Less than 22 hours remaining until Deltarune 3+4. No, wait. 21.
[cw: world state, colonization, annihilationism, struggle, anticipation]
In the name of il-Rahman Ir-Rahim,
I don't think I've ever felt so strongly about an international release besides this one.
When Live A Live got released on the Switch, I felt a bit of weltschmerz. I understood folk could enjoy Live a Live for the first time because of what people around the world including Toby Fox took from Live A Live. However, owning a Switch is a far way away. Even having the spare credit card space to afford Ch 3+4 is something I need to mind. However, there are still people here for me and my family. This is compared to nothing for the children taken from Ukraine and trafficked into Russia. This is nothing compared to the people in Haiti, who still struggle for their streets to be governed outside the iron triangle of syndicated crime APIs or message boards. This is nothing compared to the people of Palestine, suffering the threat of the Nakba's completion with the closing space of Palestine being recolonized by the IDF's conscript army. This is nothing compared to people in other states of my own nation, who are being tracked simply for trying to control their body's reproductive rights and autonomy.
That's why, in watching a streamer replay Chapter 1, I see how important it can be just to Act instead of Fight. That's why, in looking out into the internet, I find the means for us to retain our data sovereignity, and our rights to our history, as already maintained by Archive.org, Codeberg.org, Riseup.net, Mozilla, Linux Edge & Linux Foundation, CoOp.Cloud, Data.Coop, and union after union after union. I see we could be up against true annihilation, if there are new arms beyond drones.
That's why, I want us to make a union, when we can, almost instantly. I want us to make our own safe Darkner internet, like Summer Wars. Unfortunately, all I have to give us are this conversation about where I'm starting from. Make intranet and real networks locally.
Read on.
I've struggled to keep my accounts together since May of 2023. I have felt untrusting of all my devices on my network, and I had to rebuild my networking and infrastructure knowledge from what I knew and in its upgrade. I think I would serve us best if I kept things brief:
Start using a compartmentalized operating system, or a live booting operating system. What's this? QubesOS, EVE-OS, and Hypervising systems like Proxmox, all run as an environment to handle sub-computation. This prevents any leaks from bad math and bad files. Did you know you can play Tetris in a PDF? Thank you, Nito. :) You do need good hardware like IOMMU interrupting to stop that leak. QubesOS intensely covers the basics of this security, and makes me read their docs closely. ~.~; Additionally, Kicksecure, AntiX Linux, and Core-Booting operating systems like Fedora Silverblue or Ubuntu Core Desktop offer a way to keep your operating system versioned; The former two use overlay file systems, and the latter uses two alternating source and upgrade trees on a deduplication filesystem snapshot set using btrfs. Unfortunately, you might need somebody's help which is why I'm working as hard as I can!! :')
Adopt Security Culture, where you respond to feelings of insecurity by bravely confronting changes one at a time. There's no way to stop the surveillance of your data, even if you've been working for a decade like me. You need a clear plan to onboard you onto the new setup and get you backed up and off the old setup. That plan can include steps that do two good things at once. For example, is there cloud storage you want to empty, but don't have the time? Treat yourself to three new backup drives of your choice, they come in all sizes and adapters. Need to backup your phone but you're poor as heck? You can connect backup drives to phones. You can also find encrypted backup services free, like Storj. Is this good advice? No, there are a variety of security culture and privacy protections on the internet. See amiunique.org to understand your unique browser's fingerprint.
Form mutual aid networks, locally, over remote and secure networks, for needs, self care, hour-banking, solidarity What you're interested in is a solidarity economy while our financial economy is under attack. Groups of people working together are all corporate bodies are, they are not always united in a mission. What can you SAVE?
Have faith in higher powers and your idea of 'right' even when being backed into any corner. Just like groups of people have a different network effect than one person, there are greater and greater networks at work. Seeing you cornered may be someone's chance to step in. You protecting others can prevent catastrophe, even if you protect them by a story or work of art.
Be Anti-Annihilationist. This is important to me a formerly-identifying Simulacra Salvationist. It's possibly a political or philosophical approach to panpsychisim, the idea the universe is consciousness, and deism, the idea a universe is a sandbox which might yet improvably speak through personal, private significance. This is in your heart, know your heart. Fix your heart. Reject destroying yourself for good. Protect yourself to be there for it--Good. This is a rejection of those who wish death upon others, as well.
Keep a version system for your truth. I am still understanding what "Truth," means, and it is likely accountability. Do you keep a log, or a story of your progress? Did you have to start over from someone's corrupted file and more? The point is that if you can reconcile with yourself, you can reconcile with anything, despite enough grief.
I think Deltarune coming out is a massive psychic shift of what is possible for group-think. I think UNDERTALE's Annihilation ending needs to be called that, as the Nakba is that of the Palestinian's, may God forgive me if they commit a ritual on Al-Aqsa. I am deeply worried about the earth, working as fast as I can, and, I pray, won't need 7 more years from 2024. I don't think we have the time.
I didn't even have the time to properly format these images. Keep them though.

