I’m really sorry guys...
Alright, so I’m gonna be honest with you guys: This acc will not be as "active" anymore (notice how I wrote "active" in quotation marks...)
This is simply because I don't feel that inspired anymore - and with longer school days, work, training, and insane amounts of homework and tests, inspiration and motivation will be key to success.
HOWEVER, this does NOT mean that I will quit writing here!! Knowing me, I will probs get more excited and thrilled to write again once I get to watch some of the fourth season;)
So fear not my loved ones, I believe this will only be a break:) I am sorry though, that you guys couldn't get a last imagine done, before this post (which I have been thinking about posting for a while now)
But guys, I've been thinking... If some of you are willing to write a draft for one of my requests, or a part two of my works: FEEL FREE TO SUBMIT YOUR WORK TO ME, and I'll have a look at them! I may do some editing, and ask you if it's ok to post it like that. OF COURSE, you'll get credits ;)
So please! If anyone is willing to collab with me, send me a DM and we’ll chat more about it:))

Daddy’s promise 0.2
READ PART 1 HERE
Request from anon: 083 would be awesome
Category: Pregnancy 083: “I can’t be pregnant… or….OH, MY GOD! ”
Pairing: Barry Allen x reader Warnings: Mild swearing (I think there’s like… three curse words or something) Words: 3777
A/N: Orignially it was just 1 part, but guys, it was huge. I myself know that If I found an imagine of almost 8k words, I wouldn’t have read it, so yeah...!
ϟϟϟϟϟ
And Barry had surely kept that promise. But not only did he just stick around, no; when Barry committed to something, he really went all in. For the past three months, Barry had sped over to Y/N and Mary’s apartment daily. At lunch he’d be with Y/N, before getting to STAR labs, he would visit her. Whenever something happened, he would hurry to his loved one and inform her: it was literally every little change that happened – Barry didn’t want Y/N to feel left out just because she stayed at home. After his Flash-duties, he would rush over to Y/N and Mary, telling them both about the day’s meta-challenge. And even though Y/N’s best friend got annoyed at times, she would shush her, and protect the brown haired boy.
And if that wasn’t enough, Barry really had done his fair share of research. It was so well conducted that Y/N almost got a bit depressed by how little she knew.
“I brought cake- what are you doing?!“ Barry’s mood changed quickly, and it didn’t take many seconds before he stood in front of the tired, pregnant woman, whom now was coffee-less. "Hey! That’s mine! Make your own for Christ’s sake!” Grumpy Y/N was fierce enough alone; pregnant grumpy Y/N? Let’s just say everyone was happy she was limited edition, and gone in 26 weeks. “Caffeine is theenemy, Y/N! It can lead to miscarriege and infants! Now, we both want that baby to beas healthy as possible, right?” Barry asked, to which Y/N huffed in annoyance, but agreed with a low 'yeah’. “Well, as I was saying, I brought cake! Happy first-day-of-your-second-trimester!” He said happily, handing it to Y/N, whom snatched it angirly with no 'thank you’.
It did make her angry at times – especially when it affected the things that stood Y/N nearest…
It was sushi-night at the Y/L/N-Collins household. Because of Y/N’s appetite emptying all of the wallets in the house, they hadn’t had any type of raw fish since the pregnancy, which is why this night had been the highlight both of them had been looking foreward to the entire week.
“I’m home honey!” Mary made her dramatic entrance with food in her hand. “I smell heaven on Earth!” Y/N honestly had a foodgasm the second the delicious smell hit her nostrils. “Barry said he’d be here in a minute, have you set the table?” Mary asked, and came into the living room. “Who cares?! Food me, please!” Y/N was so amped, she didn’t even notice the blur that snatched her highlight away from her.
“Nu-uh, no sushi for the woman in red!” Barry said from the other side of the room. “I’ll change my shirt!” Y/N was desperate – all she wanted was some good ol’ sushi and spring rolls! “Nope! Not changing anything! I brought you Chinese food, though!” Barry put the raw fish on the counter, which by chance was the place Maryaccidently happened to be. “Hun, I love you, but I ain’t sympathy-eating Chinese with you now, this sushi is way too good to go to waste…” at this, Y/N jumped up from her seat and went to tacle her friend. Though it seemed Barry wasn’t just quick on his feet, but also extremely strong as well.
But Y/N did appreciate it most of the time. She particularly found it cute when he came with facts that didn’t have anything to do with foods.
“Two hot chocolates for Barry and Y/N!” The barista shouted. Y/N went up to go get her drink, though she didn’t get to move an inch before Barry interrupted her: “You just sit, I’ll get them,” he said with a wink, which made Y/N’s insides twist and turn. Was it one thing she had learned to really appreciate during the past months, was Barry neither drinking nor eating anything she couldn’t – in contrast to Mary, whom just did it when it fitted her.
“So week 27, huh? How does it feel, knowing your baby’s inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid?” Barry asked taking a sip of his drink. This was what Y/N mostly liked, but also disliked about him beng the baby-expert between the two of them – well, it’s not always so funny having the father of your child (who doesn’t know he’s the father) knowing pretty much everything when you just knew to avoid alcohol (and caffeine;))
“The baby does what?" "It’s kind of breathing, this week you may get some tickles as well, kiddo’s getting it’s first hiccups!" "Are you for real? Is that what it is? Where were you this morning when Mary called me paranoid?!” Y/N laughed, enjoying herself in Barry’s company. “Yeah, and the little guy can even open and close his eyes now, sucks his tumb as well," "Are you kidding?! He couldn’t do that before? Oh my poor baby, you haven’t opened your eyes before? Well, how do you like seeing? Don’t wory, it’s completely normal to get tired, mommy get’’s tired many times, that’s why she takes naps, do you take naps?”
Barry watched her talk to her rather big belly. This was why he woke up in the morning for. For these little moments he got to have with Y/N Y/L/N, the girl who had stolen his heart, and who was most likely unaware of her theft. The only thing he could think of when he went to bed was her. His day with her, and his appreciation of how their bond had gotten even tighter than before their time apart. How lucky he was to spend hours with her every day, which the father of the baby didn’t.
Today, on the other hand, was one of the days Y/N wanted to supplant after the birth. She was currently in her 34th week, and her due date was coming up sooner than what she was ready for. Not only did her panic tear on Y/N’s mentality, but the moments of dizziness came more frequent as well as the fatigue hitting her stronger – it didn’t exactly help that getting a comfortable position in bed was almost impossible. “Hey, Y/N! I brought doughnuts!” There were days like these, that Barry was her saint. It really did help having a speedster on speed dial when you were pregnant in distress.
“Oh you kind soul, you. I’m so grateful I have you, Barry, you’re a real life angel, you know that?” Y/N asked, taking the only thing that could distract her mind for some seconds. “Well, everything for you, Y/N, it’s not easy doing this on your situation,” he said, giving her a hug. “But I’m not alone, I have you, my guardian angel,” Y/N smiled up at him. “You know what I mean, I just feel so guilty for the father not getting to experience this with you, then again I don’t feel sorry for him since he left you alone on this…!”
It was killing Y/N now. Before she used to tell herself it was completely ok he didn’t know. Why would it matter anyways? Though by each day, the telling got more and more difficult. In the end, Y/N had to get Mary to tell her it was ok (which she only did because Y/N was so desperate it made her best friend’s heart break), lying to herself got too hard it didn’t work. “Barry, I have to tell you something…” She said. This couldn’t last any longer. He deserved to know. “Yeah?” But as her eyes locked with his, the words got stuck up her throat. She couldn’t just tell him! It was way too late to do that! Why hadn’t she just told him right at once? This was so much worse!
“Uhm… I-uh, I really appreciate what you’ve done for me for the past months, even though I kept it secret for you for so long…” She chickened out. She couldn’t do it. “That’s the least I could’ve done! What are… what are friends for?” At the word friends, Barry scolded himself inside his head. Why couldn’t they be more? What did he do wrong? He couldn’t just ask here right there and then to be something more. He couldn’t do that, it wouldn’t be right to take advantage of her when she was so hormonal…
That day, Barry had taken a sick day from work and talked to the team he couldn’t be Flash for the rest of the evening either. Mary was out on her third date with a guy she had met some weeks ago, so the pair were eating dinner alone in the little flat. “The central nervous system and lungs are maturing? What does that mean?” Y/N asked, taking another bite of the spaghetti Barry had made for them. “Well, the central nervous system is the brain and spinal cord, so by them maturing as well as the lungs, pretty much means that they are fully developed and good to go,” “You’re so smart, I hope the baby will get your smart brain,” Y/N said, not thinking of what she had just dumped at the father sitting in front of her. It didn’t take her long time though, because when her eyes met his, and she saw the shock in his eyes, she gasped. Her hand flew to her mouth. “I’m so sorry,” she made out before quickly leaving the table, and moving as fast as her feet could, to her bedroom and locked the door.
The two people were left both emotional. Thoughts were bombarding their minds, and tears were running down their cheeks. ’He’s probably so mad right now, God, I kept it a secret for too long! He will never look at me the same ever again! Oh no, Mary was right! I ruined this! I kept him in the dark! Oh lord, what have I done?’ 'I’m the father? Did I hear that right? Oh God, I’m the father! I will have a baby boy or girl in six weeks…Wait… Was it that night we did it? Is that why she avoided me? Why didn’t she tell me sooner? Doesn’t she want me to be there for her? She should have told me anyway! That was my right! That is my right!’ Sadly, Barry left the apartment angry that night.
