Saturday Feb. 15 @ 10am SLT (Pacific) RFL Season Kick-Off @ the ACS regions - Kick off this season with a bang as the RFL leads introduce themselves, shoutout ALL registered teams in Second Life, and get us all hyped to reach our goals by Relay Weekend in June!

May 10, 2024 - Congratulations! We've hit Platinum Fundraising level a whole month ahead of schedule! That means you've helped us raise over $1,000 usd / $250,000 Lindens this season so far! Way to go, team! We've still got until June 8-9 for Relay Weekend, so keep up the good work! Let's see how much more we can do in the fight against cancer before our hooves touch that Relay track!

Please come on down to Ponies For Life Headquarters located at Fauna and tell us why you relay! Write your own personal message on a notecard in 480 characters or less and Ctrl+drag it from your inventory directly onto our mailbox to submit. It may take us some time to add it to the board because we will be moderating the submissions, so thank you in advance for your patience. And thank you very much for sharing your passion and commitment to Relay For Life!

2024 Second Life First Lap

Relay season 2024 is revving up and we've hit the ground running! Help us fight the fight against cancer with our family & friends, caregivers & survivors in Second Life! Please join us as we get ready for the season kickoff event on February 17th!

And now for a well overdue update at the end of this 2023 Relay Season!

Friends, we've had a record-breaking year for Relay for Life of Second Life overall, hitting that $5 million USD in total funds raised since RFL of SL began in 2005! Along with that, it has been a huge record-breaking season for Ponies For Life as a team, having earned (at the time of this post) over $1,160 USD in total via $Linden donations in Second Life and $USD donations on the ACS Dashboard outside of SL.

Thanks to every single dollar and cent, we surpassed our $1,000 2023 season fundraising goal, reaching Platinum Fundraising Club Level the day before Relay Weekend began on June 10th! And thanks to our team members and sponsors this season, we are confident in to keeping this momentum going through the off-season, through Kick-off 2024, and even beyond!

With that said, here are the official dates for next year's Relay:

• Registration - Jan. 15, 2024 • Kick-off - Feb. 17, 2024 • Relay Weekend - June 8-9, 2024

And next year's theme was also announced during this year's "Sink the Sims" after party and award ceremony:

Bring it on 2017!

Hey Ponies, firstly, I’d like to apologize for dropping the ball when the RFL 2016 fundraising season came to an end. I was away from SL when the season officially ended and was not able to record our team’s end of season totals before the Donation Kiosks auto deleted themselves in-world! And at that time, the RFLofSL website also reset their totals. >_<

From what I remember, I know for sure our team generated just above $L20,000... not anywhere near our goal of $L126,000, but it was our first year running and I am proud of all our members for the efforts you all put into getting the word out!

As soon as I have any news regarding the 2017 fundraising season, you’ll hear from me again! ♥

Why Do I Relay?

I Relay for my cousin Erin, taken from us by brain cancer waaay too soon, whom also "took an active role in Relay For Life." http://www.altoonamirror.com/page/content.detail/id/549805.html

I Relay for my Grandpa Reagan, who is missing a lung and a half(!!!) due to lung cancer but still trucking on like the military man he is!

I Relay for my old friend and boss, Jen, whom we lost to the return of breast cancer.

I Relay because it is what I CAN do to fight the fight against cancer.
