Sorry for the delay – but here's the recap for 2023 25 Days of Draco and Harry.

I wasn't able to read everything this year and I'm sorry. One day work will cut me a break and I'll be able to do what I want. Lol! We want to thank every single one of you for another great holiday season filled with Draco and Harry love. The word count of just the completed fics was over 386k!! You all rock!! 25 Days of Draco and Harry – Bonus Prompt

You didn't think we would forget, did you?

Here's your bonus prompt in the 16th Annual 25 Days of Draco and Harry Challenge, rounding out the year for 2023.

This prompt is for everyone, and completely optional whether you choose to use it or not. It's something fun that we've done a few times now to extend the festive fun and encourage everyone's creativity.

Here is the Bonus Prompt.

Bonus Prompt—Observation Wheel on a River Bank

A large observation wheel stands proudly on a river bank, the height of its top arc towering over the buildings behind it. The wheel is lit with a colour gradient around its circumference, beginning with reds at the bottom, continuing clockwise through the spectrum with orange, yellow and green up the left side, blues on top, and purples and pinks down the right side. Some buildings behind the wheel are also illuminated with bright colours, the reflection of which can be seen in the river's water. The gradient on the buildings runs from blue to the left of the wheel, through to pinks and purples on the right-hand side of the image. The sky behind the wheel is dark and cloudy, indicating an overcast night.

Day Twenty Five—Roast Meat on a Serving Plate A partially carved joint of meat sits on a serving platter. The platter is garnished with sprigs of greenery and berries and slices of orange. The wooden table beneath is decorated with a white embroidered runner, and in th ebackground you can see a plate of roast potatoes, a wine glass, a pepper mill and more festive greenery.

Day Twenty Four—Holly Branch with Berries A close-up of a holly branch is shown, the leaves are green with lighter edging and are lightly covered in frost. There is a cluster of bright red berries in the centre of the branch. Some very small icicles are attached to a few of the bettires. The background of the image is blurred, and appears to be more foliage.

Day Twenty Three—Cupcakes and a Mug of Hot Chocolate A red mug of hot chocolate can be seen, topped with white miniature marshmallows. The white cursive text on the mug reads 'Eat, Drink and be Merry'. There are four cupcakes surrounding the mug, each with white frosting and red and green sprinkles. An assortment of festive decorations are placed around the cupcakes and mug, including small red and gold baubles, red ribbon, small wooden stars on brown string, fairy lights, miniature Christmas trees, and some ceramic houses.

Day Twenty Two—Street in a Snow Storm A shopping street is shown in a pedestrian precinct. The street is deserted with the exception of a lone shopper. It is snowing heavily, and snowflakes can be seen swirling through the air. Tall buildings with snow-covered awnings line each side of the street. High up, festive decorations have been strung between the buildings, and these are also snow-covered. A couple of small lights illuminate a notice board at the side of the street, near the shopper.

Day Twenty One—Snowflake Pattern Etched on Glass Large white ice patterns have formed on a pane of glass. Several large and floral-like patterns with feathery offshoots span the glass. It is dark behind the glass, suggesting that the scene on the other side may be exterior at night time.

Day Twenty—Old-School Camera and Christmas Lights An old-school camera is sitting on a plain shelf, and is draped with a string of multi-coloured Christmas lights. The lights cast a warm glow on the scene, the dominant colours being pink and yellow. The multiple sources of light cast interesting and dancing shadows on the plain wall. The camera features a large circular lens in the centre front, black panels to the side, and silver trims.

Day Nineteen—Small Christmas Tree in a Wooden Crate A small Christmas tree is nestled snugly in a wooden crate, along with a small pot of festive greenery, a small lantern, and a wooden deer statue. Some fairy lights are attached to the tree, along with a variety of buff coloured paper tags that have 'Let It Snow', 'Love' and 'Peace' in black lettering. The deer statue is positioned to the front left of the crate and is wearing a plaid scarf. The lantern is positioned to the back left, and is made of brown metal and glass, and bears resemblance to older-styled street lighting.

Day Eighteen—Circular Reading Nook A large and cosy day bed is situated in front of a circular window with ornate panes. The cushion of the day bed is a rich blue colour and has a dimpled texture. A group of small scatter cushions in earth tones are also present. A well stocked shelf of books is built in to the left-hand side of the nook, and a single sconce light is visible. The surrounds of the nook are a warm wood tone, and general greenery is visible through the window.

Here is the seventeenth prompt.

Day Seventeen—Christmas Tree Design made from Spices A Christmas tree design fashioned from a variety of spices, nuts and drief fruit, is laid out on a grey concrete surface. A row of six pine-cones forms the bottom most layer. Above are four lengths of hawthorn berries, and then five shelled nutmeg. Two cinnamon quills are next, and then four whole walnts. Three green foil leaf decorations, and a single slice of dried orange form the last tiers of tree branches and a golden star sits above the orange slice, completing the design.

Day Sixteen—Flaming Pudding A large and richly coloured pudding is sitting on a metal platter that it set on a well laid dining table. The pudding is engulfed in a layer of light blue flames which also rise up above its top. Behind it, several glasses of varying height and shape are positioned behind the pudding. To their left stands a group of lighted candles inside small glass holders, and to their right, a large tower of citrus fruit. The setting is primarily lit with warm light from the candles and an unknown overhead source.

Day Fifteen—Sleigh full of Presents A bright red sleigh is brimming with gifts that are beautifully wrapped with gold paper and red ribbons. The presents are inside an opened sack made of red cloth, and two large gold tassels can be seen hanging down from the drawstring cord. Two large Christmas trees are positioned behind the sleigh, and are decorated with pine cones, red berries, and fairy lights.

Day Fourteen—Ogden's Olde Fire Whiskey A bottle of alcohol, specifically "Ogden's Olde Fire Whiskey" is pictured, along with a wand. The yellowed paper label on the bottle describes the whiskey as 'barrel-aged in dragonfire toasted Sessile oak' and states it is 'imbued with powerful magic'. The bottle is partially drunk and stands on a shelf against a grey painted wall. The wand appears to be made of rough holly, with a dark brown handle.

Day Thirteen—Festive Table Setting A skinny black table, stationed in front of a white wall, is adorned with a variety of festive ornaments. The wall has moulded panelling creating a variety of textural shadows. A festive garland is suspended above the table, including some greenery, red berries, fairy lights, and baubles and snowflake ornaments suspended from ribbon and string. The table top contains a white reindeer figurine, two metal Christmas tree statues, a variety of lit candles, and a decanter partially filled with red wine. Two glasses of wine have been poured, and are on a small tray with other empty glasses and some loose red baubles.

Day Twelve—Hoar Frost on a Hawthorn Tree An abundance of red hawthorn berries are shown on thin branches of a tree. Brilliant white and feathery hoar frost is covering most of these branches and creates a stark contrast against the tree's dark colour. More frost is present on the thickets of other shrubs and tress visible in the background. A small amount of brown earth can be seen at the bottom of the frame in the background.

Day Eleven—Christmas Tree and Ornamental Reindeer Wall Hanging A plush stuffed (fake) reindeer head is mounted on a pale green wall, alongside some colourful paper stars. The deer has a red ribbon around its neck and gold and green baubles attached to its antlers. Its fur is dark brown and grey, with a white stripe from its chin to its neck. Part of a large Christmas tree is visible in the foreground of the image, its branches decorated with a variety of thin yellow candles and coloured baubles. Some gifts are visible through the branches behind the tree, wrapped in red paper with white ribbon.