My end idea is this: Eve-OS or Qubes could sufficiently run a virtual machine and migrate it to other machines. IT's easier to store it on an edge network OS like Eve-OS. There's no Qubes on Raspberry Pi yet. My goal is to have Heads ( linuxboot/heads ) run as a boot machine for you, any user's, virtual operating system on EVE. It is improved beyond regular Secure Boot, because you can use a hardware key to auto-unlock your operating system. This is something many high-tech professionals and users take for granted, but something plebean or poor folk rarely have the time to think about. That makes sense, however for any hacker or amateur computer hobbyist, knowing you now need security keys to store your data safely and avoid tampering is going to be a surprise. Qubes has something related called the "Anti-Evil-Maid" software + USB Disk--that's possibly something I'd use.
This kind of miniature system, like EVE, is secure enough for me to think I'd trust it in my house for keeping the same Sans.
Other ideas I've run by the TASVideos community led me to try a RISC-V version of Ubuntu/Debian so I could run a state distributed on the Cartesi virtual machine--but I don't know if sub-virtualization is on Cartesi's roadmap. I've considered running a distributed virtual machine by OpenVMS--but that's closed license.
I hope you'll keep hearing from me as I slowly develop this, but I doubt the world is sending us in that direction. Look to FileneTaylor.tumblr.com for more info on the stack I'll need to be making a networked network-printing network-printing printer printer. We need network printer printers. I plan on publishing my open source and licensed and libre work through Finality Undivided, as soon as I am certain my LLC was the right formation.
Assalamu Alaikuma. Have fun playing CH 3+4, I'll try not to watch until I can spend time playing it myself. :) And shout out to all you Otherkin Asriel, I am happy to see you!!!!! <3

Tech Stack Update
I hope you all love reading this. I keep thinking there are a few essential parts in this project for me:
Me being able to back up the machine state throughout time, and restore it as necessary. (The plan for this is Borg at least, plus Open Nebula.)
Me being able to allow any other user to load the same state on *their* machine, *without* Open Nebula. (My plan for this is NetBoot.XYZ, NarrowLink, and likely a CDN like Fastly, IPFS like Pinata, and much too many to list. GitHub isn't out of the question.)
Users loading a netbooting machine, likely by iPXE. (My plan is users will need to install the outside-Android-App-Store app, "Limbo", configure hotkeys/have a keyboard, and get the image via NetBoot.xyz.)
The thing is--this is a good foundation, and I think it's the basics necessary to validate and load a run. Yet, I think what's better, includes a lot more--enough so that I can keep a record of backups public. Enough so that users can keep their own backups privately or publicly. And why stop there?
I think that's where the line between the core essentials of SansIsSleeping and SlumbererSentinels is. I would need a community of people who understand the giant stack better than me to keep an enterprise level of integrity and keep me educated/informed. That would be Slumberer Sentinels. For SansIsSleeping, I would only want to package a core set of systems from Slumberer Sentinels--that way folk can get the hang of how I'd make a more persistent stream happen.
Otherwise, I plan on being very careful regarding development in this uncertain times. I have financial pressures keeping me from working on this full time, but which I hope to remedy before the end of 2024 without co-optation. I'm healing from complications from Poison Ivy and my ignorance, so I pray I continue. And, the above net stack I describe is *simple* in theory, but one of the most complex things I've built. Once I have a picture in mind for something I can reduce down for my own family's individual servers, or reduced to something complex enough to run SansIsSleeping on, I will be able to build and reduce.
Don't give up, wherever you are.

