...Did the animators visited PEI for this anime?! The flowers, the red dirt, the look of Green Gables' interior, THE TREES, the clothes!
I just might have to watch this, if only for East Coast pride. :3
The Anne Shirley Opening dropped and Naoko Yamada has delivered yet another masterpiece.
Love everything about it, be it the song or the animation itself. It captures her personality so well, as well as the nature of the show. Just the way they captured her body language is perfect.
Some really strong openings this anime spring season, but this is a top contender.

Sorakh's thoughts on Super Robot Wars Y so far
So all the Franchises have been revealed! Now it's time for thoughts about where in the series everyone is from!
Gundam UC (since Zeta and CCA are together)- Can be taken just about anywhere, I guess? Being a SRW staple, anything is game here, including a lack of Char. The question is, are we having show!Kamille or movie!Kamille?
GWing- It's the movie, but is it plot, or is it post-plot?
GSEED Destiny- And where in the plot are we here?
GGundam- Same as Destiny, really.
GWitch- We are clearly focusing on the plot of THIS story if we're to have a specific Gundam focus, since it's the anime's first entry. Can't wait to see what the other series will influence on its plot.
Dunbine Duo- Are we gonna pull off a SRWT Dunbine plot again? Because that was seriously cool.
L-Gaim- I enjoyed the cast in 30, so welcome back! I have a feeling their plot's coming with them, too.
Godzilla- I don't know this franchise very well, but it's also very welcome and I can't wait to learn more about Singular Point!
Getter Robo Arc- from what I know of Arc, this is the one that has Ryoma's son as the pilot instead of Ryoma himself. Can't wait to be properly introduced and see what of the plot they're using!
Lelouch of the Re;surrection- I am also curious of where in the plotline this is. Always fun to have Code Geass around, if only for the fact Kallen and Kamille tends to be friends when those two are in the same SRW games.
Macross Delta- Don't know much about it, so I don't know what plot they're using. But welcome back Macross as a whole!
Dynazenon- HOOOOLY SHIT AM I EXCITED TO SEE THIS. We had Gridman in 30, so I'm happy to see this!
Combattler V- Oooh, I wonder how they're gonna work this group in. It's not post-plot considering we see Garuda, but is this before or after Hyoma loses his arms? (Or will Hyoma even lose his arms in the first place?)
Raideen- Welcome back, Raideen! Not sure how this one will fit plot-wise, but it's wonderful to see old standbys return!
Majestic Prince- Okay, this is one I'm curious how they'll use the plot for. They did most of it in 30, after all...
Mazinkaiser- WELCOME BACK RETRO MAZINGER I am hyped to see the SRW rendition of this mecha wreck some faces again. Aaaand it seems there might be plot happening!
Banpresto OGs- Oh shit, VXT crew! Glad to see them again! Aaaand of course Masaki also appears; when doesn't he appear. (No, but seriously, as a bigass Masaki fangirl I am always happy when he appears- he's probably the Masaki from X and T's Expansion, too.)

