The lighting Indoors? Yeah it sucks. But Modders have got it sorted.

Hey my lovely simmer friends, 

My dash has been alive with people complaining about the Sims 4 Lighting inside the lots, and let's face it, it really sucks. Did nobody not get this at Maxis, I mean guys. Rookie error. Or maybe it's just our obsession with screenshots? Either way, want a lighter house? Download here.

Sims 4 Patch

There’s a new Sims 4 update available now in Origin. According to EA, they are fixing the “distorted” baby issues experienced by some users. To update, open the Origin client and allow the download to continue. If you have automatic updates enabled in Origin’s “Application Settings”, the game will auto update once you open Origin.   To ensure your game is up to date, check the game version found in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > GameVersion.txt. Your game should now read: 1.0.671.10. If you have updated but it is not showing the correct game version, boot the game, shut it down, and then it will be corrected.

Bug Fixes / Issues:

It has been brought to our attention that some of our cute and adorable babies have had difficulty expressing themselves without… well… distorting.  There was an issue with some integrated chipsets causing the poor little ones to appear in their own “unique” way. We have corrected the problem and pulled everyone back together. Thank you for helping us identify, and track down this issue.

This is for Color Magic v0.5.2!

Step 1: 

Navigate to the folder you have your CM in and locate the “images” folder. 

Step 2:

Inside you will see a “default_swatch” dds. This is the thumbnail image. Edit it inside your favorite editing program and save OVER it as a DTX 1 NO ALPHA (Should be the first option)

Step 3: 

Open CM and create your package as usual but stop on the CONFIGURE RECOLOR screen. Under Color Swatch click ADD and it should bring in your edited default_swatch image:

Save and test in game!

You will have to edit the default_swatch FOR EVERY PACKAGE! I do not know what will happen if you merge packages.

Hi! I was browsing through the sims 4 tag and I saw your post about waiting! Have you heard/read about the VPN method to trick Origin into thinking that you're in a country where it's already released so you can play it when it's finished downloading? I'm from the UK too and I've been playing it all day!

DON’T GET ME STARTED. I do the VPN thing all the time, because Hulu is just the most incredible thing in the world. However, PayPal is not. So, the stupid fucks they are, have barred my account because I did something - no idea what. I’ve just started college today, so I haven’t called them yet. By this point, I was just like fuck it, I’ll wait patiently because patience is a virtue. I AM VIRTUOUS OOTEERR.
