There are levels to getting to know him.

Strangers get a “fuck off” at the least and a threat at most

Not strangers but not friends he's still pretty gruff probably on purpose to keep people at a distance

If you can dig past all of that and actually become his friend he's surprisingly soft. He’ll joke around, be even more sarcastic if that's possible, and constantly flirt, ask him nicely enough and he’ll do just about anything for you, not without complaining though.
