Nintendo Announces That The Switch's Successor Will Be The Wii U Again

Putting an end to months of intense anticipation and speculation, Nintendo announced today that the Nintendo Switch's successor console will have the exact same name as its predecessor, the Nintendo Wii U. It will also have the exact same technical specs and game library, and Nintendo projects the exact same lackluster sales.

In a press conference at the company's Kyoto headquarters, senior executive officer Yoshiaki Koizumi explained the reasoning behind the move: "We decided to release Wii U again because it's pretty good. It rules, actually. I love it."

Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa further elaborated: "Nintendo Land was my shit. Game & Wario was so underrated. So was Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. So was Star Fox Zero. So was Animal Crossing amiibo Festival. So was Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric." Furukawa went on to list every single Wii U exclusive game over the next minute and a half, as Koizumi cheered and applauded.

Also present at the press conference was legendary developer Shigeru Miyamoto, who mostly talked about how much he misses Miiverse. "I'm so nostalgic for Miiverse. When I look back on my life, I realize that without exception, my most cherished memories and friendships all happened within Miiverse. In fact, it was in the Meme Run community that I met my current wife and children."

"Splatoon 1 is the best Splatoon," Furukawa continued. "Mario Maker 1 is the best Mario Maker. Hyrule Warriors 1 is the best Hyrule Warriors. Mario Kart 8 non-Deluxe is the best Mario Kart 8."

"Yooooo, the battle mode with the racing tracks was so much fun!!!" Koizumi exclaimed, as Miyamoto vigorously nodded in agreement. "Underrated," Furukawa repeated. "So underrated."

The press conference concluded with all three agreeing that the Nintendo Switch "sucks" and "ain't shit," deciding on the spot that they would deactivate its online servers in order to reconnect the Wii U ones as soon as possible. "If you like Switch better, I'm very sorry, but it's inferior and we're shutting it down."

"I'm not sorry," Miyamoto said, addressing Nintendo Switch fans directly. "Fuck you. I wish I could shut you down, too."

Can we reflect on what a badass Aziraphale is?

So many think our favorite angel needs rescuing, as if the Angel of the Eastern Gate, a Principality to boot, needs rescuing from anyone.

People mistake compassion for weakness, introspection for helplessness, love for… softness?

Aziraphale is a bloody warrior.

He gave away his flaming sword because he cared about humanity.

He stayed on Earth to protect humanity.

He loves a demon because he could see beyond labels, and look at the being with an open mind.

He is willing to change and grow when faced with new facts.

He doesn’t believe in things just because he’s told to, and does question everything.

And he had his reasons for going back to Heaven. Those reasons don’t necessarily have to do with Crowley directly. He is fully capable of doing things for himself.

Love doesn’t make one weak. Compassion doesn’t make one soft. Introspection isn’t a sign of gullibility.

He may not be as dramatic and forthright with his actions, but his actions are his own. And they don’t all revolve around Crowley.

When you judge one’s actions solely based on the context of a relationship, you lessen their meaning.

Aziraphale is strong, and he is his own entity. Part of that strength is being able to love… his hereditary enemy, humanity, himself.

Idc if this should go on my main/art acc but a little word of advice for artists with sketchbooks;

If you hate a page but don’t want to rip it out cuz it’ll either make your sketchbook thinner/look bad or you just feel bad for tearing a(nother) page out, turn it into a scrap page or a trash page—whatever you wanna call it; D o. I t.

I had(have) a horrible habit of tearing out pages I don’t like but realized I have a shit load of trinkets and garbage lying around so why not put it to good use?

It’s always smart to hold on to anything you think will look good for a certain page or will give you ideas to a whole new page in general.

If you’re limited with stuff that’s completely fine too. One way you can do this is literally fish around for anything you can possibly glue into/on your sketchbook.

(Could be on the cover of your sketchbook too, like glueing on loose coins or patches)

It’s better (in my opinion) to have somewhat of an idea for what you wanna glue into your page(s) but yet again it’s all the more fun when you’re just slapping shit on there and calling it good.

This could also be a good way to battle art block as well. You don’t gotta feel bad because you haven’t been capable of doodling lots recently; make a scrap page and maybe even incorporate tiny little doodles around in there too. Could be little smiley faces or goobers or whatever.

It could help you get somewhat creative as well. This isn’t the only way to battle art block, of course, but it’s one I highly recommend 👍
