So these two are childhood friends? I can actually see Sonny considering her as, like, a second little sister and wanting to PROTECT HER AT ANY COSTS. And basically now that she lives with them, trying to keep her from, um, finding out what exactly their business is?

Okay so. Toooootes have to talk about these two, heehee. So they dated a while ago? (I creeped on your comments and saw that you said maybe sometime in their early/midtwenties which is totes fine with me.)

Okay so I don't know how deeply you want them to each have been committed to the relationship. Most people thought they would eventually marry? Well if that's the case and that's the belief that they were both operating under, then maybe they broke up because they both knew they weren't ready for that kind of commitment and when Sonny took over as underboss then they could maybe try again and marry?

But I feel like Sonny's dating and proposing to Lucy was an act of rebellion and he really didn't put a whole lot of thought into it and kind of forgot about Lia during that moment but maybe he really does miss her and wish something had come of their relationship?

These two do still work together don't they? I totes think that their past relationship wouldn't affect their business relationship at all and I can totes see Sonny respecting Lia professionally and being pretty glad that she's on their side and not against them, ahaha.

So, yeah. Thoughts?

Uncle of miiiiiiine. Okay so I think these two would actually get on pretty well? Especially before Sonny's, um, ~promotion. These two actually have a lot of the same qualities and maybe they were, like, buds for years? Or something of that sort?

But then after Alfonso's heart attack, I think that might've changed a little bit? Because I think Sonny would actually really value Franco's opinion and ideas and maybe look up to him as a role model. But then after his promotion when basically no one thinks he's ready, if Franco admitted that freely, Sonny would probably just lump him in with everyone else and might not trust him as much? So idk how that sounds. Thoughts?

Okay so. Sonny is finally hereeeee. Okay now tell me all the sad Elena things?? Because I can totes see things going, like, one of two ways with Sonny/Elena.

1) I can see Sonny seeing her as a precious little flower or, like, china pot and basically TRIES TO PROTECT HER AT ANY COST because hey she's fragile and might break (esp after being, um, shot).

Or, 2) I can see him thinking that maybe if Elena had all the right ~tools that Elena would be able to take care of herself. And maybe wanted to teach her how to shoot or something not so she could join the Family but so she could at least protect herself if need be and that's how he thought he could protect her as well. But maybe no one would let him teach her and that's always been irksome since she was shot and IF THEY WOULD'VE LET HIM TEACH HER TO DEFEND HERSELF THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED.

I can also see Sonny being SO COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY FREAKED OUT when Elena was shot and like storming in the hospital and demanding to see her and like LET ME AT WHOEVER DID THIS TO HER. YOU HURT MY SISTER AND I WILL KILL YOU. But then maybe someone talked him out of it/talked sense into him before he could go on that ramage? (Or just, like, decided it was more Tony's fight?)

So, yeah. Thoughts? What shall we do with these two?? XDD

*waves* Hi Will!! ... Okay so I'm honestly not ocming up with any bright ideas for these two. Unless maybe they somehow meet and Sonny doesn't know he's a cop and, well, you know Sonny and his big mouth. Unless it's literally family secrets that YOU DON'T TELL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, if they met in a bar or something, Will is definitely apt to walk out knowing just who Sonny is and that maybe if he could get close to Sonny and get him super drunk or mad or something, he might be able to find something out o.o

OH WOW. I SO AGREE. THESE TWO WILL BE THE DEATH OF ME. BECAUSE ALL THE FEELS I HAVE ALREADY. aksljdfksdf *sobs* (Also I'm working on Sonny's playlist and I found a super perfect song for him but it totes sounds like he's talking right to his bros AND MY FEELS HELP)

Okay so, *tries to collect thoughts* I feel like Sonny and Mike were definitely pretty close when they were younger and since they were the only two kids for a while, Sonny was always pretty protective of Tony. But I definitely agree that things probably changed when Mike was born (and Elena). Because I feel like there was a little bit of a shift there, especially when it came to the Family. I think after Mike decided that he didn't want to be part of the Family, Sonny decided that Mike and Elena needed to be Protected From Family Matters At All Costs and because Sonny and Tony were already corrupted, there was nothing he could do about that. And maybe that's when Sonny and Tony started to grow apart? Because while they were both trying to care for their younger siblings, they kind of lost each other in the process? WOW OKAY MY FEELS.