“He just left you here?!” Mary was mad. She was mad at her best friend for not listening to her earlier, so she wouldn’t be in this depressed state now, and she was mad at Barry for having a natural, but still a jerky reaction to the reveal. “Mary, I don’t know what to do! He’s my world, and now he hates me!” “Oh shush, he doesn’t hate you! But he’s mad1 And that1s completely normal! Because you didn’t tell him straight away, but rather waited to slip that bomb on him eight months later!” “What should I have done?! Mary, we weren’t even near talking about being boyfriend/girlfriend, what would you have done if you had been me?! Telling the guy you’re sure is your soulmate that you’re pregnant the day after you’ve just slept with each other isn’t exactly piece of cake!” The tears were pouring down Y/N’s cheeks, and a pang of guilt spread inside of Mary.
“Sorry, you’re right, I just have so many feelings right now Y/N, I can’t control them. But you’re right, you’re not the bad guy here,” she comforted her friend. “I think he just needs some time to think, before you know it, your Barry will be knocking on your door.”
“Man this is some heavy shit you’ve got going on!” Cisco erupted. Barry had told him everything about his current situation and was now pleading for advice of what to do. “I mean, I love her, Cisco, but with this thing going on… Man, I don’t know what to do, Cisco…” Barry sighed and looked at his Latino friend. “Dude, this one’s tough! You sure this is what you want though? To be a dad?” “I think so… If you’d asked me that some weeks ago, I wouldn’t even question it, but she hid this from me, Cisco… I just don’t know anymore…”
Barry was sad. Why couldn’t Y/N just have told him right away? Then this wouldn’t have happened. He wouldn’t be at STAR Labs questioning a really tough decision, but she’d be in his arms. He would’ve whispered reassurings into her ear, they would day dream about their little family. “Well this is a boat you have to be 110% on board on, Bar, so if you ain’t completely sure if you even want a ticket, I think you should let the ship sail, my man,” this saddened Barry. He had to say goodbye to Y/N? To never see her again? If he wouldn’t be with her on this journey, it certainly would be wrong to still hang around.
Cisco sensed his friend’s worry and went for a hug. “Calm down, brother, this will be fine. Y/N’s a strong, beautiful girl, and she will get through this. Before you know it she’ll get the help she needs from another guy…” And that was just what Barry feared: another guy stealing his Y/N away from him.
“Barry Allen!” An angry looking Mary Collins came striding into the Speed Lab of STAR Labs. Her presence stopped every movement inside the laboratory, and she immediately grabbed everyone’s attention. The fierce black haired woman walked right up to the Flash and glared so hard at him, Barry could feel her laser eyes at him. “You…” Mary pricked his chest, she didn’t even know where to start. “Do you even have the slightest idea, of what you have done?” Suddenly, it was as if the anger inside her, bottled up for the past weeks, just tipped over, and everything just spilled: “Y/N’s an extremely hormonal woman, in her 39th week of pregnancy, and you have left her alone!? Do you know that she’s been weeping in her bed ever since she finally gathered the courage to tell you?! The poor woman has been scared all the time, scared to tell you because she didn’t want to drive you away! You know what I told her?! That if she didn’t talk to you, you would have drifted apart, so she did! She went on that date with you, and she told you she was pregnant! I don’t know how she did that, but it took a lot of strength, and she was so brave! Now telling you you’re the father? Can you even imagine the constant pressure she had to carry on her shoulders that whole time you didn’t know? And how the fear of the outcome squeezed on the other side and tapped her for powers? And when she finally managed to tell you, you just leave her?! Alright, it’s OK to react and take som time to cope, but Barry! It’s been weeks!”
“She ran away to her room! I though she didn’t want me to be there!” Barry defended himself and took some steps back from the red-eyed girl. “You can go stick that excuse up my ass, Allen! Of course she ran! She had just told you you’re the father of her unborn child! Do you think she thought that was fair of her to do? She’s beating herself up! And poor Y/N can’t run away from this problem, so you acting like a coward like this is making me sick, I’m so mad!” And then she stopped. Her eyes wandered around in the room to find the whole team Flash speechless. “You’ve got a week, Flash, the baby’s getting born next Tuesday, so be there, or never step a foot near my Y/N ever again. And God bless you if you do, because I don’t do mercy with the guys that hurt my best friend.”
“What the hell was that?” Iris was the first to speak up after Mary had stormed off. Her eyes were set on her best friend in the scarlet spandex. “Well, you see, I uhm, I ehhh…” Barry was lost for words. Maybe it was because his best friend was sending him a hardcore glare right now, or it was because of how true Mary’s words had been. “Barry…” Iris’s eyes softened as she walked up to the brown haired boy whose eyes were directed at the floor. “I know you’re a good guy,” Iris continued, “and good guys rarely do douchy moves, and certainly not at this level,”
At the corner of his eye, Barry could make out Cisco slowly making his way to the door, though his nano-second eye twitch, Iris noticed as well, and a deep sigh escaped her lips. “Cisco? This was his advice? Oh God, Barry! No offense, Cisco, but what were you thinking!?” Cisco’s arms flew up in the air an act of surrender. “Heyheyhey, slow down! I didn’t think this would happen! All I did was tell him that if he wanted to be a dad, he needed to be sure 100%!” Barry shook his head in shame. What had he done? “What can I do to fix this?..” He said out loud. At this Iris was fast to turn her heels towards him. “You tell her the truth. The whole, heart clenching truth. And you do that romantically and fast.”
“Hey, Mary, what took you so long?!” Y/N shouted from the couch, brushing her tears away from her chin. “Sorry, Kevin never stopped rambling, he, his seven cousins, and grandma wish you the best of luck, they even got us more of those cookies we don’t like!” Mary didn’t lie completely. Kevin had talked a lot, and he and his family did wish Y/N good luck next Tuesday. But she knew her friend wouldn’t like it if she knew where she just came from, and what she did there. “Naaw, I love granny Wong…” “You love her food,” Mary corrected, and Y/N lifted her shoulders. “That too! Did you get everything I ordered?” She asked, and Mary nodded. She lifted her three bags full of food and handed Y/N the two fullest. “Bon appetite.”
It had been three days since Barry had gotten his fair amount of scolding, and ever hour since he had tried his best figuring out what to tell Y/N. The truth. It’s such a difficult word to work with. he was scared, uncertain, he didn’t know what to think nor do. But what a shitty apology that was. No, the tough part was forming his words. Choosing them, stretching and pulling them, using them to their full potential. And as if anything could get any worse? He had around two days to get through to Y/N.
“Man, just get going, the words will come naturally when you see her,” Cisco said from across the room. He was working on the upgrade of his specs, and Barry walking across the room in his stressed self, wasn’t exactly helping his concentration. “But it needs to be perfect!” Barry was frustrated, why couldn’t this just be easier?! “Sometimes we need to listen to some Hannah Montana and get that nobody’s perfect. Now get out of my workshop and get your girl already,” he sighed. “Your last advice wasn’t exactly your best one, man-” “But this one is, now shoo, you’re distracting me,” he didn’t need to say anything else because Barry kind of knew he just had to do it. ‘Do it romantic. Do it fast. OK, I can do this…’ Barry gave himself a pep talk before he ran out to get the girl.
Three knocks interrupted Y/N’s weeping. She put her ice cream bowl off her tummy, paused ‘Dirty Dancing’ before she managed to waddle her way over to the door. “Barry,” Y/N was in shock. ‘Oh no, now he’s gonna think the tears are because of him. Maybe if I just move a bit more, he will see it’s because of the movie? Ugh, who am I kidding? It is because of him. God, you’re so pathetic Y/N…’ “Y/N,” he said, bur before he could get another word out, Y/N slammed the door shut. ‘WHY DID YOU DO THAT, Y/N? UGH, YOU WANT HIM TO TALK TO YOU!’ Y/N thought, and slammed her head against the door inaudible.
“I won’t leave, Y/N!” She could hear him through the door. ‘Oh lord, he’s shouting…’ “Even though if you will keep the door locked, I won’t leave you! Not again!” Barry was getting louder. ‘Oh no, I have to let him in… Ugh, but I don’t want to, I’m such a mess! But I have to, Mrs. Norman’s soon gonna call the police, oh no, what if she already has?!’ at that thought, Y/N opened her door again. “You have two minutes,” she said, and Barry hurried inside.
“Y/N, I’m sorry,” Barry started, looking deeply into the Y/E/C eyes he loved so much. Though when Y/N didn’t respond him in any verbal way, he continued: “I just got so… so scared and confused. And then the confusion disappeared, and the sadness turned to anger. I was so angry you hadn’t told me and didn’t get why you kept it a secret for so long, I got blind, Y/N. And blind, angry men chose horrible decisions. And mine? That was the most terrible, horrible, wrong thing anyone could ever do. I am so ashamed, so-so embarrassed! The thing I did was the type of thing I hated in the man I thought was the father of your child did – abandon you. So to apologize to you, I give you my word. I give you my promise. I can assure you, that from now on, I will be the most perfect dad there is, and hopefully – if you still want me, I will be the most perfect boyfriend. I will protect you and our beautiful, smart, unborn child, and I will keep you safe all the time, at any cost. And I, Bartholomew Henry Allen, yours forever, always give 110% to hold my promises, and I will give everything to be the man you both deserve.”
At the end of that 2 minute, 34-second long speech, both Y/N and Barry stood there in tears. “Yes,” Y/N said, breaking the silence. “Yes, what?” Barry asked, and Y/N laughed while staring into his eyes. “I still want you,” she barely managed to say the whole sentence as Barry swooped her into his arms and gave her the most passionate kiss Y/N had ever experienced. It was filled with love. It was filled with lust. It was filled with desperation and patience. It was filled with a promise. An unbreakable promise, and two people deeply in love.
ϟϟϟϟϟ
A/N: OK, crappy ending, but IDK anymore, I’ve been up to 3 AM three nights in a row now...  Well I still hope you enjoyed it! AND since it’s summer vay-cay pour moi ATM, I leave for France at Sunday morning, so won’t be that much writing for the upcoming weeks, but I’ll try come up with something for you!