MY SHOOOOOOOOW
(Also, since it's mentioned: Esteban's Japanese voice actress is none other than Dragon Ball's Goku's voice actress, Nozawa Masako!)
Noam Kaniel - The Mysterious Cities of Gold 1982
Esteban: Child of the Sun, known outside of Japan as The Mysterious Cities of Gold (French: Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or), is a French-Japanese anime series, animated by Studio Pierrot. Mitsuro Kaneko (MK Productions) wanted to make an animated series based on the young adult fiction novel The King's Fifth by Scott O'Dell; a book that detailed how the Spanish stripped the New World of all its riches. The story was adapted by Jean Chalopin and Bernard Deyriès, and is very loosely based on the novel; in 1532, a Spanish orphan named Esteban joins Mendoza, a navigator, in his search for one of the Seven Cities of Gold in the New World. They are joined on their quest by Zia, an Incan girl, and Tao, the last descendant of the sunken empire of Mu (Hiva in the English version). The series is a mix of ancient South American history, archaeology, and science fiction. During their journey, the travellers encounter the Mayas, Incas, and Olmecs. They discover many lost technological solar-powered wonders of the Mu Empire, while they're constantly pursued by the antagonists who are also in search of the Cities of Gold.
Jean Chalopin founded the production company DiC Entertainment in 1971, which specialized in children-oriented television and film productions. Through the company, he co-created, co-wrote, and/or produced successful television series, including Ulysses 31 (poll #541), Inspector Gadget (poll # ? :) ), The Real Ghostbusters, Sonic Underground, Dennis the Menace, Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, and Heathcliff.
The Mysterious Cities of Gold was directed by Bernard Deyriès, Edouard David, Kenichi Murakami and Kenichi Maruyama. Shingo Araki was involved with the series as an animator and some episodes were directed by Toyoo Ashida and Tatsunoko Production veteran Mizuho Nishikubo. Nobuyoshi Koshibe composed the original Japanese score, while the Western version is credited to Shuki Levy. Originally, Koshibe's score was to be used for the French version as well. However, Bernard Deyriès recalled his reaction to the proposed music he heard from Ulysses 31 in that he felt that the score was rather understated as he was expecting a more adventurous feel, something akin to films like the Indiana Jones movies. At that point Shuki Levy had met up with Bernard Deyriès, in which he became involved with the soundtracks of Ulysses 31 and The Mysterious Cities of Gold. Levy has been credited to the music of a huge amount of shows such as Inspector Gadget, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, She-Ra: Princess of Power, Digimon: Digital Monsters, Sylvanian Families, Heathcliff, The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! (poll #543), and Lucky Luke.
When The Mysterious Cities of Gold was rebroadcast in Japan on NHK BS2 from 1998 to 1999, the animation was imported back from France and the audio was redubbed. NHK had erased the original VTR when their contract expired, and the rights holder had lost the master copy. The voice actress for the main character, Esteban, was the only one to reprise her role. The second season of the series, serving as a continuation of the original 1982 series, premiered on La Trois in Belgium on November 17, 2012; 30 years after the original first season was aired.
"The Mysterious Cities of Gold" received a total of 57,7% yes votes.

I would love for you to come back to this fanfic, how you wrote Engage into Fallout was absolutely fun and I had a blast at the crossover making sense.
Me, turning to my Fallout mutuals: so the Emblems have a digital imagery around them when people use their powers at their strongest while linked physically, probably so that a sense of otherworldliness is better conveyed since the setting already has dragon deities and magic and ghosts if you go back far enough in the series so you need something really unfitting to a medieval fantasy to get that idea across. Anyway it stands to reason that the Emblems are like the magical equivalent to hyper-advanced tech
Me, turning to my Fire Emblem mutuals: in Fallout talking robots are everywhere but them having true sentience is not meant to be a commonality, even though you encounter at least a few sentient robots in every game. New Vegas tends to lean toward those robots formerly being human though so if you take the idea of the Emblems being copies of people, it’s really easy to equate them to the formerly human robotic AIs in fallout. Some models like the Mister robots seem to tend toward sentient more than the other types and there’s a whole New Vegas dlc about sentient robots
Me, turning back to my Fallout mutuals: anyway the Emblems are all really eager to help for the sake of good and righteousness and protecting people and whatnot. It’s a bit off-putting sometimes but the narrative of Engage is a super hero cartoon, basically, so it follows the narrative’s logic. You could link that with how allied/friendly robots in fallout are really eager to help the player because that’s how they’re programmed. We’re ignoring fo4’s clearly sentient robots like KLE0 or Whitechapel Charlie who don’t give a shit about you unless you’re buying their stuff
Me, turning back to my Fire Emblem mutuals: also robots tend to be harder to kill with conventional firearms and melee weapons, and the best way to fight them is using EMP-based pulse weapons. So, y’know, powerful bursts of energy being what can take them down is at least a common thread
Me, tapping a projector showing a slideshow titled “Why a Fire Emblem Engage and Fallout New Vegas Crossover Makes Perfect Sense”: so that covers the Emblems, at least. Now, on how to adapt the weapon triangle to Fallout’s weapon types,
