Dia blushed slightly, flattered by the compliments given to her. Her fashion sense had been a point of pride for her and now the compliments were starting to make her a little flustered- not that her expression particularly reflected that. 

“I’m Dia. I’m mostly just looking for… something nice to wear on a date? Or maybe just…” She rotated her wrist, attempting to drum up the right word she wanted to say, “I need dress…es.” 

Her brain was slowly frying under the combined weight of having a date, being complimented, and having a far more outgoing personality interacting with her more muted one. 

She inhaled slowly, steadying herself, and gently exhaled. She just needed to readjust herself. 

   Upon hearing the word ‘date’ a small gasp of excitement left Luna’s lips, immediately placing both hands above her heart in response. Her  romantic life was nearly non-existent, so living through a complete stranger was as close as she was going to get at this point. 

   “A date?” She repeated, squeaking out the words with a grin plastered on her face. “How exciting! Where are you going...? What are you doing?” She paused, thinking over her own past encounters on the island and the... interesting people she’d met so far. Was there even anyone around that would warrant such excitement? Especially from such an elegant girl (which seemed to be a rare find here).

   “Is he like, worth dressing up for?” For such a high class woman to settle for someone was the last thing Luna would want to witness -- which in her mind justified her apparent nosiness.

Lillian met the confused gaze of the pink-haired girl. “Hello, don’t worry I’m not here to sell you anything.” She began, “I’m actually an employee of the ARG…”

“I wanted to…personally thank you for finding and donating the key you found. It’s very important.” Especially important to Lillian herself.

She held out the bag of cookies to Luna. “I wanted to give you these cookies I baked as a thank you. Please accept them if you’d like.”

   Luna titled her head, processing what the girl was saying while leaning against the open door, preparing to close it if need be. Did her employer set her up to this? Some door-to-door spiel? 

   Luna felt her face redden as the brunette woman offered the cookies in front of her. She came to offer her a gift? For that dirty rusty key she found out in the middle of nowhere?

   “ I, ah.. Thank you. Sorry if I came off a rude. ”  She admitted, taking the bag from her with a quick embarrassed nod. “ Can I ask... Why though? Why is that key such a big deal. I found it out when looking for some stuff to sell and kept it thinking no one would buy that old thing. “

    The fall season was already in full swing as far as the fashion world was concerned, and Luna was horribly far behind on fall designs. Taking a walk for inspiration was a go-to for the pink haired designer, so any sort of art block led her down the city streets. The relaxing part of the walk however, only lasted a few minutes, before she felt a full force collide into her.

   It took a few moments for her to regain her surroundings, as Luna lay sprawled out on the street, trying to process what had just happened. Eventually she hopped back onto her feet, huffing and puffing as she dusted dirt off. 

      “Sorry? How about you like, watch where you’re going instead! How were you even walking that fast, I feel like I got hit by a truck, not a person! “

“Hmmmm…”

Tina, with her short legs, had gotten into the habit of powerwalking wherever she went. It had been necessary when she was in school; she had to get from one end of campus to the other on a time crunch, keep up with tall people who were also on a time crunch, and get to lunch, also on a time crunch. At any given time, Tina was on a time crunch.

The streets of Abyssal City were tight and busy enough that keeping a quick pace could be dicey; if she wanted to avoid running into people, it was in her best interest to pay attention to where she was going. But that was too much to expect of her when she had something on her mind. Fully aware that it wasn’t a great idea, Tina pored over a memo pad, wiggling her pencil between her fingers. “If it’s like that, then – waah!!” 

Her train of thought – and her path, for that matter – were suddenly interrupted as she ran practically headfirst into someone else. “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” she said, stooping down to retrieve the pencil she’d dropped.

It was rare for Dia to have the time to get away from her work. Be it for one reason or another, it was just incredibly difficult to get a break. But today was one of the few days she was free to break away, and she decided that she was going to indulge herself. 

She had heard about the boutique from a few of the female employees that she worked with, and she figured she would give it a shot. 

The shop was small, but charming, and the clothing on display was definitely to her taste. Some brighter than she would prefer, but the designs were what she wanted. 

Dia had only just walked through the door as the pink haired owner cheerfully greeted her. It must’ve been slow today, given the quietness of the store and how excited the owner seemed to be. 