Daddy’s promise 0.1
Request from anon: 083 would be awesome
Category: Pregnancy 083: "I can't be pregnant... or....OH, MY GOD! "
Pairing: Barry Allen x reader  Warnings: Girltalk where the word "sex" is mentioned a couple times (idk if that's a legit warning tho), mild swearing (I think there's like... three curewords or something), and a bit bad writing in the beginning. Words: 3516
A/N: Just thought I'd give you the reason why I didn't post Cinderella part 2: it's pretty much because it's been a while since I wrote last time, and I want the second part to be perfect, AND I didn't have so many ideas – just thought you guys deserved an update quicker...
ϟϟϟϟϟ
When it came to sneaking in after a long night, Y/N Y/L/N wasn’t the best. Was the girl inexperienced? Well, maybe, but she blamed it more on her dominant gene of clumsiness. As expected, the door wasn’t on her side when she tried her best to get into her and Mary's apartment inaudibly.
Squeak! It was moments like these, Y/N regretted not getting their door fixed. Though she excused her laziness with the argument that it was a great (cheap) alternative for an alarm in case of thieves (as if anyone would break the law for her stuff, hah!), it wasn't funny when you tried your best to sneak inside after a long night out.
"Good morning," Mary, Y/N's best friend, and roommate smirked at her, two cups of coffees in her hands.  "We really need to oil those hinges," Y/N tried her best changing the topic, as she took the mug her friend offered her.  "Nice try, go shower and get dressed. You've got a lot to tell me, and I don't want you to be hung over while you're at it," at that moment, Mary was so determined, Y/N didn't dare nor care to tell her she wasn't that hung over.
"You had sex with Barry?! I can't believe it! I mean, you guys are like... the definition of cinnamon buns!" Mary exclaimed in shock. "Ugh, stop it, Mary. Now that I've told you everything about last night-" "He asked you to take som drinks with him and Caitlin, then you just ended up having sex? Who are you?"  "-can you just be the bestest best friend in the world and don't remind me about it for the rest of my life?" Y/N continued as if her friend hadn't just interrupted her, and hid her face in her hands.
"Wait, what? Why? Was he so bad?"   "NO! Jesus, Mary, no, he- he was good... But the sex is not the point!" Y/N shook her head.  "Well then, what's the problem?" "We're friends, and... and... and did you not just hear what's happened?! We had intercourse-" "Don't say intercourse, Y/N/N, it's old and it's weird," Mary interrupted. "Well, we did it-" "You're not five, Y/N, I believe the word you're looking for is-" "Oh my God, Mary, can we just not talk about this?! Please?" Y/n couldn't do this conversation anymore, and with a short "OK" from her noisy friend, Y/N left their living room.
It had been days since her and Mary's conversation about Y/N's wild night with Barry. Luckily for her, Barry was needed in Star City for a week, so the awkward meet was yet to come. Of course, Y/N knew that it had to happen sooner or later, though later had worked out just fine for the past days, hence why she was still rooting for that method – despite Mary's constant nagging.
The morning came quicker than usual as Y/N woke up by the sudden urge to throw up. This confused her, considering Y/N was never sick – well, excluding the days she actually happened to be, of course. So when she found herself hanging over the toilet, she couldn't help being both frustrated as well as disgusted.
"Y/N, are you ok?" Mary's voice came from the other side of the locked bathroom door. Y/N never locked the bathroom door – she feared she would get shut in and stuck during a fire – which happened more often than you would think (let's just say that Mary wasn't the best at cooking, or with fires). "Uhm... yeah, just-" She was interrupted by a second and hopefully last round of vomit. "Y/N?" "Yeah, I'm fine, just a sec, Mary!" Y/N was panicking. Y/N was throwing up. Y/N never threw up. "Y/N Y/L/N, I demand you to open this door before I get creepy Jack  down the hall to kick this door open for me!" And that's how Y/N got herself in lockdown.
It was never fun to be at home, sick. Especially when one wasn't sick, but one's crazy overprotective roommate and best friend forced one to stay home because one acted a bit off and looked a bit pale in the morning. Y/N was currently in this situation. She didn't like it. At the moment she was walking around their apartment, feeling 100% good to go to work. "You look terrible today as well, Y/N, you're not going anywhere. I'm telling Mrs. Norman, so if I get a phone call that your toe has even touched the air of the other side of that door, you'll be dead," Mary had told her.
This was it, the last drop, she was done, finished, finito with staying home any longer. Y/N had just finished her third film of the day, and just laying there was getting her a migraine. 'OK, I'm going out! I'm a grown woman! A big girl, an independent girl! I can do whatever I want to! My best friend can't make me stay at home!' Y/N went for her purse and was ready to walk out the door, but as if Mary could read minds, Y/N's phone rung. "Hello?" Y/N sounded as chirpy as she could, feeling nervous as hell. "Hey, Y/N! Just wanted to make sure you haven't left!" Mary knew her better than anyone, and it was almost scaring Y/N a bit. Almost.
Three knocks on the door followed by the sound of a pair of keys, and then the door opened. The familiar squeak made its way to Y/N's ears as she laid on her bed in misery. "Hey, Y/N, are you alright?" It was Barry. 'Barry? Is he back home?' Y/N tried not to let her panic take overhand. Anger suddenly washed over her, if this was Mary's work, a certain brunette would be in deep trouble when she came back from work...
"Hey, I uh... I brought flowers," Barry's voice could be heard from the living room, and Y/N's mind was twisting and turning: Should she go on and play sick? It would certainly delay the awkward conversation that was bound to happen... Deciding it was her best option at the time, Y/N made out a weak cough, and answered her friend: "In here, Barry!" as sickly she could manage.
"Hi, how're you feeling?" Barry stepped inside carefully, as if the floor would cause her more pain.  "I'm ok, my head hurts a bit, and I'm a bit nauseous," Y/N thought that her breasts being tender were a fact she didn't have to share. "Uhm..." looking as Barry's ears had just turned tomato red, Y/N scolded herself for saying her thoughts out loud.
"Mary told you to come here?" Y/N tried her best changing the subject quickly as well as keeping her act.  "Uhm, no, heard it from Caitlin actually. She was.. uh... on the phone with Mary I think. She, uhm, she's a loud talker," "Caitlin or Mary?" "Both," the two laughed, Y/N throwing in a couple of coughs. When the laughing calmed down, and the tension started to grow, it was as if her guardian angel saved her, and Barry's phone rung. "Uhm, sorry, I have to go, Captain Singh needs me at the office..." "Yeah, of course, you just go and save the city by stirring in chemicals," her good-bye made him laugh as he made his way out the door in a hurry.
"Y/N?" Mary asked. They were currently sitting on the couch, eating pizza and watching How I Met Your Mother.  "Yeah?" "Pee on this for me, will you? I think you're pregnant," the brunette said, throwing a box at Y/N – who were almost choking on her food. "Excuse me?!"  "Just do it, it won't hurt, and you've been feeling bad for days. Now be quick and get it done already before I eat this up,"
"This is stupid," Y/N said. It turned out that Mary had seen the episode airing on TV "a thousand times", so they were now hovering over the white stick somewhat curious and excited. "Because I can't be pregnant... OH, MY GOD!” Y/N couldn’t believe it. It said positively. "Is it Barry's?" Mary broke the silence "What?!" "Well, you're obviously not Mother Teresa, and you're not the one to sleep around; I mean, I'm just tying up the loose ends..." "Oh my God, Mary, can we just not talk about this?! Please?" Y/N was still trying to cope with the fact that a living creature was growing inside her vagina. "Yeah, yeah of course..." And the night continued, Mary planning out how she would be the cool aunt of the unborn baby, and Y/N denying the scary fact that she would become a mother in roughly nine months.
"You need to tell him, Y/N," Mary said, looking at her best friend while trying her best not to tick off the ice cream-eating bipolar monster. 'I thought we agreed not to talk about this,'  Was what Y/N wanted and meant to say, though because of the piece of heaven that was melting inside her mouth, it rather came out sounding more like: "Eh ohuph uh a-edh umph uh ahk a-ou es!" Mary, on the other hand, managed to translate the faded message by the clear look in Y/N's eyes. "That was three weeks ago,"  "Ugh!!" And the monster sunk her head in the pillows surrounding her, letting out a loud cry of frustration.
"What about Coby?" Y/N asked her friend.  "Because Cody is too common for you?" Mary answered, still skimming through her magazine in the other end of the sofa.  "I don't know, he just feels like a Coby," Y/N answered, looking down at er stomach – if she really just concentrated hard enough, she could see the little bump forming. "Yeah, you've just begun the first trimester, so sorry hun, but the kiddo doesn't even have a face, let alone a pair of good functionating lungs,"  "You're right, but what about Bia? Or Dory? What do you think about those?" Y/N asked, and at this, Mary set her Vouge away and looked her friend straight in the eyes.
"I think that if you want to name your child after a Pixar/Disney-cartoon fish, you better talk to the daddy..." "Yeah, Dory was a bit too creative maybe... How about Elza? Elza is cool, or Logan? He was always my favorite. Though Jess was also-" Y/N's attempt on ignoring her friend's change of topic failed hard when Mary interrupted her. "Y/N this is getting serious. You haven't even hung out with Barry much for the past weeks. Remember when you two couldn't stay away from each other for more than six hours? I remember that very well. I also remember him being your number one topic to talk about 24/7,"
She was right. Mary was right and Y/N knew it, though she couldn't help it! All she could think of when picturing their first real talk since the one four weeks ago was BABYBABYBABY. Imagine how stressed he would be? He made one mistake, and now he was forced into a huge commitment. In addition to that, this was not what Y/N wanted herself. She wanted to get kids with the man in her life. And currently, that was her dad, considering her status on Facebook was still remaining 'single'.
"But how Mary? How do I confront him with this? He's going to be a dad! And when I tell him, he will have two options: A, to agree to all terms and conditions, to become a dad and parent with me, or he can B, politely decline and leave my life forever! Mary, I can't bear a life without him!" She hadn't even realized the tears running down her cheeks before now.  "He won't leave you, do you hear me? He will never ever leave you," Mary tried her best reassuring her friend, patting Y/Non the head while whispering soft comforting words.
"You know, having a pregnant roommate is way more expensive than you would think," Mary came in the door with four bags full of food. "Yeah, yeah, where's the pickles?" Y/N asked frantically, to which Mary gave her one of the bags. "I mean, not only does it drench your wallet, but also your mentality. Here you go by the way, bought eleven jars, just for you," Y/N went for it, and opened the first one in sight. But just as she was about to open the lid and down all of the juice like she had done for the now empty seven jars in their fridge, she stopped. "Yuck, how disgusting is this? Do we have any chocolate?"  “Like I said, drenching my wallet and mentality...” Mary said looking up to the roof, shaking her head.
Y/N was currently in her thirteenth week, and her clothing style had changed drastically for a couple of weeks. 'They are meant for comfort and coverage,' she had told Mary when her friend had commented that she couldn't leave the apartment in 'the biggest sweatshirt in the building' and her pajama pants. So you could imagine Barry's shock when he not only saw his once best friend and crush clothed in uncharacteristically clothing but also for the first time in months. How Y/N had managed to avoid him for that long?
Y/N laid in her bed, computer on her lap, popcorn within her hand's reach, and sipping on a coke. Her mind was parallelled set on the kittens in the video she was watching, and how cool it would be when her stomach finally would grow to a proper, usable size AKA when she could drop the coffee table in the living room, and do a Phoebe Buffay.
Interrupting her thoughts, her phone started ringing, leaving her annoyed as she had to pause her YouTube-watching. "Hello?" She said unaware of whom it wa son the other side of the line.  "Hey Y/N/N, just wondering where you-" It wasBarry. Her Barry. What was she to do?! "Sorry, wrong number," Y/N said in the deepest voice she could muster, as she quickly hung up on the poor, oblivion guy.
Though that wasn’t it, Y/N really was creative with her avoiding methods. She needed to go to the store? She asked Mary. Mary said no? She asked Mrs. Norman. Mary figured that out, got mad at her, and told Mrs. Norman not to worry about it? Y/N asked creepy Jack down the hall, whom she knew Mary wouldn’t dare to talk to. But how about her job? In addition to having a feminist extremist as a boss, Y/N was a writer for a magazine. So simply explaining her situation, adding a couple of white lies, and finishing with a strong apology with a touch of ‘I promise to work twice as hard at home,’ Y/N was off the hook.
But just as any hormonal pregnant woman, Y/N got enough of her hiding – it should be him hiding, not her! To this Mary had told her that Barry didn’t have the knowledge to why he had to hide (which apparently, Mary didn’t have either) and she was being ‘irrational and not herself,’ which Y/N obviously ignored. Hence why she left their home to get the right chocolate milk, because creepy Jack simply didn’t do the job properly.
"Y/N? Is that you?" Barry couldn't be too careful when it came to assuming  – let's just say this wasn't the first time he had "seen"  Y/N in public. Though at the mention of her name, Y/N turned to see who had said her name. Her eyes locked into his for mere seconds before Y/N turned away in hope her invisibility powers would quickly appear and hide her. Such a pity Y/N wasn't a meta...
"It is you!" Barry jogged up to her. Great, what was she to do now?  "Hi...!"  Y/N answered back, holding her basket with milk in a tight grip. "How've you been? I haven't heard anything from you for so long..." Barry said, just standing there in front of the girl he loved.  "Uhm, a bit ill actually... Yeah, that's why I haven't had the time to hang out," quite happy about her explanation, Y/N stood there ready to go.
"For three months?" Barry asked, not completely convinced. "Yeah," Y/n faked a cough, "really bad flu,"  "I see, well, do you want to grab dinner Friday?" "Friday? As in now Friday? in three days?" Barry nodded, and Y/N shut her eyes as if she had to think of her plans for the rest of the week.  'Should I say yes? It would be quite suspicious if I told him no... But he will know! On the other hand, Big Belly Burger does sound tempting...' "Big Belly Burger?" Y/N asked with a smile on her face, which Barry gladly returned. "Yeah! Good, I'll pick you up at six," Barry winked at her, then left. 'What have I gotten myself into?'
"This is good, Y/N! Now you can finally tell him!" Mary said, proud of the maturity her friend was showing. "Telling him? Are you kidding, I'm not gonna tell him anything! We're just grabbing some burgers..." Y/N defended herself. Wouldn't that be scandalous, her telling him? He would flee the country to just get away from her. "You're not serious now, are you?" When Y/N didn't answer her, Mary took a deep sigh. "You are aware of that you're pushing him away from you, right? Because that's why you don't want to tell him because you don't want to lose him? So I'd use some more time to think before you just go on your date-" "It's not a date!" "- later today, and keep your secret safe," Mary finished and left the room for Y/N to remake her decision.
It had taken her blood, sweat, and tears – literally, but Mary finally made Y/N agree to tell Barry about her pregnancy. But after a brutal paper cut, an intense discussion, and while following the DVD-aerobic-instructor, Mary argued her way to victory, Y/N left their apartment in defeat.
Walking next to Barry, Y/N started to regret her choice of clothes – no scratch that, Mary's choice of clothes. Because Y/N was supposed to tell Barry she was pregnant anyway, and 'It's a date for fuck's sake, and you like him, you might as well dress proper!' So there she was. Next to the guy she loved, feeling more insecure about her body as ever, in hope Barry hadn't noticed. And even though he didn't show it, Barry did notice. But the thought of her being pregnant? That hadn't nor ever would've crossed his mind.
"God, I'm hungry... Haven't eaten since lunch, how 'bout you?" Barry asked, not really sure of what to say. The conversation usually came naturally between the two of them. "Starving," Y/N said, but kept out the fact that she ate an hour ago. "I could seriously eat a horse, or maybe even the whole team, when I think of it," she finished, and made Barry laugh.  "A whole team of horses?" He asked with a smile, to which Y/N chortled at. "Yes!"  "I don't believe you..." Barry said playfully, loving the feeling of the normality between him and the Y/H/C girl.  "Bartholomew Henry Allen, you've officially been challenged to a duel," Y/N said in the stiffest voice she could muster.  "A burger-eating contest?" "Well, if you want it to sound dull, so yeah..."
“Oh Holy Moses...” Y/N sighed and rubbed her stomach. In front of her was a grinning Barry Allen, and five un-eaten 500g-Double cheese-bacon-burger with sweet potato fries. "Told you you'd lose, though I'm impressed, not many can keep up with a speedster," "Trust me, it's not that difficult when you're eating for two!" Y/N said with a laugh, but it quickly stopped when she saw the look on his face. It was a good mixture of shock... shock... and more... shock.
"Uhm... Uh... yeah, I'm uh... I'm pregnant... Sur-surprise?" Y/N had never been this nervous ever.  "You're pregnant?" Barry couldn't believe it. Who was the father? For how many months? Why hadn't she told him before? Was this the reason she hadn't talked to him for so long? However, he decided to keep those questions for himself, afraid of the answers – especially the first one, hadn't he meant anything for her?  "Uhm, yeah... Due date's 4th of April,"
"Who knows?" He asked again, "... is the father aware?" He finished. "Mary and you are the only ones. Mom and dad are kind of still in the dark..." Y/N felt ashamed saying it out loud.  "Ok, well, how are you feeling about it?" He asked, his concern warming Y/N's heart. She was so sure this would have ended completely different – hell she had cut off all contact for three months, and she'd continued if it hadn't been for their random encounter at the supermarket.  "It was hard to cope with in the beginning, though I've grown fond of the little creature,"  "I just want you to know that I'm not leaving your side anytime from this moment, Y/N. You're stuck with me, and there's nothing you can do about it."

