keep seeing stuff about bobbys death being a pr stunt. i can't believe i'm saying this but i hope to god it isnt. as much as i don't want bobby to be dead, and as much as its had me feeling a bit lost, if it turns out to be a stunt for whatever reason that would be unforgivable.

seeing some of the reactions from people, the actual grief its caused them, makes me wonder what it would do to the fans if it was fake. it would probably tank the views even more, because it would be cruel and manipulative.

that being said, i genuinely believe bobby is gone, as much as i keep hoping its not. either way, shitty writing is going to ruin 911 and probably get it cancelled.

Here’s the thing tho even if Bobby is still alive and this is all some fake out I still won’t be happy considering how they went about it. If they just did exactly what they did in canon without all the media stuff then that’s one thing but having Peter post goodbye letters and do goodbye interviews and the cast saying goodbye to him on socials, whether you think they are convincing or not, just does not sit right with me and is a step too far.

We have recurring characters and minors recurring characters reaction to Bobby dying, but we don't have a reaction on screen from Eddie? One of the main characters is not there and does not even get a 20 sec on screen reaction of another Main character dying?

to clarify:

this post is not just about the fact i'm not that big of a tommy fan. it's also about buck and how it would be bad writing for him to get back into a relationship PURELY for comfort because that is not healthy. everyone deals with grief in a different way and i understand that, but it definitely wouldn't do tommy any favours in the fandom for him and buck to get back together because it would feel too much like he's taking advantage of buck.

then again, bobby was also tommy's captain for a while so naturally he is also going to be grieving. so i guess both of them are kind of in the same boat and it might also seem like buck is taking advantage to some people depending on how you look at the situation.

also, i don't think buck and eddie should get together either. not yet at the very least. i probably won't be too upset if it happens in s9, which after this will probably be the last one before its cancelled, but i also think it would be bad writing for it to happen now. everyone at the 118, athena and tommy are going to need time to heal. by throwing characters into relationships, i don't think they'd be able to do it properly. maybe they could lean on each other for support and stuff, but relationships as coping methods aren't usually healthy. then again, the writers have thrown EVERYTHING away by killing bobby off, and i don't think the bad decisions are over yet.

theres a lot the writers do wrong, you're 100% correct the fandom will condemn it. they're condemning this plotline already, and i dont think the bad decisions are over. but absolutely, if theres a kiss, there will be complete uproar
