Son of Rosemary by Ira Levin
OK. This book sucked me in. I read it in a 12-13 hour sitting. I loved it. The writing was excellent. I enjoyed everything about the book. There were a bunch of MAJOR plot twists. And the ending….OMG! I loved everything about the story. Just when you think you have everything figured out, one of those plot twists happen and it throws you for a loop. The characters were well written, too. Levin made me actually like Rosemary’s son but that caused an internal dilemma for me. I knew he was the son of Satan and you were supposed to not like him and not trust him for that reason. But he was also the Rosemary’s son and a very likable person.
***SPOILER***
There is an anagram that Levin put in the book that I cannot figure out and he doesn’t say what it means. It drove me crazy while reading the book and still driving me crazy. I searched the net and can’t find an exact answer.

I can live the rest of my life in comfort knowing nothing will ever disappointment me as much as the ending of Son of Rosemary.

Scanned front cover of Son of Rosemary, by Ira Levin, a sequel to his book Rosemary’s Baby, which was adapted for film by Roman Polanski. This one isn’t one of my ex-library books (I actually purchased it from a bookshop years ago, but only just got round to reading it). Ira Levin never disappoints.

30 Day Book Challenge Day 7: The worst book you’ve read in the last year
Son of Rosemary by Ira Levin, 1997.
Not only was this sequel unnecessary, but it was utterly ridiculous until the very ending. That’s when it became insultingly bad.