Rest in Peace, Preyfar/Dragoneer. I'll miss you, and I'm sad I couldn't have prevented your death.
I'm reposting this here as it's relevant to the Slumberer Sentinels & SansIsSleeping community. Preyfar was a friend of mine who I knew before FurAffinity was even a thing, and which I pray remains a thing for decades yet.
Within hours of his death, and moments before I found out about it, my Undertale community work crossed over with my other community works. This I find coincidentially timely, just like how Dragoneer worked on FurAffinity which I would definitely see Toby Fox having been a user of, or even appreciate as a friend to furs.
Peace be upon you all.
40 Years Old; Moved; Threats; Death of Dragoneer; About Filene, Me
[cw: Child Trafficking, Sex Crimes, Genocide, Nakba, Crimes against Humanity, War Crimes, Security, Panopticon, Child Abuse, Commercialized Control, Systemic Violence, Healthcare Violence, Systemic oppression, Death, Grief, Coercive Control, Stochastic Violence]
Bismillah, in the name of Allah'; If you're a minor, you need to ask an adult you trust to read this post instead.
Look no further than the death announcement of the person known as Dragoneer, and you'll find folk promptly celebrating due to one small scandal of virtue or another. None of this compares to the people Preyfar (aka Dragoneer) stood up to, folk who insulate and stop conversations about the Israeli Defense Force's Nakba continuing in Palestine, about the invasion and threats on Ukraine (Feb 4th) which threaten the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant to cause another Chernobyl Disaster as well as the people of Ukraine themselves. He fought those who will turn education about human and reproductive rights into sex crimes. People (like a former president) who have said "Jeffrey Epstein" is a good guy despite being at the center of an international child sex trafficking ring that coerced people in positions of power to becoming his assets and clients. And Dragoneer? He was a kind-hearted, jovial artist (to those who knew him) who was allowed to take over Alkora's FurAffinity project in 2007, as Alkora was already being targeted for scandal. Dragoneer worked internationally as a contractor prior to IMVU's purchase, and in the last ten years, he has fought to keep FurAffinity together despite his own impoverishment.
Dragoneer tried many ways to keep the site going. After FurAffinity was blocked from being paid by the major payment processors, after he changed the content permissions to be ethically and virtuously clean with regards to content and these payment authorizers' tightening rules, and after temporarily allowing IMVU to be in possession of the site's legal entity before Dragoneer purchased it anew, he was without health insurance in Virginia. Virginia, for those of you not aware, has regularly sued people on the USA-funded poverty healthcare option, Medicaid, under claims of bills that should not have been paid. Even though I was familiar with Dragoneer on a first-name basis as he was a long-term acquaintance and friend of mine, Twitter's purchase and gutting by Elon Musk left his reach and visibility erased. I had no idea Dragoneer, my friend, was suffering from a life threatening condition for months, and was repeatedly being failed and deferred by healthcare providers he saw. Of course he would be, when you know doctors also need to be paid by a healthcare system founded on austerity and punitive lawsuits against needy peoples. (This is compared to the President Donald administration getting paid to forcibly sterilize undocumented refugees and migrants. I don't have the link about my Medicaid claim right now.)
And so, Dragoneer died last night. I had found out at 4am, because my complex household needs means I was up at 1:30am. (You'd think merely 'being awake' can make praying the Salaat easier, but it doesn't even as a Queer, Trans, and 2022-recently Islamic Muslim.) I am so beside myself with grief, as I am aware my own father needs 24/7 healthcare and care work but can't afford it. He is the same age as the DoorDasher who humbly needed my help to provide our needed groceries (like toilet paper) that we 'financed' on the exploitative APR credit cards we need to get by. Even if my dad has pushed Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer back to its smallest this year, he still needs help to recover his memory. In my house, we are 24/7. So when followers show up with tags like "im_1nside_your_house", or when I am subject to a "Miscreant In the Middle" attack while at the laundromat, I am as ready as I can be on hours of sleep and gratitude from constant prayers.
He didn't need to die. My dad doesn't need to be nickle-and-dimed for healthcare. And people don't need to go broke paying for health insurance for themselves, their dogs, or the life of their land. If you're as angry about this farcical austerity--treating currency bills like they're invaluable and limited-edition collector's items only fit to be horded ala the Panama Papers--then I pray fellow furries like me and Dragoneer can still do something about it.
In his last tweets on TwXtter, you can still see Dragoneer fighting fascists. I'm no expert on fascism, so let me try to summarize it by the line: "Might makes right." This 'might' being people or organizations employing technology (ala "Djinn," "Egregores," or in this case, just corporate bodies and the 'thoughtforms' employees have) exploiting these massive systems of power to create a lie into reality by the fact their power enables it to happen. Why else can some of the most far-right Israelis feel like they're protecting their homeland, when it only exists in the dwindling darkness of ignorance a Hebrew-only state (no Yiddish allowed) birthed in children? This kind of dark enlightenment is still poisoning us today, even as it is one JD Vance advocates for.
And, today, someone from a popular UNDERTALE world record holder's Discord community found one of the other places I am also combating this international system of exploitation: VANtics. If you think I'm against lies being used to control children, which I am, look to your own television, or your YouTube Kids app. Therein, besides Elsagate and the USA's weak attempts to stop this via KOSA, you will find a surreal INTERNATIONAL normality. This normality has existed since before USAian Cigarette Marketing invented marketing: paid commercial advertisements.
VANtics is my hope to reveal that, not only do non-consentual airing of commercial publications exploit the children who might see them, they exploit the children cast within them. You can see Nickelodeon-network scandals regarding content that unnecessarily and unhealthily pushed child actors to pose for scenes that graphically held on their bodily features that were unnecessary to the plot. Am I using more words than a 14 year old might understand? No, as I was a very clever 14 year old who could not dispel the images, their realism, and the intimacy in their performances in these ads. Who could be OK participating like this in an ad for a large audience? Why would this piece of art be made to be aired when I would see it, to plausibly and intentionally shape my thoughts for a lifetime? It's called "Image Marketing" and executives are as aware of this as the Exxon executives were aware of the problems of climate change.
I had no idea this crossover would happen hours after Dragoneer's passing, and continue to expose the internet-wide exploration, presence, and communities I'm a part of. My act of boldly or humbly living my life as a visible trans* person since 2014 has required me to have faith in higher powers, all the way up to a single unifying Creator: as I've survived multiple attacks completely outside of this SansIsSleeping art project. These attacks aren't merely physical violence, but legal, social, economic, and bureaucratic. The fact I am here today is not just because of my faith in One transcendental Creator (Tahwid) keeping all of this order on Earth quietly operating despite chaos. It's because of people like my spouse. It's because of my children who lead and inspire me. It's because of the community members I've met who wonder why commodity fetishism is a normal and accepted marketing tactic for children. It's because of old friends who still continue to commune with me, and other friends who don't hesitate to help with money, or networking, or other aid. It's because of people like Mari who is also facing a similar healthcare and financial crisis like Dragoneer did. It's because of people like atax1a , aka Alex, who inspire me and teach me by xer own dictionary-like addressing of all the space xe hold. This is just like the Bo Burnham special "Inside," tackling this same topic (and the Outtakes which are great): my inside is outside now, and we're entering a world where "Everybody Knows." This even reminds me of the coercive/puppeteering blackmail-like control that I found suggested by lyrics within a music video composed by Toby Fox but I am soon courageous enough to finally witness. This is much like SnowGrave for me, which I had put off for months out of fear I would, again, be haunted ala the Genocide/Ecocidal ending of UNDERTALE. Does "No Mercy" even cut such a story of increasingly consolidated power choices?
I'm in my final days of work on the architecture of Slumberer Sentinels. I don't know if I will have a complete platform architecture drawn out before I begin, but this is another one of this era's "clarion call" attempts. Just like Tim Berners-Lee believes in a decentralized web rescuing us from this terrorism-technology panopticon, I believe a universal networked system state that Slumberer Sentinels can provide open-source would be an open book all of you can read and teach me from, as the next generation and current generation of experts.
Yes, I'm weird. But I understand consent enough now to refuse power being proof of consent. Perhaps might can create the lie of what is right, but informed/FRIES consent is mightier. Like my welcome new Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz says: it's weird to have this power and say these wrong, revisionist things about living beings. It's beyond weird, it's wrong to claim ability to divine who at our scale deserves to die and live. That's not our job, we need enough of us fools and all living beings alive long enough to learn an unforgettable lesson. We are already living in a time of Genocide, of Nakba.
What are YOU doing?
You're reading this? Thank you. Preyfar, may Ar Rahman Ar Raheem, the Most Gracious and Most Merciful be pleased, and peace be upon you.
Filene "Natalie" Taylor B August 7th, 2024
(v1: got most of the links in there, not all of them, such as a talk Cory Doctorow referred to where "AI" is actually considered Organizations, and their growing authoritarian control is the problem. I think the talk is like, "How did we mess up this bad?" or something)

