A lot of these are intended to drive traffic to "AI detector" websites and apps. I put that in quotes because they're all garbage and flag everything as AI. These things are the bane of every student and writer at this point.

If you reply to the bot comments, you'll often get a followup reply mentioning one of those sites/apps, unintentionally giving them the exposure they want, so don't even reply. Delete and move on.

Unfortunately, it's caused some fanfic writers to delete their work/account after some people didn't realize these were bot comments, and then dogpiled the author on social media for "using AI".

Heads up, folks: If you get a mean comment from a guest account trashing your story and mentioning AI (ChatGPT, Sudo, Holo, etc.), it's a bot comment.

There's a new wave, and the comments are pretty varied and hurtful, but they're bots. Don't delete or report—mark as spam instead.

Examples I've seen:

Is this supposed to be a story or an AI experiment gone wrong?

Did you even glance at ChatGPT's output before slapping it on the page?

NovelAI's stories are like fast food: cheap, unsatisfying, and ultimately forgettable.

After a month, THIS FUCKER IS DONE, OMG

So, this started out as just a shit post of a drawing after this cloak and a pic of Data just aligned perfectly (see below) on my Pinterest board, I drew it out in my sketchbook, then it took a MONTH to color him. Them boom. Wizard Data be upon ye. Rejoice.

How’s your fibrous dysplasia treatment going?

Hello, and thank you for asking! ❤️

It’s not going, unfortunately. Currently, there’s no cure for FD, although there is one experimental treatment that’s available to me. The drug has been shown to slow or stop the growth altogether, which would be great. The downside is that preliminary studies showed that when the drug is stopped, the FD grows even faster than before. So me and my doctors are still considering whether or not it’s worth it to give it a try. I’m leaning toward yes, because I can’t really afford to have any more of this grow and crush my brain again.

My very excellent neurosurgeon removed only as much of my skull as was safe (the part directly affecting my brain). Any more goes further into the skull base, which is increasingly dangerous, so it’s sort of on an emergency basis. Otherwise, I’ll need more craniotomies to keep this under control. Boo 😤

Despite the FD and encephalomalacia and seizures, I’m still here. Android nonsense must continue 🫡

“Interruption” — but there are situations dashes may be outside.
