wrt warrior nun, there's a line in season 1 where sister beatrice is referencing the halo-bearer that preceded ava (i forget her name dskjfdksa) and we have pretty much no context or intervening characterization to establish this person thusfar because the writing sucks (don't @ me i like the show, just bc i like something doesn't make it good etc etc) and in any case, beatrice says something about the previous halo-bearer doing practical jokes on them and there's this awkward beat of recollection before she whispers "she really got some of us" in this bizarre deadpan knee-slapping & incredibly british tone and for whatever reason it sends me every fucking time, like i will randomly recall "she really got some of us" and bust my gut laughing

one of the worst things i think for me is that i have these ideas but i'm painfully aware that i'm still a pretty new writer (at least creatively) and i'm not quite there skill-wise to get the ideas out of my brain. and oughghghhhh the misery.

bizarrely interested in writing a shaunajackie cemetery man au

the whole plot of the movie is there's a cemetery watchman (shauna) who lives on-site and his task is to re-kill zombies as they rise from their graves. he falls in love with a widow (jackie) but then, well, tragedy strikes & she needs to be taken care of. throughout the movie, the same actress that played the widow plays different characters as well-- spooky. the set design is really cool too.

if anyone feels bad that their fic might contain medical inaccuracies, be comforted to know that whatever creative liberties you take with your medical scenes can never be worse than the one I just read. where one character tries to stop the bleeding on their friend's head wound by putting a tourniquet around their neck