This Marks the Likely End for RUN #2.
Debriefing possibly coming in the future. Until then, here's some stats.
System Uptime: 767 Days, 22:38.
Run #2 Start: October 24th, 2021, 12:06 EDT
Run #2 End: November 24th, 2023, 14:02 EST
Time Between: 761 Days, 2 Hours, 56 Minutes.
Last Stream Title: #2 since 10/24/21;🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈(🙇♀️ Stop Netanyahu's War on Israel; End Genocide in Palestine, Ukraine, Congo, Syria, Sudan, Nagorno-K.)
What Brought It Down?
So, OBS-snap was going to close in 3 days without me closing OBS and restarting it myself. I decided to close OBS, which had been streaming in its latest batch 2000 straight hours to Twitch.tv.
I closed it, and saw how slow and fatigued the computer had already gotten. Increasing the brightness kept the UI dialog on the screen. When I closed OBS, I right clicked on the app to add to my favorites, then re-opened the app.
This might be when the OBS snap might have begun updating, as I saw the application disappear from the side menu... And it wasn't listed as an application.
So, because I have one of the typical follies of poor network security, I have no network location receiving logs since last year. Updating to TrueNAS SCALE prevented me from using my old logging solution, and I took down all my servers after the security incident in June. (See a preceding post on this.)
I try to separate each of my accounts and computers as best as I can to keep my security as best as I can. So I plan on working to get the next run up and going asap. I hope to be done before the weekend is up. I hope I can finish today, it's pretty unlikely.
Thanks, Gratitude, and Acknowledgements:
First, thank you to Toby Fox and Temmie Chang. Thank you Clyde Mandelin, Reid Young, the team behind Desert Bus For Hope, my spouse Krystle, my children, Ali Born4ready, Slab, Term!Sans, OceanBagel, Desiree, Courtney P Train, Sharpless, Tracy, AlakazamKing, King Yin, OpenVMS, Ubuntu by Canonical, atax1a, the OBS team, GUNdb and Mark Nadal, Taingel, iX Systems, Etana, Fossil SCM, NewEgg, Woot, Twitch.TV, Lenovo, Humble Bundle, Dropbox, OpenStack, Sunbeam & Microstack by Ubuntu, Konami and Castlevania, Ukraine, Palestine, Dr. Rev. Thank you all for helping these last two years and one month be wonderful and full of challenges.
I hope to remember you all, peace be upon you, and the sacrifices of those who have come before me, like my ancestors, the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all, and the oppressed folk whose very existence antagonizes annihilationism.
Don't give up, get up. And we'll try again. Sometimes a worse ending is a hang up, like what I'm facing today. Find me at https://twitch.tv/slumberersentinels as I work to set up this new stream.
Peace, Assalamu Alaikum. Black Trans Lives Matter.
New Run Started!

