School should not take up a second from your "free"time. Neither should work.
If I go to school, for 7 hours a day, 5 times that per week, I should not be given so much "homework" tasks that I spend my whole 48 hours of freetime. Or dont call that freetime.
It isnt just tiring, Its very unhealthy as well, as If I dont finnish my tasks, what time am I gonna use up? Well, I will order some food then, thats not healthy at all, but atleast I ate. If I still dont have time? no sleeping until you finnish. Short&coherent version: We shouldnt be forced to sit in classes that we arent interested in, and our SPAREtime should be actually spent with something we want to do, otherwise dont act like we do nothing when given a day off. For work: no, you shouldnt do this and that overtime for the same salary as you'd normally get Please reblog, repost, rephrase, spread. I dont want credit, I just want this to be changed. I bet the comments on this will be "oh but you had time to write that why not spend it elsehow other than complaining" if anybody finds this and reads it. Yeah, I wrote this in 10 minutes instead of eating while writing my few pages long essay that i have been working on for 30 hours now (which is considered short), and thats all the time I have If i wish to stay healthy and sleep a "reasonable" 6-7 hours. Its supposed to be MAXIMUM 8 hours of work/school 8 hours of rest and 8 hours sleep, not "be lucky if you can sleep 7 hours, dont even dream of freetime, you need to study for this that you wont ever use again :)".
For elementary school, its fine to introduce everything to children, so that they can find something they are itnerested in. However, if you dont like something for 8 years, chances are, you wont like it after more time passes either. You dont necessarily have to not like it, you can just not be interested in things, and that is perfectly fine. Incase I reach a few hours of freetime, I am usually so tired, that I can not function normally, so i can't really enjoy anything I would normally do. This doesnt effect me only. There are other students in the world as well. And so far, the standards have only been rising, never decreasing. I think this needs to be finally said. I think school does have useful information, but I should NOT need to learn EVERY single subject ever just because someone said so. Yes, those are importaint too, but If I am not interested or if im REALLY not good in it, chances are, i wont use them ever. There will be other people, who will study those, and solve issues in that area. I am saying this, as I had not had 4 hours of sleep, I can barely put sentences together now and I never get out of the house, dont drink, nor do i smoke ever.
If you agree, please reblog this, as I cannot phrase how much this system needs to change. If you dont agree, all im asking for is not to support anything that makes student's lives harder, and if you are put in a position, where you can vote about how schools should work, and you dont sit in a classroom daily, either dont vote, or ask a student first. Reminder, that this will affect future generations as well.
