I decided to do something funny. Here are some log entries of John Engineer in my current Factorio play through (it is modded).

Log Entry #270

“While trudging through the Glebian swamps, my automated systems around Fulgura alerted me to something interesting. A moon, now designated as ‘Cerys’, that I had previously thought devoid of resources has an odd signal coming from it. It may be best to take the Daedalus to investigate...”

Log Entry #274

“It appears the signal on Cerys was coming from the ruins of a colossal fission reactor. It must have further deteriorated from an asteroid impact, exposing some highly radioactive material. I’ve found ruins here. Ancient cryoplants and crushing mills. Maybe I can get this stuff working again, recycle what is left behind and repurpose it for my use….”

Log Entry #275

“I am cut off from the Daedalus and the Prometheus. It appears the asteroids that impact Cerys’ surface interfere with the drop pods. I lost a lot trying to get supplies down here. It must be luck that I made it in one piece. Maybe if I can get this reactor repaired, I can set up a defense grid to protect incoming pods…”

Log Entry #276

“There is very little atmosphere here. Thankfully, my mech suit has an oxygen recycling system. However, due to this, there is no natural heat. This is causing my machines to freeze up. It looks like there are heating towers scattered across the surface. They don’t seem too dissimilar to the ones I have back on Gleba. Insert fuel, generate heat. Though these seem to radiate the heat over an area. It seems I’ll need to build around them to prevent my machines from freezing over…”

I wrote these instead of sleeping. Also first real post. I humbly accept comments and criticism.
