So... are what SU characters are Shadow and Espio gonna based on?

while the characters in this au aren't gonna be 1:1 with the SU characters, shadow is kinda going to be based on Pink/Rose. He's an artificial diamond created to replace a deceased one (possibly Maria) by Black Doom, who's equivalent to White in this AU. He goes through the same stuff as Pink, but is more openly rebellious about it and dislikes his fellow diamonds a lot more than Pink did. In fact that's how he meets Espio, Espio was supposed to be a gift to "curb" Shadow's rebellious streak.

Meanwhile with Espio, he's more a mix. He's kinda based on Pearl and Sapphire, with a little bit of padparadscha. He's an off color sapphire (his future sight is actually really good, but he's unable to isolate timelines and control how far into the future he sees, so his accuracy is inefficient) that was hiding out with the rest of the Chaotix and found. Doom would have shattered him, but Eclipse (yellow) suggested to give him to Shadow, since he "liked them (off colors.)" He gets incredibly devoted to Shadow like Pearl was to Pink, until he takes him down to earth with him.

Overall though genuinely I think it's one of my favorite Tails voices!! Lainie Frasier did such a good job it's honestly criminal we never heard her Tails voice again, it's so fitting especially for classic Tails

I was laughing my ass off for three months gay because of this. By the time I finally drew it, I forgot a lot of nuanced detail I initially thought of, but oh well. It still funei. There were certain parts I wanted to emphasize more, but I forced myself to get it all sketched out in one sitting. You can probably tell I started running out of steam partway through. I thought I'd redraw it better later, but it's been two+ months, sooooo I decided to just clean it up enough to make it presentable instead.

I added emotional whiplash at the end because I'm incapable of separating the Silly from the Serious in everything I make. 8V Instead of just clocking this as 100% ooc, I thought maybe it could be partially based on how Tails experiments on himself and effs himself up sometimes. Idk what the frig would have resulted in this nonsense, but it's an idea. Tails, be careful. Don't be frakking up your brain, dog! I dunno if Kit can actually carry your heavy ass. o-o;
