Actually Phil is the most deserving of the elytra because he deserves what would in canon be a mobility aid/prosthetic. Also he deserves something nice uwu.
god the want of philza getting an elytra cause he’s elytra man vs. me wanting literally almost anyone else but c!phil to be able to fly

In the qna stream cc!Sam did he pretty much confirmed that c!Sam didn't know/was guessing because c!Dream never told him and neitgsr confirmed or denied that it was for c!Tommy. We also don't know if c!Sam was being truthful about all the prison changes actually being c!Dream's idea since we know c!Sam tends to blame others for his actions. (Like him saying torturing Ponk was because they stole the key cards. The exchange with Foolish is either non-canon or a lie.)
Apple I am extremely sorry but I saw another person justifying the prison and I have to go insane at someone - WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK HOW CAN YOU TAKE A CLIP THAT HAS SO MUCH POWER IMBALANCE AND SAY AH YES. THEY WERE ON EQUAL GROUND AND C!DREAM WAS NOT BEING THREATENED WHATSOEVER AND THEREFORE HIS SLIENCE IS AN ADMISSION OF GUILT. HOW CAN YOU USE THIS TO JUSTIFY TORTURE. H O W anyways how was your day I am sorry for yelling
If anyone treats anything c!Sam said in that cell with any degree of seriousness I don't know what to tell you m8 that's just dumb and c!Dream has plenty of potential reasons for his silence other than agreement.
As for my day I am hella tired but hyped for the weekend.

He's not even that good at manipulation ngl. Most of the time he just, either A. Threatens people or B. Blatantly lies
some people are like “c!dream is an amazing villain” and then their takes on him are like generic villain trait #1, generic villain trait #2, trait he literally doesn’t have, has zero depth and could be replaced with any badly written one-dimensional bad guy you could come up with

Got new followers, haven't been active. Might be time to post the "c!Tommy is just as guilty of violence/abusive/toxic behaviors as almost literally every other character. Stop uwuing him it's ruining the moral gray narrative/just because he's a victim doesn't mean he's incapable of doing the same" take that's been stewing for 2 days.

how the destruction of l'manberg was inevitable
Tumblr media
or the application of anarchist theory on the dsmp
in her essay 'prisons: a social crime and failure' from the 1910 collection 'anarchism and other essays', emma goldman says 'every society has the criminals it deserves'.
the essay is talking about social and economic pressures that are often either compounded by the government or flat out created by it; things like the price of food being linked to the increase of property crimes like theft, etc.
but this is minecraft - and as i've said before, anarchism can't be applied one for one - and so capitalism and scarcity are something that have to be actively created and enforced (which is true for real life, honestly, but in minecraft it's much easier to go get resources for yourself).
so that leaves the question of, then what pressures or negative effects do systems of power on the dsmp cause that creates the inevitable backlash?
i thought about it for a bit and realized that the answer is fairly easy: it's attachments and the relationships between characters.
the quote in the screenshot above comes from techno's 'nothing goes wrong' stream and i think that's telling.
the events of nov. 16th were certainly felt and in a lot of ways do fall under the above - c!techno felt betrayed by those he trusted, c!wilbur believed he had lost his grip on his l'manberg, these are strains on relationships/attachments caused by the system of power.
(as an aside, i think the same can be applied to c!dream and his seeking to control people's attachments - even if it was an odd and ineffective attempt - and the reactions of people: it was inevitable as well.)
nov. 16th planted the seeds. as emma goldman would say, it perpetuated the poisonous air, not realizing that out of it can come naught but the most poisonous results.
the system of power was already creating that cycle of violence, that distrust of government. it's most notable in techno but you also see it in c!niki as well and in c!phil.
then there was techno's execution which only solidified his beliefs because it now threated everything he cared for: his friend and his animals. before, he had said that he was giving up on trying to convince people, that people were only going to create more governments, no matter what. after the execution, techno realizes that what he cares about will always be threatened.
c!phil says that he won't lose anyone else to this bullshit, to the government.
c!niki says that it's the thing that kept them from freedom.
and so l'manberg ultimately created the criminals it deserved, sealing its fate.

If anything, whatever goal he has was proven right. With a few exceptions, c!Dream doesn't do anything that nobody else hasn't done before. (Pretty much everything. Even manipulation was done by someone else as well.) So all that's been done to him? Framed as a good/deserved thing by everyone except Technoblade? Of course he's not going to change. Why should he be wrong, the prison just proves his point.
Y’all are like “c!dream is showing his priorities, he hasn’t changed positively at all” like duhhh did y’all think torture and isolation was gonna make him change his ways???

this right here is why I will die for c!Techno
he sees c!Dream lash out in frustration and instead of blowing up at him he goes 'hey m8 this is actually not the greatest idea you're being destructive' and c!Dream immediately stops instead of escalating further
who would've thought

Thinking about Techno and Dream sitting in the prison and talking, because there isn't anything else to do.
Maybe Techno tells Dream about his pets. And when Dream sadly says "I wish I could meet them" Techno says "You will" with such confidence that Dream feels the smallest spark of hope.
Maybe he will.

Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been a bit inactive, but I wanted to share something here and see if I could boost it.
I wrote a thread yesterday about how MCC was not at all friendly for the ND audience and the ND players and I’m gonna link it here:
It’s a thread going over what exactly made this MCC not ND friendly. If you’re Neurotypical, I ask that you please inform yourself and try to read it if you can and just in general whether boosting it on here through a reblog or retweet it on twitter, it would be much appreciated if you could help uplift my voice as a Neurodivergent person trying to speak up on Neurodivergent issues.
Also if anyone knows a way to potentially ensure this can reach the MCC staff, please tell me. I want to try anything to get their attention for these issues and if you want to take the link and care it yourself with them somehow, I’m absolutely okay with it, go for it if you can ensure it may end up on their radar.
I won’t go into reexplaining the thread on this post, but seriously both for ND players as we saw with Dream and Tubbo’s reactions and performance during the games at times, to the ND audience from myself to countless others who have privately and publicly shared their feelings and even NT people experience similar issues but less severe, this MCC was not at all sensory friendly to those of us with sensitive, those of us who are ND and thus can struggle with processing this stuff.
Please share seriously, it would be a huge help go ensure this message gets further spread and that things can be improved for next MCC so myself and countless others don’t have to struggle and risk being afflicted with physical injury and illness just because we wanted to watch a fun event and just improve the events accessibility for ND players to those who have already played and for the CC that may compete in the future.
Thank you for listening and I appreciate the help 💖

Tbh it's less cute and more just, basically stripping them of agency so they need the creator's choice of dad/sibling/savior to save them. Never both have plenty of cute moments that are canon, which really are made all the better by being canon and existing with their actual characterizations.
Canon is better than fanon especially when it comes to c!Tommy and c!Tubbo.
c!Tommy: little gremlin raccoon. Cares about others but often values possessions and emotions tied to them more. Yes to do the right thing but often acts selfishly. Blames other for his problems and issues, trying to ignore his own issues. Black white morality. Possessive of both his items and friends. Jokester but edges into violence. Overall a good person but still makes bad mistakes and hates consequences.
Fanon!Tommy: uwu baby, weak and weak willed. Traumatized uwu. Has never done anything wrong and manipulated by everyone. Can't do anything for himself. Sweet baby boy uwu
C!Tubbo: Wants peace overall and dislikes conflict. However will make sacrifices for the greater good and strikes back harder when hurt. Chaotic and strong-willed when he is pushed to it. But he tends to go with ideas and actions of people he's close to since he values those relationships. Tries to ignore how he's been hurt and push it down. Ruthless streak that has kept him alive and with some sort of power this entire time. Loves his family and friends above all.
Fanon!Tubbo: weak and a yes man. Abandons Tommy or is basically codependent. Bees uwu! Sweet and has done nothing wrong ever. A pushover crybaby who's forever affected by his execution and that's all his personality is.
(I should note that I love both of these characters. They're both complex and I really want to see more of c!Tubbo being ruthless and making hard decisions because it's so cool. I'm just tired of fanon warping or ignoring major personality traits for no reason. These are also mildly my interpretations of the canon characters feel free to disagrees)

hello hello i'm doing research
i see two groups of people being antagonistic of each other and i wonder why that is! if you're a c!dream/c!tommy apologist or have friends that are, please share this around and reblog. i'll tally up and share the results of this survey when i get enough answers, which should be around 50-100 from each side!
it's mostly about people's thoughts and motivations for defending their respective character, which i think would be very interesting to see! the dream smp fandom is diverse in opinions and i think that's neat but also i'd like to get to the bottom of it.
i have never done this before so please tell me if there's something wrong with the google form . wish you a nice day! :]

Well, bringing this back. I was semi-right. I still live in fear of c!Sam. I was worried someone would die (up for debate if reviving counts as dying).
C!Sam please, the Hell Box is bad for everyone including you. You want to tear down the prison so bad pspspsspspsps.
Everyday I live in fear of c!Sam realizing what the Bench Trio is planning and going after them. Not because he wants to protect c!Dream, them, or because of morals, but because keeping the prison secure is almost his sole obsession. CC!Sam even stated that the character would do terrible things just to keep the prison secure.
Which brings the question, how far would either group go to achieve their goal?
