Skuttles over here with my thoughts and headcannons for rainy/snowy days but also rambling that goes off into practical day-to-day things regarding kaiju

Personally I like to believe it depends on the kaiju; I imagine there are some which adding water to them can become MORE DANGEROUS because of some reason like reproduction (the plant and fungi kaiju, which fungi spores are prone to germination and dispersing more greatly at higher humidity levels) vs like. A kaiju that has an alkaline material in it being less priority since Hey 'alkalinity + water = kaiju melting' meaning easier to Cut Through the kaiju cause it's tough skin softened. Though this would Also have to be monitored cause, as you mentioned, biohazards- we don't wanna accidentally contaminate the soil/ground water BUT. BUT. What if the kaiju also add material/minerals Back into said things also? Just needs to be in moderation

If the kaiju crew is anything like farm work you just... don't get a day off. Ever. No rain or during fall you are working because you're the BACKBONE of society as an ag worker- you do food, fuel, and the environment; which I kinda imagine it's what Kaju would be used as? Considering all the research into kaiju technology such as the human to kaiju tissues that are mentioned Plus also the kaiju just being an abundant resource that it'd be a shame *not* to use them..

Smth I wonder is if, if it snows, do kaiju corpse ever get preserved..? If that's the case do the working specifically work to remove it or is that specimen used to study? Also to study them in the first place- are kaiju preserved the same way today's scientific specimen are?? This is to say. Kaiju taxidermy. We have weapons so like..... wonder if any of the more morbid soldiers ever kept part of kaiju corpses as a 'trophy'....

Back to kaiju disposal tho- wonder if them being on call would be similar to being an on-call medical worker?? Like those traveling nurses or someone who is on emergency calls for a shift since Hey you Can Not always predict a kaiju attack.. which just brings me back to how I believe kaiju disposal workers are just forced to do labor year round on the clock- they are the grime and gritty but need knowledge over kaiju anatomy/handling to not get hurt but it's also just Really labor intensive so. As an ag student, in my ind kaiju disposal = ag work but it's kaiju specifically fhdhs

How do rainy days affect kaiju clean-up crews, I wonder? I’d imagine it’d be similar to how rainy days affect construction crews, since kaiju clean-up is mostly outside work.

If it’s a light rain, maybe they just have to work through it? Or wait it out if it won’t be raining for long?

If it’s a heavy rain or rain that’s going to last all day, do the crews get the day off? Or is there a group that’s on-call to resume clean-up as soon as the rain stops, regardless of time of day? I’m assuming it’d be a bit of a biohazard issue to leave a kaiju corpse out for too long.

It sounds like, at least for Monster Sweeper, they have staggered shifts (chapter 3 of the manga, Kafka is already on the job site because he took the early shift) so maybe they have enough shifts that rainy days don’t affect their work too much.

Of course other factors like wind and lightning could play into whether they’re able to work through rain as well. Given how they have to actually climb the larger kaiju corpses, it could be pretty dangerous to work through rain even with the safety equipment they have.

THIS. Kn8 literally changes my brain chemistry without it I would be so much worse off it has been my crutch. Within the past 9 months (not even a year) I have rewatched s1 from start to finish 27 times without any fast forwarding or skipping of intros/outros. I am OBSESSED with this funky piece of media in a way I haven't since I first got into bnha 7/8 years ago.

Gods. Just. It ending HURTS. But you bet your ass I'll still be interacting with all its forms of media for years to come- this anime CHANGED ME and I am not letting it go. Game is also already pre-installed on my mobile^^

I hadn’t realized how numb I’d become to just everything until I got into Kaiju No. 8. It’s like I was catatonic before.

But Kn8 and specifically Kafka brought me back to life. I feel the most alive I have since I was like 19 years old.

I feel things I never thought I would and I feel so much more than I ever thought I could. Kafka gave me my spark back.

I feel like I’ve changed a lot over the past year and hopefully for the better. I just want to be someone Kafka would be proud of.

He may be a fictional character but he’s so real to me.
