Subject matter is nothing more than an experiment at this stage. Purposes in post-experiment stage are unknown, self-determined, and random in nature. Others are advised to handle with caution. ☾Biography: ☽ The following is an excerpt from the recordings of Dr. Calvin Gray, anatomist and mecha-biologist under Bastion Medical Response: - - - Our scouting mission, now in it's third day, had been all but a failure. Lieutenant Rossward, a few of my colleagues, and myself are all that remains of the research band that had been composed for this mission. The others, lacking the patience to consistently deal with the ever-friendly locals, headed back to the Bastion shuttle to likely drink coffee and take bets on who among us would come back in one piece. Their questionable bravery is not without fair reason... - - However, the goal was utmost important to myself, and some of my more invested colleagues. Indeed, results not of the expected variety were yielded. While we were scouting for military and medical tech supplies in a nearby hospital, we came across an active life support system, powered by the back-up generator. There was no way to tell how long it had been churning in this God forsaken wasteland. - - Furthermore, the life support system indeed was fully functional, a fact that was made apparent by the life it was supporting. A young female human, nourished only by the vitamins and water intravenously, was laying on a soiled hospital pad. She was unpigmented to the point of being nearly completely white, and was utterly unresponsive. Unsure if she would even handle transportation, it was in my best regards to leave well enough alone; it was a wonder she had survived this long and would not defy nature for much longer. - - It was Rossward who held a hand up when we turned to depart. He had orders directly from his superiors, telling us to bring the patient to the shuttle. Orders were orders, and I had no interest in arguing with the only armed team member among us. _____________________________ Bastion BioMed R&D// DATA.LOG ►//06:30/- Subject has been transferred to a sterilization chamber for operation in 16 hours. The procedure will be exceptionally high-risk. Expectations for survival are low. ►//22:25/- Subject is transported, and prepared for invasive surgery.
