When the Decepticons find it, it obviously takes a while between finding the Key in him and attempting to remove it. And between that time they don't think there's anything holding it there.

But after trying to pull it out doesn't work, that when they realize there must be something holding it in place. They still don't really know, but there's guesses.

Glad I could get you interested. More stuff for that AU will be coming, it'll just take a bit cause I want to do an art piece with it too. And motivation to draw on my phone is hard to find.

Would Smokey have a sort of soider sense cus of the key? I mean, it’s an ancient relic that’s apparently at least SEMI SENTIENT, so would it have strange affects on Smokey’s body? Like faster reflexes or smth?

The only effect the relic would have is a durable frame, to protect the relic itself, and many trips to the med-bay. Mainly because it isn't use to an actual body and accidentally pushes joints too far sometimes.

I feel like sometimes, the autobots or decepticons wouldn’t be able to tell if it’s smokescreen or the key in control.

“Is smokescreen being possessed again or just zoning out?”

“Zoning out. He’s not sticking near Optimus.”

also imagine there’s just always something inherently WRONG about the way smokescreens EM field is or sometimes his voice sounds off and no one can figure out why before the key is revealed so they drop it(the autobots do atleast) because. That would be pretty gosh darn rude to say to a youngling? Like ‘Hey you just give off vibes to me so I don’t trust you bye’

Yeah. The boy definitely zones out or just acts weird at times. He's alright, just special. Though the Autobots will be able to tell the difference after a while.

Yeah. His EM field is calm, laced with something that no one can really understand. His voice relaxed, no emotion behind it. He just feels wrong when the Key is doing its thing.

It totally would. And it would totally work. Especially if it dims all his lights except optics.

Especially if they know what's happening with Smokescreen at that point. The knowledge that a powerful relic is just staring at you...

And of course, Smokescreen as an extension would give off the aura. But only because they know the Key could take over any time.

Spider, yes I know they're an arachnid but it was the first thing I thought of.

Ladybug, found a yellow one when I was like 7 and then was told the lucky yellow story.

Grasshopper, picked one up once when it got into my tent while camping.

Praying Mantis, they just look cool. And go girls.

Bees, they help keep such pretty flowers around.

And an extra cause spiders aren't actually bugs. Butterflies, because they show how something so small can become beautiful and meaningful.

also funny idea, What if you combined the predacon sister au with the memory lost au. That would be silly(fumus would be downright homicidal)

Smokescreen know how animals work, so he knows basically how Predaking works. He'll understand it's an adoption. And honestly, he probably really needs that.

Team Prime would be very stressed about the amnesiac rookie getting botnapped by the big bad Predacon. Before realizing that Predaking isn't actually hurting Smokescreen and Smokescreen seems to be the most relaxed he ever has been. So they relax when they figure out everything is alright.

I don't mix AUs, simply because I have a lot and mixing them would confuse me, but you are right.

None of the Autobots or humans are prepared to deal with a bot who's startled the sound of his own mechanics. The Decepticons really messed him up, simply because they were upset by his uselessness. I can't imagine what they could have done to him...

Smokescreen would let himself get adopted. Predaking is earthen toned and looks more like an animal, so even with his big size Smokescreen feels more comfortable. A lot more comfortable than with Prime. And he understands how animal families work, so he quickly lets the adoption happens. He's happy to be part of a nest, it's familiar.

THE ARCHIVIST AU SOUNDS SO COOL??

how would everyone react to the fact that alpha Trion has been dead for ages and Smokey just. Hid it. The fact that smokescreen, a YOUNGLING, had all that pressure on him?

ooough.. ratchet is gonna kill him when he learns about how Smokey did surgery ON HIMSELF with no proper training, tools, and then shoved the omega key in himself.

Smokey in this au is gonna have some side effects from that isn’t he.

They'd be very reluctant to believe it. But with enough proof they would. They'd feel uneasy about it. This youngling is probably one of the most high ranking officials in the universe, and yet he still does dumb things. Though they'd lay off him, not wanting to put even more pressure on him. And Optimus would do what he could to help, trying to lighten the load.

