i love wind and sun but the cold makes me depressed. i'm finally feeling the spring and the summer. the rain is nice and so is the heat so i'm kind of emotionally thriving.

i recently visited my sister and we went to a few different japanese life stores so thats where i got the memo pads :3 the plush is from miniso hehe. the little memo booklet was like $5,, for 6 mini memo pads !! crazy !! at the more popular life store we went to they had similar items for $15~ish it was acc insane..

ive been a bit sad lately and unmotivated to journal since i can notice my sticker collection running out. i have bags and bags of scraps to use but i always prefer art (stickers) over scraps tbh... it just makes me happy. well anyways the reason for my sadness was that i dont know if i'll be able to restock anytime soon.

a few spreads i haven't shared yet !! i haven't been journaling much lately so i thought i'd just share some ones i did earlier in the month. i was planning on sharing a cvs receipt of spreads but there's still about 8 pages i've started recently and only half-finished.

also !! i wanted to show my wall :3c excuse the bad panorama,, i have shaky shaky hands. my wall kind of feels like my room journal hehe. theres some empty spots in pink/yellow and blue but i'll fill those in probably during convention season.

this method is so cure,, i was able to fit so much info in this one spread i didn't even need to use the other pages i prepped B]

this little half-page thing in the middle was actually so cute also (and perfect for unrelated vocab),, definitely gonna do that again sometime.

i remember that being the very reason i left this page abandoned;; i tore a layer of the paper on accident, and couldnt rip the whole page out without it being obvious, so i folded it in half for some reason. why did i just cover the torn part with a large scrap ?? it wasnt a hole in paper,, just a layer,, so i have no idea why i did that. anyways, i'm happy (⁠≧⁠▽⁠≦⁠)

studying for a final :3c

ive prepped some half-finished/emptyish pages for studying yesterday so i'm gonna lock in and fill them up today ^_^ i'll post the finished when i'm done as well !!

hopefully this works btw;; this time i felt like using my journal to study instead of a binder or something else. i thought since i associate positive emotions with my journal,, it might make studying more fun and engaging.

i'm not sure what to call this study method either btw;; shapes ?? i just do the same as i do for word searches,, draw colorful shapes to create sections and make it easier to search (⁠◕3◕⁠)

unrelated: i've still been journaling regularly,, just forget to post;; the other day i facetimed with a friend and we journaled together !! it was so nice to conversate with her and share our art while we make it <33 she's very speedy in her spreads lolol,, she completed two by the time i finished one !! can you tell i took inspo for these pattern-in-silhouette parts? i thought it would be wasteful not to use the sillohouettes left over on some sticker sheets so i cut them out and was reminded of the no home webtoon. i've loved no home for a long time, and it made me really happy to see it's recent spike in popularity.

i think the silhouettes came out adorable and i'll definitely be doing that again :3c

theme was originally gonna be black & white but i simply didnt have enough so it became more centered around the accent stickers instead :3c

it was kind of refreshing to use a different pallet than usual,, but incredibly challenging (⁠(⁠(⁠;⁠ꏿ⁠_⁠ꏿ⁠;⁠)⁠)⁠) i had to sift through all my stickers like 5 different times just to find enough things to fill the page,, and it's only half !!;

happy sunday,, i havent had much time to journal lately but i managed to do this page today;; unfortunately,, as soon as i post this i am going back to my (very toxic) lover (my textbook and study guide) ugh theyre already calling me !!;;;

sticker puzzles make me rlly happy, and i didnt have much time for this, so thats what i went with.

i thought it would be cute to show some of the stuff i initially picked out for the spread and how i ended up placing them. theres no theme here except that i decided to start by picking out some stuff i havent gotten around to using much yet.

thinking about the future is the worst. for this page i decided to go with a kind of savory foods theme. i tried my best to stick to bright and warm colors. i love the layout of doing a full page with no gaps and having the other page more for writing. it always ends up looking really nice. i would do it more often if i found a bit more enjoyment in writing, but thats just not who i am.

as always, it was fun. (until i got to writing and then it wasnt Q_Q) this is why i usually stick to lyrics. i'll learn to find joy in writing eventually; with practice comes perfection. maybe not very soon, though.

my sister and i both started journaling around the same time and we have a very similar taste in art so its fun to compare our spreads !!

she came over so obvi she's using my supplies here, although she mainly stuck to stickers and tapes and didnt even bother digging into my scraps (maybe this is my sign to reorganize them..)

i had fun watching her thought process when creating,, we're very different in the way we place things lolol

there's not a ton of layering but the page doesn't feel empty,, just simple and cute. she somehow managed to make a spread of mostly green despite my limited options of it;; points for bravery

i only wrote lyrics on this page because my sick brain couldn't do anything else but think about music and binge-watch greys anatomy.

i initially started this page to try and use the failed stamps i made and realized i never really use the darker/saturated blue that i ending up painting the stamps with. luckily i went digging through my scraps bag and found some. i ended up flipping the train ticket around so that there was more black on the page, but trust me when i say the front part is blue and bright.

i feel like i really only used a few stickers with this page, but it was still really fun because it was a bit of a challenge trying to make everything i picked out actually fit after gluing on the scraps.

overall,, this page is definitely not as crowded as something i'd do if i was my normal non-sick self, but it's cute too !!

can you tell i'm not a fan of empty space..? i rlly cant help but fill the page with doodles and the tiniest handwriting ever or else it just looks odd and empty to me;;

i do a mix of things but mostly i use a BUNCH of stickers, scraps, and doodle in the rest. i focus more on the stickers than on the writing, i always do the writing last.. its my least favorite part (⁠(⁠(⁠;⁠ꏿ⁠_⁠ꏿ⁠;⁠)⁠)⁠) most of the words in my journal are just song lyrics !!

i'm a bit glad the quality is so bad,, that means no one can zoom in on the ones where i actually DO write more than just lyrics (⁠◕⁠ᴥ⁠◕⁠)
