Days at sea were never dull. Sunsets, sunrises, rainbows and waves...

AMSTERDAM
Amsterdam greeted us with some chilly weather. The first evening I prepared to explore the city by throwing on some black leggings, a striped long-sleeve Zara shirt, a black pashmina, knee-high Frye boots and a leather jacket. We walked through the infamous Red Light district, sat at the Grasshopper on the canal and drank some Heineken's and enjoyed people watching. Trying my hardest not to get hit by a car, cyclist or train (as all three seem to move simultaneously throughout the city), I observed everything that this unique city had to offer. It struck me as very bohemian. Perhaps I should have sported one of my favorite boho looks but there was no time to waste worrying about what to wear. The following day, I hopped off the ship to see the Van Gough museum which exceeded my expectations. It was incredible to see some of my favorite paintings in person. Before getting back on the ship, I just had to take a corny tourist photo. Enjoy!

LONDON CALLING
Since I read my favorite magazines from back to front, I figured I'll post some highlights from my trip in reverse order. To be quite honest with you, it is somewhat overwhelming scrolling through hundreds of pictures each attached to a special memory. My goal is to highlight some outfits and snapshots that sum up what I experienced - although, words and pictures will never do justice. Our cruise ended outside of London in the early morning hours. It was sad to part with the endless beautiful sunrises and sunsets of being at sea. However, Harrod's soon made me forget the incredible ship I was parting with. All I have to say is, I've never seen so many stylish people in such close proximity to one another. I only had one day in London and chose to spend it inside Harrod's instead of on a double decker bus touring the city. Our charming boutique hotel, the Capital (which I am pictured outside of) was down the street from what I can only describe as the most amazing department store- ever! Between afternoon retail therapy and Mr. Chow for dinner, London spoiled me silly. Needless to say, I must return.

...And it's that time of year again - Fashion Week! While I am wishing I was in NYC to enjoy an epic Fashion's Night Out, I must apologize for my absence but I spent the past two weeks on the vacation of a lifetime. I'll be posting highlights soon. What is evening more exciting are the items I picked up along the way... I can't wait to blog them (especially the gifted items from Harrod's)!! Stay tuned...

Denim Love This is me in a nutshell... minus the heels (although I love them, I wouldn't be in them unless I was doing something other than strolling around). I L-O-V-E heels but you certainly won't find me in them 24/7. It's not that I can't walk in them or that I can't stand the ache my feet feel after being in them all day or night... It's that I am afraid of having feet that people cringe at. Have you ever seen a woman's toes who has been wearing heels for 20 or 30+ years? If you have, then you know what I'm talking about. Ladies, there are tons of adorably chic flats out there - invest in some.

Marchesa Vs. Notte by Marchesa When it comes to formal attire I am a huge Marchesa fan. Although I have far less "formal" occasions to attend than I'd like, I adore this strapless beaded silk-satin dress and the pleated silk-chiffon gown (Notte). Soon, I'll be embarking on the ultimate dream vacation. While I am in need of a gorgeous dress... it seems only one of these dresses is within my reach (and naturally, it is not the one I prefer). Fortunately, I've found a "plan B" dress that I believe will suit me just as well. But, first I'd like to know your thoughts on the black and white short number versus the royal blue gown design.

I'm proud to say that the incredible voice you hear by clicking that link is Bridget Kelly, my friend for life. This is the first track off of her soon to be released album, leaked early by the songwriter himself, Mr. Frank Ocean. While many may have thought it was his track... he penned it for my bestie although he posted it on his blog yesterday singing the track. Yes, Frank has a great voice but clearly I'm biased. You can judge for yourself - I promise you'll love this sneak peek which is just a small taste of what's to come. Bridget has always been a hard hitter, she never disappoints. Visit www.BridgetKelly.com or follow her on Twitter.

Sunsets & Sounds
Last night's sunset was spectacular. Glass of champagne in hand, I enjoyed watching the colors morph until darkness took over. It dawned on me that about 2 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to attend the U2/Florence and the Machine concert here in Miami and did not share any photos from it. It was such a fun experience and I'd like to think I was dressed perfectly for the occasion in a Navajo design long tank (F21), jean shorts, Pitusa headband and Jeffrey Campbell boots (which I have yet to share with you and didn't get the chance to photograph that evening).
Such an incredible stage!