“Oh thank you.” She smiled mildly, genuinely attempting to seem friendly, “I bought it off island while visiting family. The island here doesn’t have many fashion outlets.” 

   Luna shook her head in agreement with the other, huffing loudly as she crossed her arms across her chest. “ Pfft -- you’re so right. ” She replied with a chuckle. “ You’re like, the first well dressed person I've seen since I arrived here. I’m just so relieved to see they exist --! “

   A small giggle escaped from her, turning her pout into a smile as she relaxed in the presence of the woman. “ My name’s Luna, by the way. I’m kinda honored someone with such good fashion sense decided to stop in here. ♪ “  Which, was only a half lie -- if she owned the place, it would be obviously the best place to shop, but the petite woman was just an employee - for now.

    “ Oh ♪ And can I help you find anything in particular? We just received and put out our fall season stock. ♥ “

   Luna had been laying on her bed, idly checking her phone when she heard the sudden knock at her apartment door.A quick look of confusion crossed her small face as she tried to recall if she was expecting any visitors.

   Walking up to the door, she opened it slightly, revealing the face of a young woman. The brunette stranger seemed friendly, so Luna responded by further opening the door to meet her. 

              “ Hello? Uhm, if you’re selling something i’m really not interested ---”

She had gotten the girl’s address from the ARG. Honestly, Lillian truly wanted to thank her for finding the key and helping them all get closer to their goal of opening that god-forsaken door in the abyss.

Part of Lillian hoped she didn’t seem too intimidating, she had a bad case of resting bitch face, but the other part of her didn’t really care. Maybe the gift she brought would…help?

The brunette explorer had baked cookies and packed them in a cloth bag to give to Luna. She’d never really met this girl before, but still. She had to be thanked.

Taking a breath, Lillian knocked on the door to Luna’s house.

 Idle time was wasted time to the pink haired designer. Although it had been a slow day for sales, Luna had kept herself busy in anyway she could, including her current job of organizing the back room. It was awfully boring, but an organized store was a welcoming store -- it all ended up in profit.

   The chime of the bell from the front door was faint from the back, but Luna’s keen ears picked up on it right away. 

      “Coming~♪” 

    She nearly bounced over to the woman who had just entered, clapping her hands together as she gave her best cheery smile. 

     “ Hello ♥ Welcome! Can I help you find anything today? “

Taking better note of the stranger, Luna realized she was incredibly well-dressed. Something rather uncommon on this isolated island, and it was a relief to see someone around here had some taste.

    “ I totally adore that outfit by the way -- where did you find it? “

Do I Know You? } Luna/Claire

   Living on the edge -- literally, not figuratively -- had made Luna a bit more anxious than she’d like to admit, so making an excuse to go visit the inner parts of the Island seemed like the best course of action. 

  One she immediately regretted however, when she arrived in the middle area of the island. The scenery was nice, she’d give it that -- but that’s all there was. It was a quiet and desolate area, and the smell of farms and animals hit her almost immediately. 

Taking a moment to adjust to everything, Luna looked around some more for some signs of life -- human life. She caught a glimpse of blonde, and turning to see who it belonged to, squinted as she seemingly remembered the figure. Would could forget those overalls after all?

“Hello? Sorry -- I feel like I know you from somewhere. But uh, then again maybe I’m wrong. You don’t seem like someone I would of found in the city.” The petite pink haired girl didn’t even try to bite the bite behind her words. It was true.

    The rush of excitement from moving to a new town had almost worn off, as Luna now let the daunting task of attuning herself to her new ‘home’. Work as simple, as it wasn’t too far from her apartment complex. But coffee -- good coffee had been quite elusive to the small pinkette. 

     Desperate for some caffeine after an excruciatingly boring shift, Luna decided it was time she just stopped and asked the next person who happened to catch her eye. (After all, she was desperate.) Seeing a figure approach in the distance down the walkway, she hopped off the bench she had been seated at and stood in-front of the stranger’s path, hopefully stopping them from advancing away.

    “Hello? ♥” She chimed, putting on her best pout as she waved a hand at the figure. “Are you from here? I’ve been looking for a coffee shop all over -- I just moved here -- and I’ve had no luck. I was hoping you could help me? ♪”