Please read and understand my misery
Hey guys, it's been an awful lot of these kinds of posts lately, and I feel like rubbish! You see, the twenty four hours I get every day are simply not enough... I'm in my year's yearbook committee, nothing is complete, we're ten girls (about five of us work), and the due date is next Tuesday. In addition to that, I also have three super super super important tests coming up the seventh and ninth... BUT I will try my best writing on a draft here when possible, so I MAYBE can get a more interesting piece done and out for you Sunday eleventh:***

Barry when...
You get back to Central city
Tumblr media
The fact that you couldn’t stay in Central anymore, was not foreign to anyone. When the time of your departure came to a halt, everyone was sad. Though out of them all, Barry and yourself were the ones struggling the most.
The days after you leaving town went gray for Barry: It was as if you had taken all color with you when you left. This caused his depression, which he dealt with by holding everyone an arm's length away at all times, and his Flash duties taking over his life as well as his job in CCPD. The planned FaceTimes and calls had reduced because of all the increased work you both had gotten. However, Barry would always keep you his first priority.
The first couple of weeks, the first couple of months, team Flash sort of accepted his deal with the grief, though at the moment – thanks to Barry, anyone of them could confidently tell whoever that it had been 276 days of you gone. In desperation of getting their friend out of his misery, they decided to let you out of the dark – even though how difficult it would be for you. Moving away and keeping yourself apart from Central was equally tough for you, so getting this information made it even harder – which is why you moved back.
It had been a tiresome, and long day at both offices; Barry was ready for bed. Therefore, walking into his apartment (half asleep), the word “hey” left his lips before he could process what he was seeing: You. You on the couch. The coffee table set, and a bag from Belly Burgers resting on top of it.  “Some birds have told me you’re not good living on your own, Barr,” you said. It was now Barry finally awakened.  “You’re back?!”
A/N: So many of you have requested a part two of “His Cinderella”, which is great! I really loved writing it, though I need some help from you guys with ideas of what can happen – do you have any thoughts of a possible antagonist? Please send in so I can get to work faster:**

His Cinderella
Summary: On the run from a crazy ex, Y/N runs up and kisses this random yet handsome guy. Oblivious to the fact that she's capturing her greatest hero, The Flash's mind, she goes on with her life. Though what happens on their next meet? Will Prince charming finally find his Cinderella?
Category: Falling in love 030: "Can I kiss you?"
Pairing: Barry Allen x doctor!reader Words: 3155 Warning: none that I'm aware of... I used the word hell?
A/N: So just found out I’m gonna do my English exam next Friday. For both practice and pleasing you lovelies, I thought I’d try to write even more this upcoming week – though I’m not sure how this brilliant win/win idea will work out IRL, so don’t hold your breaths...:/
ϟϟϟϟϟ
“Can I kiss you?!” A girl popped up in front of Barry. She was out of breath, her forehead shining from the sweat after a what-seemed-like-a long run. Just when Barry was about to answer, her lips met his. If it hadn't been for the fact that she had taken him by surprise, he would have noticed so much more about her. Like the way her eyes sparkled when their gazes met, the way her hair seemed to perfectly frame her head, the way her chapped lips glowed in the daylight.
But she did take him by surprise, and all he could think of, were how those chapped, yet soft lips felt against his. It wasn't an ordinary setting for Barry (to have random girls coming up kissing him). Though for some reason, it felt natural. So he closed his eyes and started kissing back – a very un-Barry and bold move, that he instantly regretted when the warm feeling disappeared not long after.
"Thanks! You're a real hero!" It was just by pure luck, that Barry managed to get a slightly better look at her before she ran. The last thing he saw being a pair of red cheeks and Y/E/C eyes. It certainly was a way to brighten up his day – who wouldn't have liked to get kissed by a girl? Though at the same time, Barry still felt something fishy about what had just happened, and he was dying to know why the sudden urge for the beautiful girl to kiss him: it wasn't like that happened on a daily basis in Central City.
"Wow, what happened to you?" Iris's question shook Barry out of his thoughts. He smiled at her, and said: "What do you mean?" "Well, by the grin on your face, I'd guess you just met your soulmate," he hadn't even noticed. However, merely seconds later, Barry could sense an ache in his cheeks. "Who knows? Maybe I just did?" His clever smirk made wheels inside his best friend's head turning. 'What the hell did he mean by that?'
It had been weeks since the mystery girl had kissed Barry. Thoughts like: 'Who is she?', 'Is she alright?', 'Where is she now? Does she remember me?', 'Will she be here today? Am I unconsciously walking right next to her right now?', and 'Is that her?', had been roaming through Barry's mind, and was currently distracting him. "Ooh!" Oliver's punch hit him hard, though Barry knew he kind of deserved it – needed it as well.
"Come on, Barry! You need to be focused! That's the reason you're here in the first place!" Green Arrow was right. Through the last couple of weeks, The Flash's problem of getting distracted had gotten big spots in the papers. He simply could not help it though, it was that girl. Whatever he would do to get her out of his head, it just wouldn't do. As if Cisco had read his mind, the latino spoke up: "Barr, you need to get Cinderella out of your head!" Of course, Barry had told Cisco, but at the confused look on the whole team Arrows' faces, it seemed like the speedster had to tell the rest how he had met his mystery girl.
"I really can't forget about her," Barry finished with an almost dramatic sigh. Furthermore, Cisco and Caitlin explained the poor consequences of Barry's "lovesick" state (to which Barry strongly disagreed, and corrected them with that he was "just curious, it was so random!" He had said). "What if she's the one needing saving next time, Barry? What are you going to do then?! Because what you're doing now? That can't continue because your city is depending on you!"
Oliver's short lecture made Barry snap for some reason. Didn't he think Barry already knew that? That the fact that this girl was affecting his efficiency and job? And that it drove Barry insane, not knowing what to do when he saw people barely surviving because he wasn't there 100 percent? So he said just that to the green man, telling him exactly what he meant. "Barry, you need to understand that this isn't high school, you have got to keep trying getting her out of your head. This isn't Football scouts you're trying to impress to get into a good college; This is real lives you're saving, and that girl is not helping you with that,"
"I swear it was just like in a movie," Y/N's best friend, Sophie, exclaimed to their other best friend. "Soph, you weren't even there, and I had to do something to get away from Mike!" A part of Y/N was getting tired of her friend's obsession with what she had done weeks ago. It was a bold move. Maybe the boldest one she had made ever: She had run up to a complete stranger – a handsome guy if that made any difference, and kissed him.
"It was just like self-defence," Y/N continued, wrapping her stuff up before the librarian could come and shush them once again. "I get that Mike was a bit crazy, but I can't believe you went so far!" "Soph, he bought her a cat and raged when she said she was allergic," Bobby defended Y/N, reminding her why she liked him more than the girl sitting opposite of them.
"OK, so he was insane, but I just can't get away from the fact that Y/N Y/L/N simply ran up to a guy and just kissed him! He was handsome as well!" It was kind of interesting though, Y/N had to agree. Her plain old self-had gotten a little touch of excitement, and she couldn't deny that she liked what had happened. "Aren't I handsome enough for ya?" Now was her time to leave. Leave before the two started their usual flirt-off.
"Of course, but this guy? He was the perfect guy for Y/N," Sophie continued, and Yn wasn't quite sure anymore if she wanted to hear the rest of this. Though she also knew that if she spent more time at this table, Mrs. Grey was going to associate her with the girl that had gotten banned from all the other libraries in the city – AKA Y/n would have to go to Starling.
"OK, I'm gonna go now before this develops, I have to get going if I want to get to the bank before they close anyway," it was kind of true. All of them knew she didn't exactly have to go but they went along with it even so. "But we'll see you later, right?" Sophie asked, changing the subject to something more serious. "Sorry, promised the other I would do some research with the others," Y/N made an apologetic grimace as she turned down their monthly game night. "I swear, your Flash-obsession will drive our friendship apart!" Bobby exclaimed before Y/N left the building.
The clear blue sky was getting covered up with gray clouds, making Y/N sigh. Of course, it would be raining the one day she didn't bring an umbrella. 'Better walk fast then,' she thought, pacing over to the bank. How did she always had to be so unlucky? Wasn't it enough that she had a cursed love life? Did she have to be both wet and miserable? Y/N could now see the big building, and without a further thought, she ran inside.
Y/N had just managed to take a deep breath before she heard it. The silence. That type of silence which made the hairs on your body raise. She looked around and took in the scene of what was going on. All the people were crouching on the ground, protecting themselves from the man dressed in black. The man with a big bag and a gun, which was currently pointing at another man dressed in a crimson suit. 'The Flash,' Y/N was star struck, but not for long. The second everyone could hear Y/N, all of the eyes were set on her – Flash included. It took Y/N mere seconds to understand what was happening. And just before the robber did it, she screamed. "No!!" But it was already too late, the bullet had hit her hero.
When Barry opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the unfamiliar roof above him. In any other case, the roof wouldn't be the first thing he'd notice at strange places, though when laying down, it wasn't many other places than upwards to see. Laying on an equally new, yet comfortable couch, everything came back to him: How he had sped off to the bank because of a robbery, how he had been taken by surprise by a girl, and then gotten shot. 'Wait, a girl?' Barry did his best trying to remember how she looked. Could it have been her?
"Ralph, I'm sorry, but something came up!" A female voice shook him out of his thoughts. "No, I'm not quitting on you guys, it's just that this is a bit more important than Flashsearching... That's not disrespectful! I dig being with you guys, seriously... Yes... OK, hood, I'll see you guys tomorrow... Yeah... Yeah, ok, ok bye, bye," it was as if she'd heard that voice before, though his ponder immediately stopped when the word “Flashsearching” appeared. Barry was starting to sweat: had he gotten himself into a crazy gal’s home? Realization hit him hard, and he went to touch his face in a haste. A relieving sigh left his lips when he felt the familiar leather mask. So his identity was still a secret (which was good because Barry was slightly afraid of what Ralph would have done if he had gotten it).
Sitting up on the couch, Barry started observing the hostess's apartment. It was surprisingly messy: Books were stabled up as small tables, papers were occupying all of the tables as well as other opened books; plants in every size possibly as well as a huge map covering an entire wall. 'Wow... Some girl...' And then she appeared by the doorframe in front of him.
"Are you joking? Well, you've clearly not attended med school..." The girl walked over to him, and Barry winced while sitting straighter up, displeasing the Y/H/C girl. "You need to lay down, metahuman or not, you got shot today," her hands went to Barry's shoulders as she guided him back down to his former position. He couldn't help but get mesmerized by the beauty in front of him. Her kind eyes that sparkled in the yellow light, her perfectly imperfect lips, and the constant glow of her skin. She wasn't the picture perfect beautiful girl. She was breathtaking.
"Well, you're probably confused- of course you're confused, you passed out and now you're in a stranger's apartment with a rambler that just can't shut up and get to the point. That's what my friends and family describe me as at least, but I'm not so sure on the using-to-much-time-before-getting-to-the-point part. I think I'm rather good with backstory. You know how hard it is to get something when not having the backstory – which is something I also do sometimes, but that's not important. Wait, what were we talking about again?" Barry smiled at her nervous laugh. She was quite adorable with her brows furrowed.
"Oh I'm sorry, my name's Y/N Y/L/N! My brain sort of stops functionating at times when meeting superheroes... Anyway, the bank is not far away from here, so I managed to get you here after the shooting – that's four hours ago by the way. After that I managed to find out how to get that bullet out of you," Y/N's deep Y/E/C eyes drifted to the table where one bloody book was laying open, parts of a bullet next to it as well as a tweezer. Barry looked down at his now hurting torso, seeing the reason to why he was a bit cold: she had ripped his suit open (Barry could almost hear Cisco's upcoming frustration), and wrapped around him was a bloody bandage.
Y/n saw Barry's eyes fixing on her masterwork, 'Oh shit I ruined his suit...' She must have said it out loud, based on The Flash's laugh, which made her cheeks tint. "It's alright, don't sweat it, I've done the same with a poorer excuse," it was weird hearing a normal voice coming out of his mouth. "So I don't know you, then," Y/N said before thinking straight. "And what makes you think that?" Flash had this lure smile plastered on his lips, and Y/N barely got to answer him quickly: "Because you're not using your vibrating voice," it was her time to smirk, but her little victory didn't last long because before she knew it, her ringtone went off.
"Sophie?" Now knowing Y/N wasn't crazy, Barry restarted his pondering on where he had heard her voice before. "He called you? But Ralph seemed ok when I hung up on... No, Soph, I'm not secretly dating any prince... No, I'm not on a date with a regular guy either... Well, because something came up!..." Barry couldn't hear what this 'Sophie' was saying to Y/N, but when the girl's eyes met his, he understood she was finding it difficult answering the drill of questions that was getting thrown at her.  "OK, can't we just reschedule?... I'm sure you and Bobby will figure something out, you're pretty much boyfriend and girlfriend... can I hung up on you now?" At her last sentence, it was as if Barry had gotten an adrenaline-shot: It was her! The girl!
Y/N said her goodbyes to her friend and turned to look at the shocked guy on her couch.  "That was just Sophie, asking where I was since I wasn't with Ralph whom still is mad about me not Flashsearching with him and the rest - Oh God no, that came out wrong. It's just this nerdy word the other guys came up with for researching about you... You know what? I'm just going to stop now before I make myself look like a stalker to you – which I'm not, by the way, just fascinated," Y/N's ramble normally got its time to shine during three occasions: when she was nervous, when it was too silent, and when she didn't know what to do. At the moment, all those things seemed to happen.
"And by fascinated, I mean just you and your powers in general. As well as why you're the only good one out there yet and everything- Wow we need to change that bandage of yours, I'll go get the essentials," and then the girl fled the room. Barry now got time to think. He had met her. This was what he had been wishing for so long, but what now? This part was something he hadn't given much thought – scratch that, he hadn't given it any thoughts. And it wasn't like she recognized him. Hell, Barry didn't even know if she felt the same way about him!
"Found it! Now, I left the gloves here, let's see..." Y/N was back, a roll of bandages in her left hand, the other occupied by searching through the overwhelmed dining table. "OK, let's do this, now you being awake will be a bit easier, so if you could just... Ah yes, now look at you! It almost seems like you've done this before!" Her enthusiasm made Barry's grin reappear for what felt like being the fifth time.  "Oh, and I know what I'm doing, by the way, I'm a med student. Pretty phony to say, but I know I'd be terrified if a stranger had played operation on me..." She looked up for the first time and er eyes locked with Barry's.
"And by the way, just to emphasize the fact that I'm not a crazy fan, no, I don't have any blood samples from you in the kitchen that I plan to test and leak your true identity with," the two of them smiled at each other, Y/N because she was joking, Barry because he couldn't stop. "No but seriously though, I hope you understand I'm not mad or anything. Looking back at the conversations you've probably overheard, I can see why it's hard not to- it's gone!" Y/N's shock when seeing Barry's wound gone – there were absolutely no traces of it being there in the first place, made him make up his mind.
Barry's hands slowly went up to his face and removed his mask. Now when Y/N went to look at the speedster yet again, the words of enthusiasm got stuck in her throat.  "Can I kiss you?" Barry asked, Y/N still startled at The Flash's true identity.  "It's you-" she didn't get to cope with what was happening before Barry took a leap of faith when diving in to kiss her. Looked like faith was on his side when he felt Y/N Y/N, the girl, kiss him back seconds later.