Also, Tony came back from Vegas, like, a completely different person? Well that's going to sit well with Sonny. Not. He's probably going to be completely and totally freaked out and basically like "and what have you done with my brother?" and well that's going to just do wonders for their relationship o.o

I have this little feeling that these two WILL BREAK ME. I feel like Tony kinda grew up in Sonny’s shadow. In a way, I think he was kinda the responsible one until Mike was born? It was the two of them and Tony just kinda admired his big brother. He kind of hero-worshipped him, I think? And kind of wanted to be just like him I CRY. I feel like Mike’s birth changed things though. Suddenly, Tony was a big brother, himself, and he started to think about what ~Mike might need and about providing for him, about being a good role model, about ensuring his best future in what limited way a child does, yknow? I FEEL LIKE I’M NOT MAKING SENSE. I actually made notes about this somewhere and right now it’s waaaaaaaaaay past my bed time so like I don’t think I’m being coherent BUT I HAVE ALOT OF FEELINGS TINA

Oh man. That sounds absolutely amazing. I was mostly thinking that Sonny would totally flirt the pants off Tess but I think she actually might not mind? So maybe they are, like, drinking buddies or something? (During which sometimes Tess might try to convince Sonny to get back with Lia, hahaha.) But oh man. These two sound like they could be so so fun. Ahhh. Love it!!

Tess would quite like Sonny, I think. I mean, she wants him for her cousin, Lia, tbh bc she wants her cousin to have everything she ever wanted plus some tbh buuuuut I can see her having a good time with Sonny bc idk I feel like they’re pr similar in alot of ways. Certainly, they can both be rash which might be a bit dangerous, but then Tess likes a little danger, too. HAHAHAH

Hmmm. Okay so I don't know if this would work but I might have a way that these two could meet? So Declan owns a bar? Does Saoirse maybe work there sometimes?

Because I totes talked to Lizzy about Lucy's death and she said that should be happening soonish (Lizzy's a genius and already had that in the next round of plots, hahaha) so maybe when Lucy dies Sonny finds out ALL THE THINGS about her life and her past and he goes to Boston to find Sarah and he happens to go to Declan's bar and boom, meets Saoirse? I can actually see these two getting on pretty well and maybe becoming friends or something like that?

Which would probably make things even worse when Saoirse finally learns about Declan's mafia ties because OH WOW. FRIENDS WITH THE ENEMY ALL ALONG AND DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT O.O And, you know, that's always fun, ahaha.

So, thoughts? Would that, um, even work? XDD

She’s from Ireland, coming to visit her big bro, Declan, in Boston (unaware of what she’s stepping into), having just suffered a devastating break up. so…yeah. Idk HAHAHA

Ahahaha oh man. If Sonny finds out that Rose is actually Lucy's sister he's going to be like UM. WELL THIS AN UNEXPECTED DEVELOPMENT. And you will basically be able to see the wheels turning in his head which is always fun, ahaha.

Okay but, anyway, I can see Sonny reacting to Mike and Rose's friendship in one of two ways:

1) He'll be super mad at Mike (especially if Mike brings Rose anywhere near the Family) because why would he get someone else involved in this/bring someone else this close to the family. Though I think it's mostly a ~secrets thing because random people walking around in his house tend to ask questions and those questions are probably ones they ought not to be answered.

But then, 2) I could see him being happy for Mike having a friend and having a connection ~outside of the family and well, any friend of Mike's is a friend of Sonny's. And also considering that Mike doesn't really have any ties to the family so it doesn't really matter.

So either of those sounding good? I can totes see either one being pretty plausible for Sonny. It kind of all depends on his mindset when he meets Rose? If he's in hardcore underboss-have-to-prove-myself mode, then, well, that wouldn't be so great for Rose, haha. But yeah. Thoughts?

Ok, so Rose is actually kinda straddling the line. Obv, you know about her sister, Sarah, in Boston (and her unknown sister, Lucy). Hahahaha! Well, Rose and Cass Carter are currently living in NYC and, by coincidence, Rose is BFFs with Mike Moretti. In the mean time, Aaron Donovan is keeping tabs on the Carters in order to help keep Sarah in line. IN ANY CASE, all this means that she could potentially meet Sonny but like idk how he’d feel about these things? (Esp if it comes out that she’s his unwitting future sister-in-law HAHAHAHAAH)

OH MAN. I KNOW THOSE FEELS. I mean, my Godfather sibling feels were already strong. BUT NOW I HAVE MORETTI SIBLING FEELS ON TOP OF THEM. AND JUST. *sobs loudly*

Okay so, let's see. *collects thoughts* At first I totes think Sonny would've been trying to get everyone into the family business because that's honestly the only life he's ever known and he doesn't really see any other option besides that one? But then maybe when he saw there was another path, he decided it was better to protect his younger siblings. So I can totes see Sonny now being super protective of Mike and Elena and basically not wanting them near the Family because they're precious little flowers who need to sprout in someone else's garden, ahaha.

Though I actually feel Sonny would be really, really weird about this. Like, on the one hand, he would want Mike in the family but then also not. So if Mike did end up wanting more duties or something because of their father's heart attack (my brain is now refusing to distinguish between Mike Moretti and Mike Corleone o.o) then Sonny would begrudingly be like "what took you so long?" but then give him some little safe job like picking up his dry cleaning or something. Which actually sounds hilarous.