Ratchet would immediately drag Smokescreen into the med-bay when he puts two and two together. Lecturing him as he checks for lasting damages.

I suppose, self surgery could have side effects. :3

Which AUs are not talked about the you wish had more traffic?

Symbiote, Broken Holoform, Archivist, Shifter, and Failed Escape.

I really like them but they're hardly brought up by other asks. And without asks it makes it hard for me to make content cause I worry no one will be interested.

I also really want to make reference art for the Shifter AU, but I've been putting it off due to my drawing tablet being out of commission.

It is inspired by canon, just different continuity canon. So I can't take all the credit. But I'm glad you like it.

Sentinel was willing to go to great lengths. He did this to make sure the truth never came out, and to punish Smokescreen for still being loyal to the Primes. But the idea that he could do something like this, does leave the worry of what would have happened if Optimus failed to reveal the truth.

Smokescreen would have so much guilt in his spark. The only reason I don't have him being the one killing Alpha Trion is because he needs to be in the mines. But he's still killed plenty others. He's the reason Bee was tormented with loneliness.

Megatron would really never trust Smokescreen, even with Soundwave's reassurance. And to be completely honest, Smokescreen would stay with Optimus, so Megatron wouldn't like him anyway.

And the high guard. One of their own, tormented in this way, it makes them glad they did not meet the same fate. But they are saddened that one of their brothers had to suffer that. And they are saddened he cannot return to them any time soon.

Ratchet would FREAK after seeing Smokey freshly rescued from the cons.. I doubt they would properly patch him up, also, the wounds he sustained before being found by the cons that he didn’t patch up properly?

Why would the autobots be on the nemesis anyways? They probably didn’t know Smokey existed unless they found him and then the decepticons found him.

The only damage he got was from getting the Key removed and some dents and scratches. There are some damages not caused by the Decepticons, say from the initial crash or from stuff he did to himself accidentally.

They'd probably be on the Nemesis to steal the Keys. Or maybe they only manage to get him during Darkmount and they find him in the building while attacking the place.

When you said he was in pain, did the cons physically rip the key from out of him and not use the phase shifter or when Smokescreen just so scared it caused physical pain?

Smokescreen didn't have the phase shifter for them to steal. And Knockout was upset about scratched paint. So yes, physically ripping.

I feel like him getting captured by the decepticons would make sense, especially with how he would freak out and bite Optimus when they save him(Because I assume the decepticons would NOT be nice to moss bot). Would he immediately run off back to his cave when they rescue him?

I feel the Decepticons would do their best to manipulate him into trusting him, or at least try. But give up pretty quickly after he continues to be hostile. Sure, they aren't bright colors, other than Knockout, but they are BIG. So Smokescreen feels threatened.

After he attempts to bit Megatron things are immediately done. He's dragged onto the ship and the Key is ripped out of him. And when he's finally rescued, he'd be in too much pain to fight back against the other scary looking bots.

As soon as he realizes he could leave, he'd try to make a break for home. Though unfortunately he'd be completely lost in the middle of the desert. Getting found curled up behind some rock, whimpering.

We love town cryptid smokey

everyone inside the town knows it’s true, but everyone outside thinks it’s just an urban legend. But the townsfolk know better.

How would the people of the town react to well, smokey either disappearing or team prime?

WE LOVE TOWN CRYPTID SMOKEY!!!

At first they would meet him with hostility. He's a big, metal, creature. But they very quickly learn he's more scared of them than they are of him. Most leave him alone, though very few decide to try getting close to him. He has a little area for gifts in his cave. It's not many, and they're all pretty small, but it makes him happy.

The town people would notice pretty quickly if Smokescreen disappeared. Again, most wouldn't care, but a few would start putting together a search. Someone posting about it on the Internet is probably how the Autobots found him.

Team Prime is too good to be spotted by the humans. But Smokescreen does talk of other like him to those who listen to him.
