POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :   she  has  what’s  called  “the  shine”  as  her  cousin  put  it.  she  can  communicate  with  spirits  in  her  dreams  called  false  awakening. she  also  feels  the  emotions  of  everyone  around  her  &  it’s  taken  years  to  control  it  as  well  as  she  does ,  which  isn’t  very. IF STAYING IN DORMS, ANY PREFERENCES ON DORM MATE :  no preferences about dorm mate BRIEF ABOUT : jason is the oldest child in his family. his mother died of cancer when he was twelve, his father was killed in the line of duty when he was sixteen. he found out about his real parentage when he was thirteen after overhearing his step mother and his father arguing about him. his step mother never wanted him around, always fearful that he would harm her "real" children, and she proceeded to both kick him out of the house and attempt to disown him. his step siblings love him and though his step mother attempts to keep them away from him, they see him on an almost daily basis. he's majoring in history as a tribute to his mother, who he was very close with

STUDYING  :     business YEAR OF STUDY :    first  year POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :     he's  an  upir.   a  type  of  vampire  that  can  handle  pain  a  lot  more  &  has  the  ability  to  mesmerise  humans  with  ease  ,  even while  still  being  in  human  form  &  not  having  become  a  full  upir.   their  blood  lust  is  intense. IF STAYING IN DORMS, ANY PREFERENCES ON DORM MATE :    he  has  an  house  purchased  &   decorated  with  the  help  of  his  legacy  ;  godfrey  institute. BRIEF ABOUT :  /   tw  suicide.   after  letha's  death   &   peter  leaving  hemlock  grove  ,  roman  hit  a  hard  patch  with  having  been  left  alone   ;   with  only  olivia  being  there  to  keep  him  company.    it  wasn't  until  olivia  showed  him  letha's  daughter  - -   his  daughter   - -   nadia  godfrey  ,  that  roman  realised  what  he  had  to  do  instead  of  letting  the  constant  blood  lust  take  over.   he  slit  his  wrists  with  a  razorblade  he  had  hidden  in  his  pocket  - -   both  sides  -  -   before  ripping  out  olivia's  tongue  &  taking  nadia.     it  wasn't  until  peter  returned  &   they  eventually  patched  things  up.   with  roman  being  ceo  of  godfrey  institute  ,  he  has  enough  money  to  live  with  &  go  to  college  all  at  the  same  time  ,  dealing  with  company  issues  as  well.   it  was  a  mutual  decision  with  peter   to  move  to  new  york  with  nadia   &   peter  ,  finally  leaving  the  hell  that  is  hemlock  grove.

POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :   she  considers  herself  afflicted.  she  carries  a  blood  virus  that  keeps  her  youthful  &  powerful.  she's  still  prone  to  any  sort  of  mortal  injury  &  is  not  immortal.  though  she  has  to  drink  blood  &  is  extremely  finicky  on  whose  blood  she  drinks.  it  needs  to  be  pure. BRIEF ABOUT :   she  was  born  in  1904  as  elizabeth  johnson ,  a  girl  with  a  dream  of  stardom.  she  wanted  to  be  in  pictures  &  have  the  glamorous  life  of  the  silver  screen ,  but  meeting  a  man  who  would  forever  steal  her  heart  led  to  acquiring  an   affliction.  drinking  blood  is  a  necessity.  it  keeps  her  youthful ,  keeps  her  healthy.  she's  prone  to  mortal  injury ,  she  lives  forever  if  she's  smart  about  it.  but  it's  not  a  guarantee.  &  over  time ,  losing  so  much  love ,  her  heart  has  turned  cold  &  the  thrill  of  seducing  in  unexpecting  victims  is  all  she  needs  to  feel  whole.

NAME :     mike  hanlon AGE :     22 STUDYING :     english  literature YEAR OF STUDY :    third POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :     while  he  doesn't  fully  realise  it  in  that  moment  ,  mike  has  the  shine  ,  a  fusion  of  telepathy  &   clairvoyance  - -   which  only  happens  in  dreams  &  déjà - vu's.   he  doesn't  really  take  note  of  it  until  similar  things  happens  ,  but  calls  it  a  déjà - vu  moment.   this  happened  after  his  encounter  with  pennywise  the  first  time  ,  but  he  never  mentioned  it  to  anyone. IF STAYING IN DORMS, ANY PREFERENCES ON DORM MATE :    does  not  have  a  preference  for  a  dorm  mate. BRIEF ABOUT :     the  supernatural  world  only  really  opened  up  to  mike  after  fighting  pennywise  as  a  kid  with  the  other  losers.   the  dreams  started  shortly  after  he  first  encountered  it  at  the  meat  shop  ,  but  he  never  said  anything  because  he  didn't  want  people  to  look  at  him  differently.   graduating  high  school  alongside  the  other  losers  ,  mike  was  determined  to  become  focus  on  the  reading  he  did  in  high  school.   while  he  knows  he'll  never  become  a  writer  ,  he  does  want  to  know  all  about  books  &  what's  out  there  ,  including  the  constant  dreams  he  has. 

 his  first  year  in  college  ,  he  stayed  in  a  small  apartment  because  he  wasn't  feeling  exactly  confident  enough  to  stay  in  a  dorm  with  someone  else  due  to having  lived  on  his  own  in  derry.   but  ever  since  his  second  year  ,  despite  his  apartment  still  being  there  ,  he  lives  in  the  dorm  as well  ,  with  a  job  as  coffee  shop  barista  on  the  side.

NAME :  peter rumancek AGE :  19 STUDYING :  history YEAR OF STUDY :  first POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :  werewolf IF STAYING IN DORMS, ANY PREFERENCES ON DORM MATE :  no preference on dorm mates BRIEF ABOUT :  after a rather hectic year and a half living in hemlock grove, and events he won't talk about with anyone that wasn't there, peter moved to new york city with his best friend roman, in order to try and start a new life away from the mayhem that had taken place.  he lives in the dorms, while spending a lot of time with his friend. he studies history, and works part time as a mechanic in order to better fund his college career and new life.

NAME :    richie tozier AGE :    22 STUDYING :  writing for film & screen YEAR OF STUDY :   second POWER/ABILITY/SUPERNATURAL BEING/STORY ETC :   while richie himself has no supernatural powers/abilities etc, he fought pennywise when he was a teenager and was exposed to the supernatural world IF STAYING IN DORMS, ANY PREFERENCES ON DORM MATE :   no preference for room mate BRIEF ABOUT :    after fighting pennywise when he was a kid, richie was exposed to the supernatural world that he, up until then, didn't know much about. there were plenty of rumours in school about people being werewolves, demons and such. but richie never paid much attention to it, till this point. however, his experience didn't make him bitter at all. instead, richie simply opened up to the truth of the world he lived in and did all he could to learn about difference creatures and such. richie went on to graduate high school, and spent two years working as a DJ for his local radio station, before he decided to make the big move to new york city to study at the wildwood institute.

in this world, there are no secrets of the supernatural and the strange. everyone from werewolves to gods walk side by side. your neighbour could be one of them. but just because it's acceptable, just because it's common knowledge worldwide... doesn't mean everyone has to like it. doesn't mean that it's going to be smooth sailing...  

- in this world, all matter of supernatural, godly, horrific creatures exist. not every character you play needs to fall into one of these categories, but there at least needs to be some kind of history with these things.   examples being: hunters, characters that have fought/interacted with supernatural creatures.      whatever your choice, the fact is that it is completely normal for all manners of people to co-exist.   as is the way within this college in new york city.