A/N: Sorry if this got a little over the top dramatic at times, just watched Singin' in the rain, so I'm blaming the overdramatic 50s influencing me! AND if requested, I think I can make this a second part;)))

A/N: Don’t remember who requested this..:/ But if you’re reading this, and you wanna be tagged, DM me;) AND just a little FYI: This will be a little mix with falling in love and living together B) LASTLY, an anon wanted to get Barry’s reaction when reader called him baby Barr, well here ya go;))
ϟϟϟϟϟ
‘I swear to God if they don’t stop soon…’ Y/N walked around in her apartment. She still couldn’t wrap her mind around the fact that the time was 2:30 AM, and she wasn’t in bed yet: Because of the loud thumps coming from upstairs, she had given up on sleeping a long time ago.   “You’re frickin’ eight years old, why aren’t you asleep yet!” The cereal in her mouth caused her to spit milk while letting her frustration out. Unfortunately, it also woke Y/N’s roommate up, who joined her party seconds later.
“Why are you yelling this early, Y/N?” Barry’s bed hair worsened when he raised his hand to ruffle it more up. If it wasn’t for the fact that Y/N had gotten used to weak knees for seeing Barry all the time, her jelly-legs would have collapsed right then and there. “Why am I yelling? Why are those kids ruining my- no, go get your own!” She had to interrupt herself to prevent Barry from eating her food. “They are two years younger than us, Y/N,» It was as if he knew he was provoking her – Barry and his never-ending logic. "Wow, some party going on up there,” Barry continued, making Y/N sigh in frustration.  “Oh is it? I didn’t know!!” The last part directed to the ceiling made Barry laugh. “You think this is funny?!”
“A bit,” he said, taking his own spoon full of cereals in his mouth, looking at Y/N. Not many guys his age could count themselves lucky to live with their crush and see them both at their best and worst times. Strange thing is that for Barry, there really weren’t any bad ones when it came to Y/N. He simply liked everything about her. From her grumpy mood in the mornings to her ecstatic self when talking about her biggest passion – his favorite moments being when she would show him cute videos of baby animals.
“Whooo!!” “What are they even doing up there?! Who can be this happy this late at a Wednesday!?” Barry was starting to like this more and more, his on growing smile made Y/N snap: “Stop being so sadistic, will you? Tomorrow is important! I need my beauty sleep, and I need to be focused on important days!” “You don’t need beauty sleep,” “Well of course I do! Kids will be fleeing the streets by the look of me!” Barry shook his head at Y/N’s nonsense. “Rock Paper Scissors to see who has to go talk to the neighbors upstairs for being too loud,”  “What?” Barry hopped off the counter he had been seated on for their whole chat and walked over to his confused roommate.
“Well, your lack of sleep is making you delusional, so we need to shut the kids up, now shall mommy or daddy do that,” he made a fist, preparing, though by the look on Y/N’s face, he continued with a smile: “Well, you clearly don’t want to do it, considering you haven’t walked up there yet, and I’m not exactly decently dressed…” He referred to his uncovered torso and bare legs. “Alright,” Y/N laughed, “but get ready to throw on some clothes, Flash,”
“I don’t want to do this. I don’t, and this is unfair, they woke me first!” Y/N lost against her metahuman crush. “Now, come on, be the good, big girl I know you are,” Barry nudged into Y/N with that little spark in his eyes she could die for. Changing the subject, Y/N instantly nudged a bit harder in a jokingly matter.  “Are you calling me fat?!” Taking her by surprise, Barry embraced Y/N in a hug before she could get away from him. His chin rested on her head while chills were running down Y/N’s back as she felt each breath he took as his chest moved. “You know that’s not true, Y/N/N,”
“Please, baby Barr, come and join me at least?” Barry’s body seemed to stiffen for a couple of seconds. “Uh-uhm, s-sure,” When his cool took its break, Y/N decided to be the bold one, and turned around to face the boy she had grown to love so much. “Well let’s go then, speedster, so we soon can get to bed already,” it didn’t take long for Y/N’s smirk to falter when she realized what she had just said. So turning around in her walk towards the door, her cheeks had changed their color to a more red tone. “Uhm, well, uh- you know what I meant,” Barry just laughed it off, and followed his girl out the door. It was time to play family. Though he didn't know this would just be the very first of the many rest to come.
ϟϟϟϟϟ
A/N: I know it's a crappy ending, and you don't deserve crappy endings – especially since y'all have been so patient with me being just horribly inactive!! Well, exams are starting next week, but I'll see what I can do untill then;)

Barry when...
He forgets your date. Again.
Tumblr media
It wasn’t like this was the first time it ever happened: Barry forgetting your plans. But you couldn’t really blame him either. With Flash-duties (which were more difficult than ever before) as well with his daytime work at CCPD, mixed with your relationship – it would naturally be difficult to balance it all and remember everything! So when the all too familiar scene happened yet again, it went as following:
After waiting for five minutes at yours and Barry’s decided meet-up, you knew he’d forgotten. So there you were, in the elevator up to his floor, with a smirk planted on your face. Once the doors opened, you caught your brunette talking with Joe. It took mere seconds before your father-in-law had spotted you in your cocktail dress, and nudged at Barry.  “Thought I’d find you here...” You said, stepping closer to the two of them. “Oh shit..!” Based on Barry’s expression you didn’t need to tell him you two were late to your grandmother at 80′s birthday party.
A/N: I don’t know if I’ll be able to post anything more today, but I’ll try!

