Love the composition and the subject(s) so much. The Peter Mitchell exhibition at Leeds Art Gallery was one of the highlights of 2024. Such an evocative set of photos.

Wyatt and Ayers originally met in 1961. “Someone had told Kevin, ‘oh there’s one other bloke in East Kent with long hair,” says Wyatt. “You’d get on.” They did.
So sweet!
This is from a Simon Reynolds article about the almost concurrent release of The Unfairground and Comicopera in 2007, both of which turned out to be the final "solo" albums of these respective artists. There must have been something in the air. Well worth the read for more context about each album, as well as their similarities and differences.
I hadn't realised that these two old Langton boys had gone 30 years without seeing each other prior to the recording process for The Unfairground. It's quite moving.
