Apparently there was a livestream that had a bunch of the game's VAs present. All of the Beasts AND their minions... BUT NO BURNING SPICE AND NO NUTMEG TIGER. Erik Braa, Spice's VA, DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THE LIVESTREAM HAPPENED. HE ONLY HEARD ABOUT IT IN HIS DISCORD SERVER WHEN FANS WERE TELLING HIM HOW SAD THEY WERE THAT HE WASN'T THERE. He even started asking how he could join one of those events!!! Bro is so left out of everything that he doesn't even know how to ask to be part of anything!!!

I am SO tired of EVERYONE misunderstanding and mistreating Burning Spice. And apparently this bullshit extends to his fucking voice actor!!! Erik Braa has gone on record stating that he loves voicing Spice, he loves the character and wants to do more with him! (And he's generally a really nice guy irl so that makes it sting extra. His feelings were probably hurt by this and it sucks)

What does the best Beast get? No countdown, lame merch, rushed chapters, no proper exploration of his character or motivations (the fans that actually give a shit are the ones who have to fill in the blanks), no proper exploration of his dynamic with Golden Cheese, HIS OTHER HALF (and I don't necessarily mean that in a shippy sense, I mean like what the game explicitly states that the Beasts and Ancients are, two sides of one coin), and how they reflect one another. Everything goes to Shadow Milk, the golden child (and now Eternal Sugar, to a lesser extent). What does the best Beast VA and one of the best English VAs in general get? Deliberately excluded from all VA events. What the actual fuck man. It's so beyond frustrating. Burning Spice isn't a tumblr sexyman, he isn't a pretty girl, and he's based on Indian culture and religion (aka he's too dark skinned), so he gets nothing from the fandom and nothing from Devsisters. Justice for Burning Spice and justice for Erik Braa. Tell me you agree pretty please

Oh this is about the live reading is it? Regardless, damn that is dirty 💔 ignoring spice is one thing, but our goat Erik being left out too?? Is he really that unpopular or smth that he’s not invited to events? Part of me hopes it’s not the case and something else caused him to miss out, but realistically… yeah the shmilk and sugar favoritism might be having real world consequences :( I feel bad for him. He and his character deserve so much love and spotlight next to the other beasts, but I think being released right before Shadow Milk and being Not Very Fruity was lowkey a curse 💔 also having a mid and rushed story because they were saving budget. ((And maybe to some extent there are some people who aren’t wowed by the Indian inspiration (and Golden Cheese also being dark skinned), though I’m not confident how big of a factor that is.)) I think we could point fingers at a lot of ideas why/how Devsis is ignoring Spice… fact of the matter is that he deserves way more love and I hope he’s done justice someday :(

SYNOPSIS

After saving her friend in a car crash, Amina “Ami” is given a second chance at life - so long as she chooses an extinct species. She becomes a space-vampire and upon finding out 6 other girls made the same choice, sets off to form a magical girl team from something that was never meant to be magical at all.

The energy will be similar to that of Studio Trigger in terms of the upbeat nature and Kyoto Ani for the heart. Choices are the true theme of this story, so it’s important to see how that plays out.

Our team consists of artists and voice actors that have worked in anime, like AJ Beckles (The voice of Okarun from DanDaDan), Zeno Robinson (Hawks from MHA, Hunter from The Owl House), Emi Lo ( Mao-Mao from Apothecary Diaries), LaKira Porter ( Animation Station) and plenty of other talented actors/actresses!