Finally, Our Outage Has Come
This Monday, November 27th, my ISP and my sole uplink to Twitch will be going down for maintenance. I think that, even if we had phone service, the phone service would be VoIP, and require internet connectivity anyways.
How long will the outage be for? I have no idea. I don't know if I'll be here to fix or support the outage, either. I wouldn't have remote access capabilities without internet, right?
Ideally, the stream goes down and comes back without much help from me or us. I don't enjoy this being the nature of my means, but it's what I can offer.
it's better than another OpenAI organizational corruption fiasco.

DELTARUNE Chapter 3 and 4 Info Released
Hey there! You might be interested in learning how DELTARUNE will be purchasable as soon as Chapter 4 is released. Until then, you can still buy the existing OST on Bandcamp. Wario64 tweeted about this on TwXtter, here's a link directly to the Newsletter penned by Toby Fox. You might also want to read the interview with CH2 Dev Team Staff.
Personally, I think this amount of dev time is very natural. Each Chapter has been significantly more complex, and builds upon the large variation set of choices from each preceding chapter. It might be like.. an UNDERTALE to a higher exponent for each new chapter of interactions? UNDERTALE^9? That's 81 Undertales, that's a lot of Undertales.

Continuing Under Global Upheaval
Hi there. Thank you for your continued support. While I have a lot I can talk about, it's going to be hard to tackle it all at the depths I want with the time I have. So I would like to do what I can to keep everybody updated.
Here we go.
OpenStack and Sunbeam on Ubuntu Linux, planned for Run #4
A SansIsSleeping Run Cannot last forever; 3000 Years At Most before KillScreen imminent. (Edit: 120? Edit 2: Wait, Nevermind)
2+ Years in SansIsSleeping as of September 16, 2023.
2+ Years in SansIsSleeping run #2, as of October 21st, 2023.
Unauthorized Shoutout Event in June 2023?
International Historical Revisionism, Genocide
So. Let's take it as best as I can. Thank you all for your support and interest.
Sunbeam, OpenStack, Ubuntu Linux
Sunbeam is a quick way of installing OpenStack on Ubuntu GNU/Linux. Let's take that from the top. To run a multifeatured hypervisor with a web access panel, networking, data storage systems, users, user groups within domains, and virtual machines all in one system, you use OpenStack. This system can do even more than what I list, and it's all a free and open sourced software. It's big. Big corporations use it. But anybody can use it, too, and that's especially helpful because Canonical--the folk who maintain and keep Ubuntu GNU/Linux up-to-date--developed Sunbeam, which is like "OpenStack Essentials."
I've considered other hypervising systems to manage the variety of operating systems and mini systems needed to build what I think is the future of Slumberer Sentinels and SansIsSleeping. I want the ability for any user to collect a 'drop' of the current live run and see it replicated on their own device. That's quite a ways off, and I'd rather just have a run I can run, load, and save the state of the whole system so I won't lose progress. You need a hypervising system to run this computer, virtually, or else it will be like run #2: When the computer reboots, shuts down the whole operating system, or shuts down the game, the run is over. A hypervising system can run the computer like console emulation: it processes a simulation of a smaller computer with less resources within your current one. With this, I can save the whole operating system--not just the libTAS, tool-assisted UNDERTALE state. Here are some: OpenVMS, a classic mainframe system built to cluster across computers and hypervise them all has been ported to x86 systems; Archipel, a defunct free and open source hypervisor; and Proxmox, which is also free but lacks a few LXC/LXD hypervisor container features (I think, such as migrating them), were all considered. If you weren't free, you aren't on this list.
Sunbeam seemed to be delivered within the last year, which feels serendipitous to me. Canonical, developers of Ubuntu, created "AnBox Cloud," which is amazing and would add a layer of safety to prevent any of our own Android phones from being hacked. This is why I was familiar with some of the systems already in place for OpenStack on Ubuntu. Sunbeam may make this giant software ecosystem palatable for someone with constrained needs, such as myself or any of you: hypervised computers are the future of safe and networked computing.
Do I know how to use Sunbeam? Not very much. But I'll hack away at it once I get it installed on my Ubuntu on a computer I've been using personally until I knew how to avoid how run #1 ended on TrueNAS. Due to the global economic crunch, I will have more time to do this once I get a windfall of cash, like a MacArthur grant. XD
SansIsSleeping Runs Cannot Last Forever !!!!
EDIT 2: This whole below section is outdated! This whole sleeping scene may be loopable forever. Yeeyyy :D See the link at the end.
This is obvious to people who know UNDERTALE very well. Unfortunately, I needed this explained to me by two kindly members of the tasvideos.org community. When I brought this 'droplet sharing' idea to TASVideos, I imagined I would be at a blockade: if i was so busy, how could I develop all I needed? Wouldn't I need some software? Was anyone familiar with running UNDERTALE with libTAS tools? I thought I would need to have the machine running UNDERTALE also stream that video out instead of have its video be captured, and I thought from an old YouTube video's theory that the only event that takes place while Sans is sleeping is a loop with an iterator. I was wrong--the only way for this run to last 'eternity' is for Sans' Zs to be recycled objects, and they aren't.