Sonny: Hey, Mikey. I got a job for you. I need you to go get this. *hands him a slip of paper*Mike: But this is a dry cleaning ticket. Sonny: *quickly covers Mike's mouth* Shh! I don't want everyone knowing you have such an important job. They'll wonder why I didn't give it to them.

But yeah. I totes agree that maybe now things will be different between Mike and Sonny now that their older. But I can still see them looking at one another a little unsure of why the other has chosen the life they're leading and basically not really knowing/understanding each other very well. But at the same time, I think maybe now they might talk more and begin to understand each other and maybe have those conversations that could actually start a relationship between them. They also totes have a pretty big age gap, don't they? Almost ten years? So when Mike was still a kid, Sonny was probably already well into the Family and on his way to being the underboss and yeah. The, like, ~rift between them when they were younger probably started pretty early.

AND WOW. ALL THE FEELS I'M HAVING RIGHT NOW DON'T LOOK AT ME. *sobs because these two are already hurting me so deeply*

THE MORETTI SIBLINGS WILL END ME. DON’T LOOK NOW BUT THESE ARE ACTUAL TEARS. ~cries forever. 

Okay, so where to even start with these two??? (THE SONNY/MIKE CORLEONE FEELS ARE ALREADY GETTING AT ME) So, Mike loves all of his siblings, but I think (in the past) he probably has been the least close with Sonny, just b/c I feel like their idea of “fun” is like polar opposite???) And I can see Sonny trying to get Mike to do things and Mike is like HAHA NO. (Although, I can see that changing b/c Elena is kinda distant now, despite Mike’s better efforts, and he’s like whoa wtf happened to Tony in Vegas and might actually find himself closest with Sonny anymore, haha) BUT OKAY, and so insofar as who should take over, Mike is basically like SONNY OR TONY I DON’T CARE JUST DON’T LOOK AT ME. And I think he probably tries to make this pretty clear, so I don’t think that would ever really be a source of tension between them. 

Also, Mike has never really wanted to have any part in the business and just wants to be a doctor and have a ~normal life, but idk if that’s something that Sonny would understand or not? I have a feeling that most of his family is like, “… but why??” Ofc, with the war starting, he’s like, “Okay, well I’m going to help with this, b/c I can’t abandon my family during all of this,” and sees himself getting out when it’s all over and HAHA I LAUGH B/C EVEN MIKE SHOULD KNOW BETTER THAT IT WON’T BE THAT EASY.

Ahahaha. Oh wow. I don't even know where to start with this. Okay so I'm actually thinking Sonny might completely and totally hate Alek (esp if he does know what kind of person he is) and wonder why his father even trusts him and oh man just basically spend his life being super cautious about Alek. (And honestly, I think his first act as head of the family would probably be to get rid of Alek, not even joking.)

So, since he's Sonny he probably doesn't really hide his contempt all that way and I'm guessing that would amuse Alek to no end. Because ahahaha look at the little insubordinate child. I would so enjoy killing him and eating his liver with some fava beans. ... OKAY WOW. THAT WAS HANNIBAL TALKING. IGNORE ME.

And ahaha. Alek thinking Sonny would ever change. *slaps knee* He really doesn't know Sonny at all, does he? XDD So I'm guessing maybe they would have a little, um, heart to heart about some of Sonny's super awesomepants decisions when Alek gets back? And when that doesn't work, thus begins Operation Get-Rid-of-Sonny? Which totes works for me.

Oh and I actually really, really like the idea of Alek attacking Sonny one night and then blaming Sonny. Though maybe Sonny doesn't actually end up killing him but then Alek himself can tell everyone about Sonny's attack and then when no one believes Sonny and sides with Alek and then try to work on outing him, yay another thing to send Sonny off the deep end o.o Wow Sonny. Who needs enemies when you've got friends like these, basically.

But oh man. DEFINITELY LIKE THE ALEK PUSHING SONNY TOWARD AARON THING. That definitely sounds awesome, ahaha. Though Kate and I had discussed Aaron and Sonny meeting a few times and, like, never finishing the job any of those times. And eventually when the last time comes around they both just kind of kill each other. So maybe Alek is actually with Sonny a few of those times and helps "save" him from Aaron to prove his loyalty or something like that but the last time he's like "lol nope" and just lets him die. Oh man. I can see the look in Sonny's eyes, though, if that happens. He'd be like "I knew I shouldn't have trusted you." *dead*

WOW OKAY. SO THIS IS A SUPER STRANGE RELATIONSHIP BUT I LIKE IT. AHHH.

