I'm interested to see how my new healthy eating will hold up to these challenges... May the odds be ever in your favour!

The amount of cheese you can eat on slimming world is obscene... Cheese and bean toasties with 1 syn on tomato ketchup...
