Hi, I just had my first NBR's removed, and am horrified at the damage it left behind. I saw your blog, and wish I had seen it sooner. Thank you for having the courage to speak up, you are the only stylist who made this info public. When I confronted my stylist, she admitted other clients were left with bald spots, but thought it was due to her inexperience. She said she is done with them as well. -Dawn Klein

I want you to know that your stylist was probably gaslit by DKW when and if she reached out to her about the problem as I was. You should also know that since this post I have received a lot of messages from fellow stylists who had the same experience, and sadly, one former client of hers who she also blamed for the issue! It is so frustrating that this continues to happen, but I’m grateful this post has reached so many, if not to spare them, at least to validate their experiences. Additionally, I hope that everyone who has had this experience is willing to reach out and connect privately in order to be stronger together as we seek a solution. DKW and her husband are parasitically exploiting stylists within the industry, as well as bilking clients out of thousands of dollars. It’s not ok.

This is as big as my fine hair can get. Weapon of choice today was my Revlon Triple Barrel waving iron. I prefer it to other ripple irons because the tongs are larger and the tray is a deep wave so it gives a more believable natural wave texture than most. I prep the hair with volumizing products and dry shampoo spray (favorites are Kenra mousse and Big Sexy Dey Shampoo) and then section halfy hair up to get started. I take wide sections about an inch thick. Then mess it up when it cools (no brushing) and hit it with a hairspray or texturizing spray. #Revlon #Kenra #bigsexyhair #waves #finehair #portlandhair
