I'm so sorry for disappearing again. Unfortunately my Internet has been giving me major troubles lately, so getting any posts or the last couple of chapters up has been a real struggle 😓 but everything is working now so hopefully sometime tonight or tomorrow morning I'll be able to get the last couple of chapters of Dominoes up for y'all to enjoy! 😊

I genuinely hate how often the hate of tropes and clichés cycles through this app and every other internet community like fucking clockwork every few months. Yes, they're used a lot and can be predictable at times-- that's the point.

They're tropes and clichés for a reason. People like them, people look for work that contains this predictable, comfortable content that they like, that they understand. ESPECIALLY when those people are autistic or have ADHD or OCD or a million other neurodivergencies. There's comfort and reliability in the predictability of familiar content that you already know you like. It takes the pressure off of finding content you want to consume, when you can search for ones with those same tropes and clichés you know and like, especially when they're common.

Not every work in the world has to be a ground-breaking, never before seen, perfectly thought out and flawless manuscript. Sometimes you just need to read raunchy, low-effort, predictable sludge; and sometimes you (especially those of us who are neurodivergent) just need a story that follows a familiar, predictable path, just with a new spin, take or voice to tell it.

There's nothing wrong with predicability, with overused clichés or tropes. And there's especially nothing wrong with your story being the story you want to tell, no matter what dirtysocks574774757 has to say about it.

Tell the story you want to tell, and don't let randos on the internet whose only joy in life is tearing down the joys and creativities of others tell you anything different.

Hello friends! I'm sorry for being so MIA for so long, but my health took a very rapid nosedive very fast, lol. But I'm hopefully back a little more consistently now, with plans to actually start adhering to my upload schedule starting soon 😅

And with my return, I wanted to announce that not only do I plan on uploading all of the remaining five chapters of HOW FATED DOMINOES FALL onto tapas this weekend, split between Saturday and Sunday, but I also have a very fun teaser to come this weekend as well, with a full announcement that I think you'll all be very excited about, very soon 👀😏

I will admit, however, that the upload of the remaining chapters was meant to happen today, leaving only the very last chapter to go up Saturday as usual, but I had a medical emergency with my cat last night that had me at the kitty ER until three a.m., so unfortunately that was not able to happen, much as I wanted to be able to share my lovely, aggressively queer and adoringly Indigenous work with you all on this horrible holiday that celebrates the murder of my people-- I had so desperately wanted to distract from the reminder of what today is, had wanted to celebrate Indigenous life, love and creativity instead. But alas, things did not go to plan. But I hope you all love the conclusion of HOW FATED DOMINOES FALL nonetheless, and that you're all very excited for what's to come soon (:
