This is so relevant now too, when Ed wears a literal cat collar in season 2!!

Can we talk about how Stede didn't NEED Ned the jaguar to accomplish his Barbados fuckery? He could have just have stood in the street, delivering his heartfelt apology to Mary, got "hit" by the runaway carriage, made the body switch, and ridden away while the corpse got creamed by the falling piano.

But as soon as Evelyn said "Oh, that's just my kitten, Ned." Stede knew it HAD to be part of his fuckery.

He knows a good fuckery plays upon people's fears. Ned looks fierce and intimidating, but is really just a big pussy cat. Ned is Drama. Ned is Adventure.

Ned is also a (now little-used) nickname for Edward.

#very sweet owners but not sure if they knew what ‘innkeepers’ are supposed to do?#they kept asking me when the other was away if they were doing the right thing #and then asking me to describe in ‘exact details’ why I thought they were #had a great breakfast #they set up the whole table with snacks and all sorts of delicious things #there was also a ball of twine tho?#that they kept giggling at?#and then explaining it’s an ‘inn joke’???#they also did not leave #like at all #felt like a third wheel tbh #I went to go to sleep (very quality bedsheets btw) after we ate dinner together around a lovely fire outside #and then when I was almost asleep they climbed into bed with me??#and I was stuck there in between them THE WHOLE NIGHT?!!?!!#(to be fair one of them was very cuddly)#(but at one point I thought we were gonna fall out cause the other guy kept stretching out)#but it’s ok because they were gone in the morning #at least that’s what I THOUGHT #UNTIL I HEARD THEM IN GIGGLING IN MY WARDROBE #AND THEY WERE PLAYING DRESS UP IN MY CLOTHES #overall tho ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#lovey scenic view