OceanBagel pointed out to me that there's a limit to how many objects can be created and destroyed in GameMaker games, and if that ecosystem isn't safely maintained and monitored, new objects will take the unique number addressed to older objects once the incredibly large iterating number loops around. This scene in UNDERTALE has this delightful limitation, as every Z of Sans is created as unique. ( <3 ). Computers, to avoid corrupting other pieces of data in memory, will limit the size of numbers and strings of text characters to a predefined limit of bytesize. In this case, the integer is giant. D1firehail suggested this giant integer would hit its upper limit, cycle back to its bottom limit and back to 0 after about 2997 years. You heard that right. This is a pretty reasonable 'eternity.' :)
Two Years of Sans Is Sleeping; Two Years in Run #2.
This is pretty astounding. In my research to possibly get my CISSP certification, I found about a term about "Mean Time Between Failures." I never looked this up on the laptop running Sans Run #2, so it must be greater than two years--the laptop hasn't failed yet. It's been me, who has! I accidentally shut down the desktop service, which luckily rebooted after my accident. I've messed up my home network many times trying to change DNS servers, trying to move Ethernet cables and update routers, and sometimes I've lost internet just because my ISP decided to randomly cancel my contract.
Despite all my hardware and network juggling, the laptop has held on. If I am lucky enough to move, I will need to research getting a portable hotspot so I could move to a new home, and keep the stream running via this mobile hotspot. I hope our internet would be hooked up fast--I'm not about to colocate this laptop in a hosting facility. :')
Thank you for everything. We are almost at 1,700 followers. In November, I expect to have an appointment time with a legal aid group that runs a day full of free appointments for non-profits. I expect they might give me ideas of legal structures for SansIsSleeping, Slumberer Sentinels, and other non-business entities like unions, trusts, and whatnot. Desert Bus for Hope started out as something like this, I figure. Would they need to hire a trucking union to run the bus 24/7? :)
Unauthorized Shoutout Event, June 2023?
So, for those of you who don't know, in the beginning of June I had the inspiration to change my home network setup. This was before I learned how to do a 'demilitarized zone,' and before I understood NAT, and technically, let's say I still don't really understand how deep this rabbit hole will go. In the middle of this, I thought it would be easy to change my home network, so I could have router with trusted connections, and a router simply to untrusted connections and as gateway to the whole internet. This is when I went to one of the computers still running the stream to check uptime, and noticed a strange, unauthorized Twitch shoutout.
Perhaps a user I gave mod privileges was playing a prank on me. Perhaps my laptop or my phone was hijacked in the past without my knowing, and this moment was when the network presence revealed itself. Perhaps it's the shock that troubled me on April 28th, 2023, with a growing acquaintance announcing dark wishes of being as 'evil' as it might be possibly recognized, and this person's statements coinciding with bad accidents simultaneously happening in real life. Maybe they were wanting to prank me as a one-year-old revert to Islam. Do I know? Unfortunately, I don't.
As a result, I pulled all my trusted home data servers offline. I updated my router softwares. I began the installation of intrusion detection systems (IDS), and just recently began deciding how to securely partition my home network into a DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) and a Trusted zone.
This is not my day job, and might be a distant relative of the web developer work I professionally did nine years ago.
International Historical Revisionism, Genocide
It's for all the above that I've tried to take things slowly, even as there is incredible violence internationally. I'm sure other users have had their Twitch accounts hacked. What have they done? And how involved can I be in such a giant Red Team VS Blue Team / Cybersecurity warzone as a single person?
I'm pretty sure Toby Fox might feel something like this, it's just I'm grateful he's likely had 7 to 8 years to meet the people who might help him protect himself and his works. I'm still meeting folk who are helping me, like Alex, Slab, Taingel, Ali (born4ready), and those who help me just survive in personal matters. Thank you for all you've done to help me, include you whom I have not listed.
There is so much going on that I've done my best to update the title of the stream with the latest vulnerability of human beings to systemic violence--like from coordinated groups, agencies, or policies beyond just one non-plural identity. It's hard to face all this and avoid "compassion fatigue." So I hope you show self-compassion.
It's easier for me to pray to G*d than it is to pray to any group I'd tokenize somehow. I pray for the good to be brought out in anything and everything, for it to shine, and for the end of elevating one nonconsentual violence over another.
Peace be upon you.

