more lore ! ami fey and nicholas schnee are responsible for the white hair, light eyes and pale skin within their families. certain traits do filter through from other family members, such as ami’s husband passing on his tan skin, darker hair and brown eyes, and nicholas’ wife passing on her dark hair and brown eyes to gregory. this is why willow and gregory look nothing alike despite being siblings.

• each seasonal maiden has a specific element: spring — earth, summer — fire, fall — air / electricity, winter — water / ice.

• maiden flames reflect their aura color rather than their eye color. so for instance, if a maiden with gold eyes had a blue aura, their flames would be blue.

• maidens are not gender locked ! there were instances of men, and trans / nonbinary / genderfluid people becoming maidens throughout remnant's history. despite this, the name unfortunately stayed and is in need of being modernized.

the branwen clan were founded by a pirate from vacuo and continuously moved about. they didn’t start off as pillaging or thievery, they mostly did what they could to survive after what happened to their kingdom. down the line, some leaders began to take on a more brutal aspect, thus giving them their infamous name and reputation.

when it was sterling’s turn, he tried to clear their name, not wanting their clan to stay with that reputation. but raven doesn’t agree. she likes the power and fear her clan name brings

jacques schnee is originally from the von karma family and is the younger brother to manfred von karma . manfred had a rivalry with gregory schnee when they were attending atlas academy . soon his rivalry turned into disdain and hatred , and he was willing to do anything to keep him out of the picture .

when gregory was rumored to inherit the schnee dust company , manfred instructed jacques to marry into the family through willow schnee , and helped him plead a case to nicholas schnee , convincing him to hand the company and legacy to willow instead .