Ain’t no prince waiting for me
Soulmate AU Pairing: Barry Allen x reader
Summary: In spite of her tattoo, Y/N Y/L/N has given up this soulmate thing. She simply doesn’t believe it, she’s convinced that she’s doomed to never find her true love. But will an unfortunate event change that?
Warning: Eddie’s still alive!! He’s not going to die in my AU either;))
A/N: OK, so I have always wanted to do a soulmate-AU, I simply find the clichés adorable! In this one, the soulmate thing is the partner’s first words the first time they meet each other, but hey! If you liked this, and want m to make another soulmate-imagine, send me your idea! Enjoy:))
ϟϟϟϟϟ
“I’m telling you, Blaise, I just don’t believe in it!” Y/N was yet again arguing with her best friend about the idiotic soulmate thing.  “How can you not believe in it? This is how life works, how God have made it easier for us to find one another!” It was almost pointless to continue. The two had two completely different ideologies. Blaise: the girl who believed in fate, in God, in the stupid tattoos. And then there was Y/N: the one that believed in science, in random happenings and that were convinced she would die alone.
“You will never understand, B, I will never have what you and Hunter have,” this provoked Blaise, how could her almost perfect, best friend think so little of herself? “Of course you will, your wrist is proof of that, now stop the bullshit talk, Y/N,” her tone short and sharp.  “But Blaise, I swear I’m cursed or something! My younger siblings have met their partners, my whole family has always found their soulmates at a young age. All of my friends have their partners, heck you and Hunter have a kid, Blaise!”
“You’re not cursed, Y/N,” “Just look at this Blaise, it’s pure evil, my tattoo says ‘wow’! That can be anyone, it can be a creep, a jackass, it can be any guy on the planet!” “You need to stop being so pessimistic, Y/N, it doesn’t suit you,” Blaise kept her mouth in a thin line. “The complex is weird and unnatural,” “You can’t just say that!” “Watch me!” Y/N challenged, and shouted at the top of her lungs, which made Blaise just want to disappear. So she dragged her friend through the park. “Don’t wake Amos, Y/N,” she excused, and their discussion stopped there, the next talking-topic being how Y/N was doing at work.
“It’s so cool,” “It’s not that cool, Cisco,” Barry chuckled. His friend, teammate, and colleague had not stopped looking at his wrist in awe. “But it is! I mean, come on! The damsel falling in love with her hero – it’s a classic!” Cisco referred to the words ‘Holy crap, it’s him!’ “You know, it can also just be a girl that doesn’t like me or something, or-“ "Nope, this right here, my man, is a line said in adoration,” Cisco patted Barry’s back, and they went back to their work.
Y/N sat on the Haydens’ couch as her friend walked around her apartment. “He gets to bed at-” “Seven, you know Blaise, I have babysitted Seany before, I know the drill: Dinner’s at 5, so that’s out of the way, if he’s hungry I can give him some fruits, bedtime’s at seven, but it’s no crisis if it gets closer to eight, and there’s food for me in the fridge for me to take whenever I want. I’m not the teenager neighbor you had to book last minute, B,” It was Blaise and Hunter’s date night, and as usual Y/N was there to babysit 'lil Sean.
“Of course, of course! I’m so sorry, just a bit nervous,” Y/N rolled her eyes at her friend, this was what happened each time, and Blaise would always start excusing herself for not 'trusting you enough’. This time, the difference was that Y/N managed to make that part take less time, and she pushed her almost hyperventilating best friend out the door to her husband.
“…And the Flash saves the day yet again,” Y/N closed her laptop and looked over to the other end of the couch, where the Flash’s biggest fan of the age of 3 laid with a clear view to her feet. “Kiddo, that was the last article, sorry bud,” “Have you checked Iris West?” What that still amazed Y/N about Sean, was that in spite of his lack of abilities when it came to naming the alphabet, and counting to fifteen like the other kids, he had this huge interest in The Flash – which made him speak of certain journalists as if he knew them. “We just read Iris West, Seany, I’m sorry,“
“What does yours say, aunty Y/N?” Sean looked at her wrist, which Y/N huffed at. 'What is it with this world? Why are everyone so eager on those stupid tattoos?’ But she pulled herself together and forced a smile. "You see, Sean, aunt Y/N isn’t as lucky as all the other ones, her tattoo doesn’t work,” “It doesn’t?” The little boy looked up at her with big, worried eyes, which by some way made Y/N feel bad for him. “No, but I’m sure yours work! Mommy’s and daddy’s worked, I’m just a bit less lucky,”
“Do you think the Flash has a tattoo?” Sean asks, which make Y/N laugh – if those words had come out of any other’s mouth, she would have rolled her eyes. “I believe so, yes,” “You are very pretty, aunty Y/N,” right there was one of the many reasons Y/N loved Sean. Sure, he wasn’t the best at keeping a conversation – that boy was more distracting than any kid Y/n had ever met. But in the end, Sean was this great, funny, bubbly guy that Y/N loved hanging out with. “Thank you, that was a very nice thing to say, you’re very handsome as well,"  "What if Flash is your soulmate?” Y/N almost choked, but before she could say anything, Sean continued: “Or maybe Patrick, he’s very cool, he works with the big kids,” exhaling, Y/N was relieved her little random, darling duckling was back.
The all too familiar sound of metal meeting glass rang through the room, and so Barry tried his best at not sinking deep into his chair. “I would like to make a toast…” It was his beautiful best friend, Iris, and her fiancé Eddie’s engagement party, and even though he couldn’t be more happy for the two, he couldn’t shake off the sad feeling in his heart. His parents, his friends – it even seemed like the little kids that were running around had found their partners for life. Barry couldn’t take one step anywhere, without being reminded that he hadn’t found his soulmate yet.
“You know, I met my mate at the age of 13,” the drunk next to Barry stated. “I heard the most regular age to meet is between 9 and 23,” Was it Eddie’s cousin that said that? “How 'bout you, Terry? Found the love of your life yet?” 'How did I even end up here?’ Barry smiled at the old man. “No, but I-” “Gary! His name is Gary, grandpa!"  "I’ll just go and find Iris,” Barry enlightened to the little party, and then left to do just so.
“Barry! Hey, I haven’t seen you at all tonight!” Iris had clearly gotten a few glasses, but when she saw right through the fake smile of Barry Allen, her tipsy state disappeared right away.  “Uhm, babe, I’ll just go get more ice,” once Eddie had given his wife-to-be a kiss in acknowledgment, the two best friends found their way to the porch.
Iris had a feeling what had caused barry’s light frown but had let him talk out about it anyway.  “Barry, you’re going to be fine. Look, I’m sure your girl’s just right around the corner, whomever up there would be a real ass if she’s not,” her last comment made Barry smile. “Yeah, of course,” he nodded, regretting that he’d taken his best friend out of her own engagement party.
It wasn’t an everyday thing for Y/N Y/L/N to go to Tiffany’s to eat her breakfast. Thing is, she always had a wish to do so – let her inner Audrey Hepburn shine. So today, she could happily cross it off her bucket list. What she hadn’t thought of though, was Central City being a slightly criminal city, with many jewelry-loving evil metahumans. So in her little black dress, matching gloves, big dark sunglasses and pearl necklace, Y/N witnessed the first robbery in her life. ’It will be fine, Y/N. What’s the odds of anyone coming and ripping off your grandmother’s pearls in the middle of the streets? Oh God, what have I ever done to deserve this?’ Y/N thought of her earlier words to herself, almost shaking by the thought of the scene she frightened happening.
She waited for the alarm that never came and looked around herself. One babysitter strolling with a toddler, a man in a suit, and herself – that meant two witnesses if anything happened. When the nanny and the businessman soon disappeared, Y/N decided to try her breakfast at Tiffany’s another time. 'Time to use those ninja-skills you brag about to Sean,’ “Oh hello,” A not-too-friendly voice spoke up behind her. 'Oh merde,'
Deciding to pretend she hadn’t heard him, Y/N sped up her pace, walking as fast as a girl in heels could. Suddenly she felt her necklace get pulled backward so hard she got troubles breathing, making her whole body follow. “That’s some lovely piece of woman your jewelry got there,” that must have been the lamest, creepiest pick-up line Y/N had ever heard. With no one in sight, she tried her best to distract his attention away from robbing her. But instead of saying: “The pearls were my grandmothers”, whimpers escaped her lips. “Flash,” the meta behind her seemed both tense and annoyed. If she could, Y/N would have breathed out in relief, but that being difficult, she tried her best just breathing normally.
Usually, when Barry went into Flash-mode, he didn’t notice the ones around him that weren’t in danger. His eyes were on the metas, and the metas only, so when he was done defeating the telekinesis, had sped him off to the old particle accelerator, his next task was at hand: Double check on the wounded. Though when he did came back, there weren’t many people at the crime-scene. “Wow…” Barry said quietly, taking in the rich girl’s appearance. Her hair was sat up in a weird, kind of snobbish way, but that suited her in a way. And her lips! Her beautiful, pink lips, parted a bit because of the shock probably. Unfortunately, he couldn’t see the color of her, most likely, stunning eyes. The pearls were placed against her collarbones perfectly, and along with the black dress she looked very put together: Very higher-class: Very not the kind of people Barry hung out with – or were in his league.
At that same time, Y/N had just thawed from her frozen state: It was actually the Flash. He was in front of her. And before she could stop herself, the words spilled form her lips: “Holy shit it’s him,” All she could think about was the face behind the mask. Would his smile match the warm, green and kind eyes? Would his personality do as well? Would he be a stuck up jerk, or the nicest guy possible? She wanted to see him, the real hero under the suit. Though just when she saw a blurred picture of him opening his mouth, Y/N lost control of her now numb body, and passed out.
“Now that’s one fine looking lady you got there, Bar,” Joe said, looking over to the other room at the rich girl.  “Pretty good catch if she’s not a monster,” Cisco sucked on his lollypop while following Joe’s gaze. She’d been unconscious for about an hour, and Barry still hadn’t moved his attention from the sleeping beauty. “Yeah…” He had answered, hoping for just that.
Y/N had found out, the hard way, that it was a terrible thing to pass out. Not only the uncomfortable feeling of not being able to see for seconds before she lost it, but also losing control of her legs. When she heard unfamiliar voices around her, Y/N decided it was for the best not to open her eyes completely just yet. “Pretty good catch if she’s not a monster,” 'Oh dear God. I’m in my Holly-costume,“ "Yeah…” 'This honestly can’t get worse’Y/N kept thinking about the endless choices of near futures she had. Her rescuers could be kidnappers. The kidnappers could jury her in many ways, and considering her choice of outfit, robbery didn't seem impossible. 'Oh please God almighty, please say they're not rapists!' "Hey, is it normal for unconscious people to have nightmares?" 'Crap, Blaise was right, I really need to work on my poker face! God dammit Y/N!' Deciding her little act didn't hold, Y/N opened her eyes, the first thing she saw being a wrist with black ink.
"Wow..." That was the second time that day. Barry just couldn't stop himself, her eyes... They were the absolute perfect shade of Y/E/C.  "Shit," the stranger girl's words were almost impossible to catch, but Barry did, and saw her eyes glued on his tattoo. His eyebrows furrowed, what was she doing? But once their eyes locked for what had to be the third time that day, he understood. "It's you," he stated. His soulmate nodded. "I'm Y/N, Y/N Y/L/N," She whispered, still looking deep into his eyes. "Barry Allen," at that he closed the gap. They kissed. Her on the bed, and him hovering over her. It didn't take may minutes before Cisco made a big deal out of it. "I told you, man!" He outed right after a wolf whistle. And the happy couple smiled. They had finally found each other. After all that time.
ϟϟϟϟϟ
A/N: The hard part of writing such clichés as a soulmate imagine, is that it’s almost impossible to write good! SO I hope the cuteness (hopefully there’s some cuteness in here…) made up for the bad writing and crappy ending:))

