Gonosimulistic- it's a better scientific replacement for "hermaphrodite". Use it. It's better and more accurate, and the only bad part is that we haven't bothered to codify or list the derived forms.
For a while, I was resigned to using "hermaphrodite" because I'm a biologist, and we will always need some way to describe animals like slugs or clownfish that aren't gonochoric.
I have been enlightened. Thank you, @ders1tes for showing me a better path- my argument towards the use of "hermaphrodite" was never that it isn't a slur, it's that we needed something for animals in a scientific context, and "intersex" was firmly centred on humans or at most, gonochoric vertebrates.
Anyway:
Gonosimulistic: Adjective form. "Slugs are a textbook example of a gonosimulistic species."
Gonosimulist: Singular noun form. "This slug is a gonosimulist."
Gonosimulists: Plural noun form. "Many slugs are gonosimulists."
Sequential gonosimulist: A species that changes sexes over its lifespan.
Simultaneous gonosimulist: A species that produces both male and female gametes.

Basic info
Perisex means non-intersex. If you do not have an intersex variation you are perisex.
Hermaphrodite is a slur for intersex people.
Contrary to popular belief, it was actually used for intersex humans long before its adoption into zoology to be used for cosexual & dichogamous animal species.
It is being phased out of zoology due to its vagueness and derogatory history.
This movement is still in its infancy, so plenty of sources and communities still use this term. Intersex activists are trying to change this.
Reblog for reach, furries especially!

Many 'allies' version of accepting trans men means stuffing them into a box where they must be unseperatable from cis, instead of reshaping the 'men' category to be inherently inclusive to trans men
'trans men must be ____ because they're men' ❌
'men can be _____ because trans men exist' ✅

"wait, but what do I say to describe people who cannot get pregnant?" a guide.
Men cannot get pregnant: INCORRECT. Transgender men are men and many are capable of getting pregnant. Also, excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
Cis men cannot get pregnant: INCORRECT. Intersex men who are technically cis, but have uteruses and ovaries, may be capable of pregnancy, even if it's unlikely. Also, excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
Cis perisex men cannot get pregnant: Correct, but excludes the plenty of people who are not men who cannot get pregnant.
People without uteruses cannot get pregnant: Correct, but excludes infertile and menopausal people with uteruses who also cannot get pregnant.
People who cannot get pregnant: CORRECT. Excludes no one.
To use inclusionary language, you don't need to rip through the reeds in search of wider terminology when you could quite literally say things exactly as they are. Inclusive language isn't "overcomplicated" at all. It's straightforward.

Tbh not knowing anything about what feminizing hrt does in my opinion also betrays just a lack of knowledge on what estrogen does during puberty. Like hey if you didn’t know that feminizing hrt doesn’t affect the vocal chords what else do you not know about like, women in general
#lack of knowledge on what HRT actually is and does is one of the prime reasons cis people fearmonger about it#when the changes are roughly the same as what happens during puberty without aid anyway#why would a trans woman go on HRT if it basically did nothing but change your mood a bit????#Even cis women I think are woefully undereducated on the nature of their own puberty#I know I was and the fact I didn't even up as a cis woman means nothing I was not prepared for puberty

Gender neutral alternative to the suffix “-ess”
Hey so I came up with this years ago but never told anyone until now. Basically, y’know words that have a base form, and then end in “-ess” when they’re feminine?
God/Goddess
Waiter/Waitress
Host/Hostess
Prince/Princess
While many people have gained a more gender neutral perception of the base words, there is still a masculine connotation associated with them for a lot of people. In my ideal world language will eventually evolve to a point where we don’t have to worry about all these silly gendered suffixes, but people who prefer gender neutral language shouldn’t have to stew in dysphoria while they wait for society to catch up.
Here’s my proposed alternative suffix option:
“-en” instead of “-ess”
God/Goddess -> Goden
Waiter/Waitress -> Waitren
Host/Hostess -> Hosten
Prince/Princess -> Princen
I really like the sound of this suffix, it fits me well, personally. Do you prefer gender neutral language, and want an alternative suffix, but HATE this? Make your own! Find one that works for you! Have fun!

"I'm singin' in the rain, just singin' in the rain! What a glorious feeling, I'm happy again!"
...What's that, dear viewer? You want to know what's got him so happy? Well, either business is booming or Latter finally left town after a visit (I jest, I jest)

Literally nobody is throwing a tantrum.
Criticising the TMA/TME dichotomy (something done by trans men, enben, intersex people and trans women - seriously read 'A short history of trans misogyny' by Jules Gill-Peterson) and thus rejecting it being used for you both as intended and as the pejorative and synonym for 'trans man' it's become isn't the same as a cis man being mad there's a word for his gender identity type.
Although they may not be directly comparing us to hysterical women here, they are stating that any proposed disagreement from trans men is devoid of actual content and intelligence and thus to be regarded as a 'tantrum' which yeah...kind of sounds like how a lot of women are treated for having an opinion (something trans men are very familiar both pre and post transition since we're still viewed as women by transphobes). So this isn't outright misgendering (arguments can be made though) but it is malgendering, and someone in the comments has already fallen for the malgendering because they clearly think that so long as misgendering isn't occurring there's absolutely nothing else going on and you shouldn't read between the TRFs lines.