Okay, so this is Alek and how do I even begin b/c WHOA TALK ABOUT A MAN WITH ISSUES?!??!?! So like, he’s been working for the Moretti family for a really long time (almost twenty years, atp) and he managed to save the Don’s life and basically earned everyone’s trust and respect and is probably just under Adam Cassidy in the ~rankings. And like he doesn’t like most ppl, but Alfonso Moretti is basically god to him, and so he therefore loves his family, too, and this includes Sonny, although if Sonny wasn’t Alfonso’s son, he’d probs hate his guts tbh, haha. 

So as far as their relationship throughout the years goes, I feel like Alek would just let himself be amused, rather than annoyed, with Sonny’s behavior?? And like he’s always known that Sonny is Alfonso’s heir and will be his boss someday, and he’s cool with that. And he expects Sonny will calm down under his father’s training and become the man that can lead the family and blah, blah, blah. 

Okay, since Alek’s been out in Las Vegas with Tony for these last few years, however, he’s basically been able to like slowly manipulate Tony into the man Alek thinks he should be and idk it’s very unhealthy and idek it’s me and Kate, what did you expect??? So when Alek gets back to New York and spends an extended period with Sonny and realizes that he hasn’t changed AT ALL (plus he has a striper girlfriend ahah Alek will be SO PLEASED) and that the Don’s sick and that Sonny will be in charge probs pretty soon and in the middle of the war, Alek like internally freaks out. 

And he thinks that it should go to Tony: Tony is calm and calculating and ruthless and cruel and basically a mini-Alek in training, haha, so ofc he’s Alek’s pick and Alek truly thinks that having Tony in charge is the best thing for the family, so if the Don does die and Sonny’s in charge, Alek is going to have some major problems with this. To the point where I think it’ll either be him or Alek. 

So like, originally, I was thinking that a) Alek might kill Sonny and frame the Connoghans or b) slowly start to plant doubt in everyone’s mind about Sonny and then attack Sonny one night, and basically lets Sonny kill him. And then Sonny will be all “Alek tried to kill me and so I had to kill him” And since everyone knows that Alek has NO LIFE OUTSIDE OF THE MORETTIS HE LIVES TO SERVE NO LIE and if they were having concerns about Sonny before, might start to think about replacing him. And basically use his own death to get rid of Sonny.

But then, I think I read somewhere that you and Kate were planning on having Aaron kill Sonny ??? And if that’s the case, I can see Alek like trying to push Sonny to go after him and kinda really ignite that fire and like he might even be there when Aaron kills Sonny and just kinda lets him??? 

OKAY WOW END RANT. I JUST HAVE A LOT OF WEIRD FEELS/IDEAS?!??!

Sonny's brows shot into the air and returned into place as an "ah" escaped him. His hands folded across his chest as he tried to remember what had been doing just moments before. He was still riddled with exhausted and wished, absently, that he could sleep. But he knew trying would only be a lost cause.

"I was doing, uh, research for one of my father's business deals. Trying to stay ahead while he's recovering." As he said this, he continued to watch as studied the bread box. "Here let me."

He crossed the room in only a few strides and then he was beside her. "What are you looking for? White, wheat, rye? You name it, we've got it." He gave her a soft smile as he pulled two slices of wheat out for himself and juggled them while pulling a plate from the cabinet. He freed another one for her and set it next to his own then he turned to her, a brow raised as he waited for her answer.

"You're lucky you can sleep," he said with a slight sigh. "Most nights I spend either locked up in my father's study or roaming the house, waiting for morning." He realized, as he said this, that this probably wasn't information he should be sharing. His insomnia was his own battle to face and one that he constantly lost, at that. He laughed a little as he quickly changed the subject. "So, are you staying tonight or, uh, heading back home? It's a little late to be leaving, if you are."

He trailed off, not at all sure why he'd said this either. What was it with him and conversations in the middle of the night? Clearly, he wasn't at his best when riddled with exhaustion. He should just give up now, while she still thought him a drunk who hit on her at parties. At least that was an image he was comfortable with. There was nothing unusual about it, anyway.

But, yet, he found himself staring at her now and couldn't remember a single reason why he'd thought ill of her. Well, except for the obvious. His mother's obsession with throwing him in Emma's path. That had been the real root of his behavior at the party. Maybe, just maybe, if his mother saw them getting along together, she'd think her plan had worked and leave them be. It turned out, his behavior toward Emma had had the exact opposite effect on his mother. She was delighted. And she showed her delight by trying to throw them together even more.

Well, until his father's untimely heartattack. But that had proved only a momentary setback for his mother. As soon as she'd been assured of his father's recovery, she'd turned her attention right back to Emma and Sonny ... much to everyone's dismay.

Though as they stood here in the kitchen, Sonny could see what his mother saw in Emma. She was different when they were here, alone. But, then again, that could still have been the exhaustion talking. He figured they'd be back to hating each other in the morning. But, why not at least have tonight?

"So," he said as he gestured toward the bread box. "What will it be?"