Barry when...
You’re the other good meta in town
Tumblr media
Though both of you two were good, you kind of had this love-hate relationship with each other. At every scene of crime and danger, from an old lady getting robbed to mass murder, both of you would be there. The only difference was that he showed his interest in you, while you liked to keep your mutual feelings of him for yourself.
“Y/MH/N, we can help each other, if you would just let us-” “Us? So you have this little team that wants me by your side as well?” You stepped closer to him, so close you could almost breathe the same air. Maybe it was realizing his mistake, or maybe he really just got lost in your eyes, either way, he kept gazing at them. If you were completely honest, a part of you really liked it, though the greater part overruled it and made you a bit uncomfortable. “What, are you gonna kiss me now?" When he didn't answer, just continued to stare, you made a bold move: You pecked his lips.
Pulling out of the 2-second kiss, you made a quick – hopefully witty, comment: "I don't usually do that before the guy buys me dinner, but you're an exception, Barry Allen," and then you disappeared, leaving the speedster shocked. Shocked because you had figured his real identity, shocked because you kissed him, shocked because he enjoyed it even more than he'd thought beforehand. "Oh dayum," Cisco said into his earpiece.
A/N: BTW: Y/MH/N= your metahuman name. From experience, all of the work I really liked have gotten little amounts of likes, where the ones I didn’t like got tons. Now If y’all don’t like this, I’ll get seriously concerned. This was honestly so good!

He’s unaware that you’re into the same video game as Cisco
Tumblr media
It wasn’t every day you met people that were into the same stuff as yourself, so when you met Cisco for the first time you almost cried of joy. Though because of your liking of the video game being your guilty pleasure few people were aware of, Barry didn’t get the reference when Cisco challenged you for an all nighter.
“What are you doing?” He’s worried tone made a part of you feel guilty for not telling your very new boyfriend about your little secret. “I’m challenging her to trial by combat,” that was the moment you knew that whatever would happen between you and Barry in the future, you would never ever loose contact with the beautiful latino in front of you named Cisco Ramon.
A/N: I really liked this.

Barry when...
You witness his first day with powers
Tumblr media
You rarely found time to take a walk, but sitting inside all day was making your body ache, so doing the only thing that seemed logical at that moment: You grabbed your coat and took a break from your work.
It didn't even take five minutes before a sudden wind blew straight past you and into the dark alley to your left. The following sound of a crash got your attention, and so you walked towards the now panting sound.  "Whoa..." Right in front of you, was a man panting, burning pieces of... was it clothes? Was spread around him, and your cheeks turned red when you noticed the only thing he wore was his boxers.
Never would you ever think that attractive man would turn to be a superhero, and only in your wildest dreams, you could have imagined that superhero ending up as your husband and the father of your kids. From that day, you started walking every day, not knowing what you could miss if not exposing yourself to the outer world day by day.
A/N: this was shit but I can’t do better atm://

Barry when...
Caitlin finally introduces you to each other...
Tumblr media
You and Caitlin went way back. The habit from after college of calling each week was the reason for you two still being in touch with each other, which was something you really appreciated. This action meant you were fully aware of her interaction with her friendship with Cisco Ramon, and her interaction with Flash (and they were fully aware of who you were as well) but for some reason, you had never met any of her colleagues in person – which maybe had something to do with you living in Starling.
However, when your job offered you to work in Central city, you didn't need much time to think about it. Calling Caitlin and informing her right away caused the welcome-to-central-city-dinner.  "Barry, I want you to meet Y/N Y/L/N, my best friend from-" "College, yeah I know. It's nice to meet you, I'm Barry-" "Allen, I know, good to finally put a face to the name," some sort of bond between the two of you formed right there. Suddenly it was as if you had known him for forever, and the attraction you felt towards him was mutual – but of course, that information took some time before you both figured that out...
A/N: anyone else that also like matchmaker-Caitlin?

Barry when...
You’ve been dating for 2 years
Tumblr media
If it had been up for him, Barry would have asked you to marry him the minute he saw you. Though he knew that freaked most women out, so he didn’t do that. Maybe if it had been someone else, he could have asked after a year, but Barry knew you needed to go slow (something he was OK with), but now he couldn’t wait any longer It had been 2 beautiful years, still – to be 100% sure, he needed to talk to Cisco first: your best friend from kindergarten.
A/N: So because I have the rest of this week off, I thought to maybe post something every day? I’ll try to maybe make something else than Barry when...s and Grant Gustin interviews, but I can’t promise anything!

