anyways hey

this is my writing sideblog, and i know this likely won’t be seen by many, but for anybody who does follow me here for my dsmp fic, i just wanna give this brief word.

this’ll also likely be included in the authors note on the next chapter of compass.

i usually keep my works very separate from outside drama, but recently some certain information has come to light that may be very condemning for a certain cc.

staying as vague as possible, i’m frankly really heartbroken. now is a better time than ever to stress the separation between c and cc.

i cant say this isn’t jarring. as ridiculous as it sounds, my writing has been the way for me to process and cope with a lot of dreary times and events in my life. those who’ve stuck around since heartforbrains, my first work, may know that i wrote to cope with some pretty serious abuse i faced about a year ago.

my gut says stand with victims. don’t make this about who you may believe to be the abuser, but also do not immediately clear him of suspicion.

the next chapter of compass will be going up pretty soon, but after that, i’m going to need to take a step back and evaluate where i’m going with my writing as a whole.

the story of compass and its characters are mine, and i don’t want this to take that from me. even if every name and tether to the dsmp’s original story was cut, compass would still have its own unique worldbuilding and character dynamics i pieced together pretty meticulously out of love for my craft and love for my stories.

i’ve got about 6 longfics that i’ve been planning since summer that may end up losing steam. i cant reiterate enough how much this just. sucks all around.
