im sifting through hotd for gifs and i literally just noticed

alicent is still wearing the dress implied to be her mothers, even after she's given the king an heir and other children??

idk if it was intended this way by the costume department but honestly i suddenly feel like its another sign on her being pushed into the background, just a baby making machine...

normally a queen would be lavish, a show of the power and wealth of the realm, but she's still in hand me downs

and honestly the most queenly gown i feel like young alicent wears is the one for aegons name day when she's heavily pregnant, that just compounds it
