Chess Club

Age: 5 years and up Prerequisites: None

Objective

Campers would be taught by professional USCF chess coaches and tournament directors. The camp is for a beginner as well as advanced skill levels. Kids get an opportunity to learn and better their games. Campers are divided into groups by the coach depending on the skill level of the players.

The kids learn how specific pieces moves, strategies, checkmate, stalemate, pins and to practice the moves using strategies and concepts. We will have chess fun throughout the summer including structured chess instruction, puzzles, skittles, rated and unrated tournaments

Our Annual Spelling Bee is back. We have trophies for First and Second place and ribbons with certificates for all kids as every speller is a winner. We provide free training for the Spelling bee, From Dec-7 5:30-6:00 PM every Friday. The last session will be held on Feb-14,2019.
