Laci had absolutely nothing to do with her day. No one was up to travel the city or was too busy to, the clerks at the front of the hotel said that she couldn't bother them no more (which was an extreme bummer because one of theme was hella cute), and her freaking roommate used all of the electricity in the hotel room. Okay, it was only out for a few seconds, but she was watching Gossip Girl! After she finished the first few episodes, she grew tired of it, and found something new to do; experimenting with makeup. She was subscribed to numerous YouTubers that were beauty gurus and she was determined to learn how to contour like them. 

As she sat in the mirror practically dying from all the bronzer powder that she was inhaling, her phone dinged in her lap, and she momentarily glanced down to read the text. A grin slowly made it's way onto her lips as she saw the word cookies and she quickly closed her bronzer compact before replying with "ok ok i'll be there soon bc i gotta wash my face bc i look like a clown ps don't ever listen to youtubers contouring is hard af". Shortly after, Laci rushed to the bathroom and washed her face until it was makeup free before exiting her hotel room with her phone and room key in her back pocket and walking down the hall until she saw Olive's room number and knocked on the door.

Olive had spent most of her day cuddled up in a huge bundle blankets that consisted of the hotel blanket, the extra blanket in the closet, and a blanket from her home. She probably looked like a giant colorful marshmallow to any random person who happened to enter the room. Lucky for her, nobody had. Besides that, her main focus was her phone and the Christmas movie marathon on a random channel she came across. The marathon had put her in a Christmas cookie baking mood. Even though the task of baking a batch of cookies in a hotel was nearly impossible, Olive was determined to find a way to make it work. The first person that came to her mind to help her with this deed was none other than Laci. Well okay, that was a lie. She thought of a few other people before her, but she knew that Laci would be the only one who would actually agree to the challenge. The girl grabbed her phone from the giant blanket mess and texted Laci a quick message saying, “pls come to my room i want to bake cookies :((” and hoped that she would agree to her dumb request. In the meantime, she gathered all the supplies she needed from the small store near their hotel, which consisted of flour, pre-made gingerbread dough, and icing. The store didn’t have any cookie cutters so she settled on Christmas themed candies shaped like Santa Claus and a reindeer. They’d figure how to use them for their cookies later. Her short trip didn’t last any longer than 10 minutes, and Olive made her way back to her shared hotel room, setting out the supplies for the cookies and waiting for her friend to arrive.

laci x kaya // last minute christmas shopping

Because Laci was the best procrastinator she knew, she had managed to procrastinate Christmas shopping for everyone. That mean family, friends, and the Flashfam. But in her defence, she hadn't even noticed that it was almost Christmas until she was reminded by her mother. So, after gathering all the money she had stuffed in suitcases, purses, and anything else she could find in the shared hotel room, she stuffed it all in the wallet she had brought with her for the tour and pulled out her phone, going through her contacts to see if she wanted anyone to come along. Christmas shopping sucked when you did it alone. After doing some scrolling, she landed on Kaya. Laci had noticed Kaya hadn't been as happy as normal lately, and she hadn't asked because they were always in large groups, so maybe now could be the time that Laci got information, or at least cheered the girl up. She pressed the phone icon next to Kaya's number and brough the phone to her ear, listening to the rings and waiting to see if she would pick up.