Not an ordinary damsel || 0.2
READ PART ONE HERE
Summary: Y/N Y/L/N is one of CCPD’s best detectives, and Barry Allen being the only one in the forensics department, causes them to interfere with each other more than they like. You see: Y/N and Barry doesn’t like each other so much. But when Y/N suspect Barry to be the Flash, she gets herself into a bit too deep trouble.
Pairing: Barry Allen x Sarcastic!Reader
Warning: Zoom’s involved, therefore we don’t know about Kid-Flash yet, and Jessie Quick isn’t a speedster yet either;) And to those who are sensitive to swearing ‘n such, I’m sorry?
A/N: So because I have tons of requests, I will mash some of them up if I think they will work out nicely (and hopefully they will!). In this case, I hope it’s ok for you, galactichoran and lisagust14 <33
“Are you alright?” A vibrating voice made it impossible for Y/N to get any picture in her head of whom the man behind the mask could be. “Uhm… I thought you just did the huge stuff,” was the first thing that popped up in Y/N head, which happened to be the lamest thing to say to a superhero of all the things it could have been. No no, save the wittiness and such to non-metas, Y/N, nice work. “You don’t think a possible rape is worth stopping?” When Y/N didn’t have anything to say back – which rarely happened, Flash just smirked at her and sped off. “Wow…"
ϟϟϟϟϟ
Yes, even the queen of sarcasm, the witty detective, Y/N Y/L/N had a soft spot for The Flash. Though because of her encounter with the superhero of her beloved city, her deep respect for the guy had turned into something bigger. 'The Flash Daily, by Iris West', after reading several articles, Y/N finally found a reliable source – it was unbelievably how many fanfictions one could find by searching for The Flash on the web. West, as in detective Joe's daughter?
For the first time in a long time, Y/N didn't get Phillip the intern to bring her a Belly Burger for lunch but decided to go for a cup of coffee. That is if you count deciding for not taking a cab, but to walk to meet her mother at Jitters... "Y/N! There you are!" Y/N's mother looked thrilled to see her daughter again, after all: It had been months since they last met.
"His mother must be so proud of him," Y/N had almost forgotten the part of her mother being one of the older admirers of The Flash. "Yes, I'm sure, mom," Y/n sipped her coffee, not noticing her green-eyed colleague entering the café with his own company. "Have you ever met him? Oh dear, I hope not Y/N, you need to be careful here in the big city – you are careful, right?" Being raised half an hour outside Central City, Y/N always counted the minutes before her mother would start on the topic of her security. "Mom, I'm a cop, I don't need a hero to save me," Y/n referred to The Flash: her mother's only reason for not monitoring her so far away from home. "You're a detective that solve murders, Y/N, you're not Superman,"
He had to fight the little laugh that tried to escape at her mother's words. Sitting back to back with Y/N Y/L/N in a public place was something Barry Allen wouldn't think he'd do voluntarily. Yet that's the position he currently found himself in. He had to admit: it was priceless to be able to listen to his coworker's conversation with her mom – to hear the soft side of her that he never had experienced before. "Yo Barry?" Cisco got his attention away from the Y/H/C behind him. "Hm?" Barry said, only to receive a look from Cisco that he returned with confusion. "That's her! The girl behind you!" Cisco whispered in enthusiasm, while Caitlin almost facepalmed in sympathy for Barry. Jay, however, just watched the others' expressions, before he laid his eyes on Y/N.
"Y/N Y/L/N, CCPD, I need to speak to Iris West, do you have any-" before Y/N could finish her question, the girl she was talking to quickly nodded, and pointed to the left. It wasn't as if Y/N was very scary when she walked 'in the field', but when getting a serious lack of sleep, she just wasn't the one to act all happy – even captain Singh was careful around her those days.
Pulling herself together, Y/n knew she had to break one of her many habits, and pull of a smile. if her theory was correct, she had to nail this, 'Time to prove Mr. Russel wrong, Y/N oscar-winner Y/L/N' "Iris West?" The woman in front of Y/N turned her chair to look at the one who had called her name. "That's me... detective? Is there something wrong?"
One hour wasted completely... Though Y/N had tried her best to remember and use the techniques from Drama class in high school, her natural attitude had escaped the surface of her act. Maybe it was the fact that she never got better than a C-minus in Drama, or maybe it was because Iris was very well with reading people, but her true nature was easily busted. But in spite of what most people would think when getting interrogated by a slightly grumpy woman suddenly like that, Iris liked Y/N. She found her sarcasm and charisma interesting and at the same time she could confirm Barry's comment on her nice smile.
“OK, bye mom... yes I’m home... no it’s just the TV... mom I have to go now... Yeah ok... Ok love you too... Yeah, ok, yeah, bye, bye mom," Y/N hung up. She never liked to lie – hence why she never did it. Never meaning giving a tiny white lie to her mother so she wouldn't get a heart attack when she found out her daughter was walking home from work at 1030PM. It was just that Y/N really couldn't bear the thought of a lecture about 'being a workaholic' and that she would 'die of stressing too much'.
Not being the most observing type of person when thinking of the 24-hour open Chinese takeaway she had on speed dial, Y/N didn't notice the speedster in front of her. "Y/N Y/L/N, nice to finally met you," Zoom's manipulated voice almost made you jump – almost. "Well aren't I the lucky one? Getting to meet two speedsters in a week..." This was Y/N working with her c-minus the best way she could. Though she realized she could have just  saved that for her futuristic performances when she felt herself getting kidnapped by the most dangerous man in the city.
"1 bottle of beer on the wall, 1 bottle of beer. Take one down and pass it around, no more bottles of beer on the wall. No more bottles of beer on the wall, no more bottles of beer. Go to the store and buy some more, 99 bottles of beer on the wall. 99 bottles of-" Having several of siblings and younger cousins, Y/N's ability to annoy people that were on a skill level out of this world, And whenever Y/N felt uneasy, or helpless, she would use her secret weapon. "Enough!" Let's just say that Y/N wasn't getting the reaction she was hoping for – not that she knew what she wanted either.
"You really need to work on your temper, dude," using lame and old phrases was also one of Y/N's panic-mode-characteristics.  "If I were you, I would shut up immediately," was all Zoom said to her through gritted teeth.  "Chillax," Y/N was mentally screaming, someone needed to shove a sock into her mouth before she started quoting mean girls.
At the office, there had been 16 hours of Y/N Y/L/N's disappearance, and some of her coworkers were starting to get worried – Barry included.  "Y/N's never had a sick day," Team Flash was currently in the cortex, Barry talking to the others while running on the treadmill.  "I'm sure she's fine Bar," Iris said in an attempt to cheer him up. "Yeah, dude, the almighty Y/N Y/L/N's immune system has to crash at some point," Cisco commented before going back to sipping on his Slurpee.
"But you don't understand," Barry slowed down his jogging before stopping completely. He went to get the little towel and walked out to the others. "She came to work with the flu once, Joe and two others had to drag her home," he said while wiping sweat from his neck, remembering Y/N's pale face, dry lips, and teary eyes that day. "I agree with Barry, something's just not right here..." Joe spoke up, and before anyone could say anything more, Zoom showed up.
"Barry Allen," "Hunter Zolomon," Cisco mocked the evil speedster's way of talking and took a slow sip from his drink without taking his glare off of him. "Barry Allen, I'm here to challenge you to a race," Zoom made a pause to look over to Catlin, only to get a disappointed look back. "I'm not racing you," Barry almost spat in disgust. "All I want is to find out who's the fastest man alive – on either earths. If you win, you'll get to be the hero: You get your girlfriend and I leave... Now if I don't see you tomorrow at sunset... let's just say that your father won't be the only one I'll take from you," was the last thing he said before speeding off. Barry tried his best to not get hung up on the fact that he had called you his.
"Well... seems legit to me!" Cisco stood there, not seeming to get the big deal. "He just wants to race, kinda makes sense in a completely off-your-rocker sort of way,"  "Not entirely..." Harry commented, and started explaining the Magnetar power to erase a whole world, and even more with Barry as a power source. "So he wants to destroy every earth there is?" Joe asked, and Caitlin nodded. Her being Zoom's previous kidnap had its very few perks. "But can he do that? How many earths are there?" "Infinite. And he can get to every one of them," Harry answered his daughter's question with ease. "I guess I don't have a choice... I have to race him," his statement launched shockwaves to the rest of the team. "And I have to win," Barry thought of you: this would be the most demanding and important task, and your life was at stake.
"We could have the CCPD-" "No, I'm doing this alone, Joe, I don't want any more lives at stake," Barry turned down the nth try to stop him from accepting the race. "We don't want your life at stake either, Barry!" Joe outlashed in despair. "I'm the one that saves people, Joe!" realizing he had just snapped at the people that just cared deeply about him, Barry looked down to take a deep breath and start over. "Guys, I really appreciate your concern, but did you forget about Y/N? My innocent, civil coworker from CCPD? He got to her, and he will be able to take a whole army down, Joe. Guys, I'm the only one that can stop him, and save the multiverse, you have to let me do this," before he could get any reaction or answer out of them, Barry left STAR labs: He had to keep his head cold, focus on his running, get better. He couldn't think of Y/N's beautiful face in a rotten cell like the one on earth 2.
It felt like days, but Y/N knew that wasn't the case.  "Hey Jay, how you doin'?" It hadn't taken long before she had figured out his way of speaking, and with the alphabet in front of her, they managed to hold the conversation rolling (a simple one at least, so her dear, old, masked, new friend wouldn't have to stress too much about it). "Better," she couldn't imagine how it must have been for him. Locked up in his own cage for forever. "You know, they have this speedster-" before Y/N could go on, the man of the hour appeared, and both Jay and Y/n knew better than to talk anymore.
"We're leaving," Y/N never knew how manipulated voices could sound so different from one another. By some way, The Flash had made her feel more safe, while Zoom just created a tight knot in her stomach. 'Because the fact that the first one's a hero and the second's a villain has absolutely nothing to do with it. No, no,'  "What?" Y/N couldn't believe how wrong that must have looked. 'Wow, Y/N Y/L/N, got the Stockholm syndrome, much?'  She couldn't just leave Jay behind though, no Y/N had to come up with a plan, and fast.
Figuring out that coding the message "I'm not bailing on you, I will come back and get you out" was pretty hard when you had about five seconds before getting sped away – especially with Zoom's no-communicating-policy (which Y/N had found out the hard way). So while laying in Zoom's arms (which was very uncomfortable), Y/N just hoped Jay got the vibe of her words. Funny thing being she didn't know that he'd gotten that exact message weeks ago.
"You know, you should work on that grip – not very comfortable. I'll probably get a Zoom's neck tomorrow as well, just say-" Y/N was interrupted by a very harsh hand covering her mouth. "One more word and you will regret ever meeting Barry," Zoom whispered into your ear. 'Meeting Barry? Why the hell does a evil speedster a grudge against a forensic scientist? Shite Y/N!' And just before Y/N figured it out, she heard a new voice.
"I tell you, Jay might be crazy pants, but he can pick a venue," though Y/N loved her cell-mate Jay, she knew that meeting two Jays in a week was a little to zero probability.  "Showtime, princess, now be quiet," and even though the two of them was just twenty meters away from the group of people, he still chose to speed off. 'Show off'
"Brought the whole crew with you, huh?" Y/N's willpower had never met a greater challenge than at that moment. And if it hadn't been for her being strong headed to not make a fool out of herself, her jaw would have met the ground by now. Because there in front of her was several people with a man in a familiar scarlet suit, but without his mask, Y/N understood momentarily what Zoom had against Barry, he was the freaking Flash. "Can't say I blame you," on the other side, Barry was fighting for keeping his face neutral, he couldn't let Zoom believe he had any feelings for the woman that was in danger in front of him.
"It's gonna be a hell of a show," Zoom's voice was really starting to annoy the hell out of Y/N. "Let her go," it may have been the whole body-suit-superhero-effect, because out of a sudden Allen's voice sounded extremely sexy for Y/N. "After we race," "Cut the crap, we know you plan to power up the Magnetar," 'Is that Harrison Wells?'  After getting all the facts of the current event to be, she was in shock. He was sacrificing himself. Barry Allen from the office. The one that now stood in front of her like the real superhero he is. And he'll never get the credit for that. 'And I treated him like shit... Well there goes my "person of the year"-award'
'Will it be weird if I also say something? Gah, what do I say? Come on Y/N, you're running out of time! He's leaving! Oh God Y/N, just say something!'  "Uhm, Barry?" 'Wow, OK you should have just stayed quiet... Oh he's looking at you! Shine bright, Y/N, say something! Now's the time!' "I'm sorry," 'OK, that's legit, that's ok, sums up everything, Jay would be proud.'And luckily for Y/N, Barry nodded and smiled understanding what she meant. "What are the rules?" This was it.
They were running at a speed that would have muted Usain Bolt. None of them could separate the two streaks – at least Y/N couldn’t, but by the things the others said earlier, she was sure Zoom was undefeated when it came to races. “Hey, are you ok?” Iris had walked over to Y/N. “Uhm, yeah I guess, just a tad bit worried for that idiot over there,” Iris smiled at her, she knew from the bits she’d heard from both her father and best friend, that this girl never complimented Barry. She had been right all along, and if her idiot-friend would make it out alive today, her ship would be ready to sail.
If one would dive into Y/N Y/L/N soul at that moment, and walked for about an hour, where there would be no jokes at all, one would see her deep concern for the boy she had fallen in love with. His cute smile that never had been used towards her, and his green, beautiful eyes that always changed when she talked to him. Now if her inner Jiminy cricket would have been so deep down in her mind, she would have scolded her for that, and that it would have been her own fault. ‘And now he’s sacrificing his life for you and the rest of the multiverse’ Y/N would then try and calm herself with the fact that he just had the heart of gold, and wasn’t sacrificing himself for you, he was just this bat-crazy-good guy.
With no warning what so ever, barry was suddenly in front of Y/N, and for the first time in forever, she actually jumped. “Oh God!” Before she could either yell at him for doing that or ask him how he was both with her and with Zoom, he spoke up. “I’ll explain later, go!” If she hadn’t seen the look on his face or heard the deep concern in his tone, Y/N would never have left, but she did, and she respected that: hence her doing just what barry told her to do – for the first time in her life, Y/N followed an order with no grudge at all.
“Because if that's out of phase, it'll counteract that one,” The time remnant – or was it the real Barry? Y/N couldn’t really tell the difference. One of the Barry’s were "creating a new pulse”, what that meant she didn’t know, but it was a very brave, very stupid, and very noble thing to do. “Wait, his body can't handle that!” Caitlin’s statement made Y/n’s whole body tremble. “Then what's gonna happen?” Jesse spoke before she had the chance, and what Wells answered her made Y/N’s mind collapse. “He'll die,”
White walls, sharp lightning, the smell of rubber gloves: This could only mean hospital, and hospital meant something happened to Y/N. ‘I freaking passed out. The multiverse was at stake and I just had to faint?! Ugh!’ Opening her eyes, Y/N looked around the room. Flowers and balloons from the shop in the reception. Moving over to reach the card, Y/N read it in hope for the handwriting she knew all too well. 'Y/N, get better, – Allen'  A wide smile formed her lips, it was from Barry, he wrote to her. Just on cue, her mom waltzed into her room, ‘On time like always, moma,’
"You're back!" Y/N had lost count on how many times she had heard that, but she knew that if she had earned a dollar for each time, she could have had that cappuccino from Jitters ten minutes ago. Point is: she didn't focus on all of the detectives she passed, her path was planned, and her mind was set: 'Bartholomew Allen, prepare for a visit from hell.'
For the first time ever (many first times have happened this week), Y/N barged in with no witty intros or comebacks in mind. "Why didn't you tell me!" God, she was happy he was alone. "T-tell you what?" Barry had almost slipped the test tube in his hands, but quickly caught it before it hit the ground. "That you're the Flash!!" When he didn't have anything to say, Y/n continued while striding over to where he was standing. "And you almost died last night! No, I'm pretty sure I saw you die – one of you at least! What the hell, Barry?! Don't do anything like that ever again, my heart won't make it!"  "Bu-" "I know it's your job, but you have to be more care-" Barry interrupted her (now softer) ramble with a passionate kiss. All of their feelings were suddenly on display, but in the end, they still didn't know what was more surprising: Her calling him Barry, or him kissing her. But neither of them minded.

Grant Gustin, interview
You weren’t together at Valentines
Tumblr media
Moving on from business to gossip, the interviewer turned the focus over to the recently popular topic of Hollywood: your relationship with Grant Gustin. “So Grant, yesterday was Valentines Day, with your lovely Y/N out of town, how did it go?”
At the mention of your name, Grant went from his famous grin to a more serious look. His eyes became a bit distant, as if he was mentally watching you from miles away. “No, I... it was very difficult for me, yeah... This is probably the hardest part of this incredible work I get to do,” he tried to make up a little smile, but it was hard, because he was speaking from his heart. “I miss her... I really do...” Grant finished his sentence.
“Wow, this was so emotional...!” The interviewer fanned her eyes with her hands, in an attempt to not let her make up run, but with a little laugh, she managed to get the interview on a happier tone – though, through the rest of the day, the only thing Grant could think about was your daily FaceTime-call at 8 PM.
A/N: Sorry this was a bit shitty guys, but the reason I’m updating on this lovely Wednesday night (at least it’s night for me:/), is because I feel slightly guilty for not posting in what... two weeks? ATM I’m very ill, and in addition to that I had to ask my teachers to extend some deadlines for my homework, but I’ll try my best to update again this Sunday (with a long-ish imagine, perhaps?) Hope you had a very happy valentines yesterday:**
