I wonder how many of the people from 2012 era tumblr that touted the “women don’t want burly macho men, women want flynn rider or milo atlanis or roger 101 dalmations or that waifish guy from paperman!!” still feel that way. Cause all the women I know now prefer burly, fat, & hairy men with huge tits, and when I say women I’m including the lesbians
#I think the best way to phrase it is “women want men who don't boil down worth to appearances”#because typically those men make their partners feel bad and can be kind of shallow#whether that be a roided alpha type or a really skinny dude#I think it's fine to want to look a certain way but placing too much emphasis on it/making it your whole personality is very alienating

Why am I posting this?
Because I know I have a lot of young people following me, and because over the past few years, I've seen a shocking amount of anti-gay rhetoric in MY comment section. Of my Steven Universe fancomic. An extremely lgbtq-friendly show.
So what gives? My best guess is, I have a very wide following, and a lot of these readers are pretty socially insulated in conservative spaces that don't allow them to explore the concepts of the other side of the argument.
I'm not about to judge children on the environment they were raised in... but I'm also here. I'm a part of the environment. And I'd like to offer some perspectives.
If you don't agree with how I present things - great! Make your own post.
#hey chekhov just as a bit of an older fan I really really appreciate how you talk to the younger people in your fanbase#I've been on the Internet since I was 7 and I feel like the world wide web has become increasingly hostile to kids and teenagers#and for good reasons at times I get that not everyone wants to deal with annoying zoomer kids#but it frustrates me when people make a big deal out of it/patronize instead of blocking and moving on#anyways I think you're always very respectful and you appreciate the maturity that a lot of kids have#while also setting boundaries and speaking in an age - appropriate way#I think you handle the responsibility of having young fans very well and I wish more people did it like you#anyways!! hopefully this isn't weird lollol#otherpeoplesart.txt

Scrolling through a terf blog is insane cause there'll be posts that are valid and genuinely good takes about feminism,,, but the rest of it? The most vile hatred ever seen! Falling into terfism is so easy online, and that's what makes it so dangerous. These women are so obviously hurt and misplacing their anger towards trans people. In my head, women and falling into rad feminism is the same as the alt right male podcaster pipeline for men

That post I made over new years had people at my THROAT for saying I only buy real leather. Sorry I really do think that wearing textured plastic that will fall apart in under 5 years and go on to irreparably poison the environment is the worse option here.