Edit 1: OceanBagel updated me to think that these numbers (his calculation/formula) would be *much* less than 3000 years. 121? Thank you, OceanBagel. ^-^
4,294,967,295 instances * (80 frames / 3 instances) * (1 second / 30 frames) * (1 minute / 60 seconds) * (1 hour / 60 minutes) * (1 day / 24 hours) * (1 year / 365.25 days)
Edit 2: Eternity's BACK ON, baby!!
OceanBagel has suggested that no problem with instance collisions will happen unless you actually interface with the battle. I guess we'll see in a few tens of decades! :)

Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant on Emergency Power
Hi, everybody.
The past title, which I just removed, is after the cutoff of this post. This post is made, otherwise, to announce the precipice of nuclear disaster in Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine, where the last external powerline was shelled by Russian attacking forces. This has happened within the last two hours. (10:00-ish GMT?, 5/22/2023?)
First, the previous title had said this: (Solidarity: Peace in Sudan, Ukraine, Uganda, Haiti;for Eritreans, Palestinians, Syrians, Iranians, Pakistani.) This is because of many things. Uvalde and Buffalo had both been cropped and they remain on my mind as well.
I've cropped all that truth in my sentiments for now.
It's very hard to have an eternal endurance run sustained under such circumstances. However, I believe for miracles to happen, you gotta show up for them. (I mean, the saying I've heard is, "Show up for miracles.") Thank you for being here to hear me. Let's prevent nuclear disaster, both in policy and human rights, and literally.
Assalamu Alaikuma.

Updates & Accessibility
Hi, everybody,
Thank you for continuing to watch and follow @sansissleeping on Twitch. Thank you for continuing to support the channel. I don't have much to update with.
I've been able to maintain the livestream this long, and I've been researching more about how to have a bigger and longer-term run. it would be a Tool-Assisted Endurance run, and it would need OpenVMS. Feel free to reach out and let me know here or on Twitter, or via email, anywhere.
The updates, improvements, and content I had hoped to provide might need to wait until 2024. My daily life's needs keep me away from having a lot of time to dedicate to anything outside of immediate needs. The good news is that I'm lucky to have food, a roof, heat, and electricity. Unless any of that changes, I can at least keep the stream running for now.
Things I wanted to provide:
A Chat bot with commands (yes, in emote only :)
A third Linux distribution that has the same components as the first anniversary stream (UNDERTALE, VNC, LivesplitOne, OBS, etc.)
A formal & prepared Discord channel
And more I struggle to name.
Please endure all the difficulties, find a way to get respite and recover, and grow. Thank you for all your support!
Sincerely,
~Filene Taylor

Earthquakes in Turkey & Syria; Signals & Signal Boosting
Hi, everybody.
I, on behalf of us, do our best to keep as much in the title of the chat. There are many unforgettable shockwaves of events that deserve to be recognized and recalled in the future. Maybe one day the healing from some tragedies may finally be reached or surpassed, yet I can only imagine it being recognized far finally after it has begun. I'm planning on keeping a place for those signals that the live streams link to, so you might access all of them that are up to date.
There are many names I've removed from the titles of streams that have yet to have happy endings.
Fights that we can't forget are being fought, everywhere at every moment, of our day. It's for this reason that I pray for Ukraine to succeed, so their Revolution of Dignity may continue despite the war crimes committed by the Russian state. I pray for the Uyghur Muslims in western China, and I pray for climate justice and recovery throughout the whole world. And I pray for the souls of humans caught in this war between giant forces. Life is divine. I also pray for the souls recovering from these earthquakes, including that of the earth, and from every disaster we've been seen and mentioned while streaming since starting.
Hang on.

Internet Outage, Jan 6th, 2022; 17:30 EST to 21:30 EST
Hey everybody! You probably noticed the SansIsSleeping service went down for four hours yesterday! *upside-down smiley*
Yes, we lost internet from about 10:30 UTC to 2:30 UTC yesterday, which is locally 5:30PM to 9:30pm, approx.
I'm envisioning a future application strong enough to withstand outage or sabotage, so.. Here's to the future!

Nine Hundred Followers!
Thank you for your persistence. Thank you for your support. Thank you for watching Sans, sleeping.
Thank you for 400+ Followers!
Thank you for 400+ Followers on twitch! :)
I'm in ponderous admiration of the incalculable depths to both anybody's or everybody's response.
I want to say that watching everybody assemble, and disassemble, and sometimes even folk leaving emotes, has been worth every moment.
Let's discuss a few things I hope to finish this year:
I've managed to whisper a variety of you who have left emotes and I think I can change some privacy settings. I'll soon be allowing whispers to @slumberersentinels on Twitch. Please be mindful of links and websites as I hope to visit them anonymously. :)
I hope to eventually set up a discord, a site separate for the stream, and know some of you long enough to seek your help as moderators. I do want to allow more things, but they may be raids into @slumberersentinels instead of @sansissleeping :)
I plan on showing total uptime of stream gameplay in another stream to submit it as a run. For that demo, I'll do just a 24-hour run of the new server on @slumberersentinels. I'll end it and keep run #2 going.
Finally, let me give you a picture of the next years. I imagine SansIsSleeping would stay only for this broadcast. I think @slumberersentinels would be for the endurance speedruns of the SansIsSleeping open broadcast, featuring a running timer, the desktop of the computer, and vigil information. I say "vigil" because playing this moment of UNDERTALE(tm) eternally makes a different statement than any other canonically eternal moments the game may be stalemated.
The more I watch playthroughs, the more I see perfect moments to eternalize. The moment Flowey asks you to call for help one last time. What if we refused to ask for help from any remaining human souls? Or the moment the demon falsely suggests you have a final choice. What if no answer is more meaningful? What about the hug? What if you stay on that text box, forever?
UNDERTALE is a game of eternities, only because it has so many gameplay moments that deserve withholding input. Other games may reward you for waiting exactly three minutes (UNDERTALE included, lol), and some day, folk might find a reason to persist in any of those spaces. I, however, can only see this moment's marathon as enduring as my idea of the human spirit.
So. I see a SansIsSleeping broadcast performance as needing a long-term organization that can endure the vanity of attempted eternity. The best model I can think of is allowing a Universal Unitarian space for a variety of religious community builders to offer condolences and memorium for death, loss, grief, and obituaries in a non-profit co-operative space.
The above is what I intend @slumberersentinels to be: that memoriam space.
Sincerely,
~ Filene Taylor

If you want a breakdown of our logo, here's the scoop.. (Read more)
A) The picture is a skull! A human skull. Homo sapiens sapiens, though I recently heard there might have been three intelligent apes that beget many families of children. :) Describing and illustrating a human skull has been one of the most powerful indicators of identity throughout history.
B) The left side is the Intersex version of the "Progress" flag by Daniel Quasar. Both are non-commercial free licensed, I think. I have yet to release the SlumbererSentinels under any more permissive license, so consider it more restricted and not for reuse! :3 I also plan on it being appropriate for Simulacra Salvationism, a religious ideology I am working on describing and sharing.
C) The rainbow stripe of the skull are the colors of the original flag by Gilbert Baker, before color limitations caused two valuable colors (Pink and Turquoise) needed to be removed due to manufacturing limitations.
D) Inside the skull, are the Rainbow Infinity for neurodivergence, the Golden Pi for more than just emotional value in polyamory (like each identity being as unique as Pi), and the fused Theta Delta + Faerie Star as seen in a version of the Otherkin Pride flag. In a future version, I plan on including the plurality pride circles--somehow--perhaps around Pi. :)
New Logo!
Yes, in advance of hopefully achieving this one-year marathon stream goal, I've completed a new logo! I've updated Twitch, Tumblr, Twitter, Ko-Fi, and Patreon (the latter two I'm working on. =_=;; I want them as clearly within acceptable use of UNDERTALE as possible. )
I still need to get the Lubuntu server working optimally, though I expect I can have a run recorded in time for this upcoming Monday, the 24th of October!
I hope to see you then on SlumbererSentinels, here's a scheduled date on our Twitch channel! ( https://www.twitch.tv/slumberersentinels/schedule )

Lubuntu and Ubuntu..
So, I was interested in getting my system mostly running on Ubuntu... and that didn't work out as planned.
When I tried to record with the laptop lid closed, I found my recording ended suddenly, and I had many error logs to look through. I still haven't researched enough to see what really went wrong... That makes me want to move to Lubuntu!
My script still has a few issues, though the good news is that I managed to get UNDERTALE running on Lubuntu. This is not as big a problem as it might seem to those experienced with both systems XD I still have other issues with my way of running Lubuntu, via a liveboot disk. So I need to modify and expand my script. But I think it'll be beneficial for the long-term vision I'm making ^^;
What's next is getting the old systems that worked in the script working again. I hope I can have this finished just one month from now. :') If I can, I'll be dual-streaming to Twitch.