Trans fems try not to address trans men like hysterical women challenge impossible. It was cute that you added the man at the front of the tantrum part to act like you weren't trying to call us pathetic women.
#at don't need a word for someone who faces or doesn't face transmisogyny#I've never seen a usage where saying a specific identity wouldn't have perfectly and more succinctly sufficed#or 'trans women and non-trans women'#i will say though this is a trf issue not a trans fem one

All?? All trans men??? All trans mascs??? All cis men??? All cis women??? These are all by the supposed definition 'TME' people. None of those people, in the world, are anything but white? Get real!
The statement transparently shows that 'TME' to them means 'trans men with a specific ideology/opinions I don't like' instead of what they keep insisting it means/it was created to mean.
As for the 'are all white' part, I have to laugh. Are they mad that it's been well noted that a vast majority of TRFs (which is an ideology which attracts specific people and is not a kind of person in general like 'TME' is) and assorted transandrophobes just happen to be white because radfeminism and racism go hand in hand? So they're trying to claim the same back? If you're going to use whiteness as a general shallow negative factor at least be right.
Not me seeing a transandromisiac saying "All TMEs are white."
They're fake claiming our races now.

*deep breaths*
1) "cis woman" is a gender identity.
2) Radfems like this actually hate on gnc women who are still women who are too butch for them. When they say gnc women they mean traditional attractive still kinda fem tomboys and women in suits. They don't mean fat hairy dykes <- the best kind of gnc woman imo.
3) This is literally mask off "I don't think trans men are actually really men or trans. Like that's just not a thing. You're doing it for attention. I hate men so much I just cannot see you as one. Your personal testaments to your own happiness mean nothing to me. I will forever project my own ideas and insecurities onto you because it makes me feel better about myself." hidden behind false concern for 'gnc women'.
4) Not every trans man is trying to be a twink. Those who are are so valid, but most of us aren't even trying that. You can't assume that is what's happening either - that person might just be early in transition or no T. Assuming that's what we all want proves you have no idea what you're talking about.
5) These kinds of people also look down on femboy trans men. It's the gender identity they have a problem with, make no mistake. They're throwing in gnc support as a misdirection.
6) Aesthetics of trans manhood might not fit your ideal but they do in fact give 'gender' not that they have to because being trans isn't an aesthetic and doesn't need to appeal to anyone.

did my fucking mother get a tumblr or what?? jesus christ radfems really do all sound the fucking same this is the exact type of shit i hear every single day. get the fuck outta my house.

Really pisses me off that the Switch 2 sold so well after everyone complained it was too expensive. We've seen them cave to pressure before, all you had to do is not buy it at launch and for a few weeks after. But no, because people 'run gaming and unboxing channels' and want to lord that they have one and literally can't just go without it for a bit. Nintendo is going to continue to charge way too much money for their consoles and games because late stage capitalism has rotted your brain into consuming stuff that is ripping you off.

There's also a lot of similarities to 'The Worst Witch' too. I mean, it's fine to take influence but there's a limit ya know? But that's the least of my gripes with her tbh.
"But death of the author..."
Doesn't count here.
"J.K. Rowling has launched a new organization, the J.K. Rowling Women’s Fund (JKRWF), to bankroll legal efforts aimed at excluding trans women from public life, workplaces, and women’s spaces. Fully funded by Rowling herself, whose net worth is estimated at $1.2 billion, the initiative marks a dangerous escalation in her campaign against trans rights.
Announced on Elon Musk’s X on May 24, Rowling said the private fund will support what she calls “sex-based rights”—a thinly veiled effort to undermine legal protections for trans people.
The fund will back individuals and organizations working to roll back equality laws and push trans women out of public and institutional spaces. This follows her financial backing of the anti-trans group For Women Scotland, which recently won a ruling from the U.K. Supreme Court defining “woman” by birth sex only—a decision widely condemned by human rights organizations. Rowling has also hinted the fund may support lawsuits against prison systems that house trans women with cis women, despite trans women being far more likely to face violence and abuse behind bars.
Rowling’s track record is clear:
– She founded Beira’s Place, a rape crisis center that bans trans women from receiving help.
– She falsely accused boxer Imane Khelif of being male during the 2024 Olympics, leading to a harassment complaint.
– She has consistently used her platform to dehumanize trans people under the guise of “protecting women.”
This is a billionaire using her wealth to target and harm an already marginalized community. Rowling’s new fund will be stripping trans people, especially trans women, of hard-won freedoms, safety, and dignity.
This is targeted, deliberate, and dangerous. And it must be opposed."
We can't get rid of the money she has now, but we can prevent her from making more. You might not be buying anything, but plenty of people who are ignorant to all this do. If there remains social and financial interest in HP, she will continue to get royalties from licensing to new ventures and this is where that money goes. If HP interest is minimal to none, then we can always hope she'll burn through her money whilst getting nowhere with her hate. It might be a pipedream but it's better than pretending this isn't happening.
The absolute least you could do is understand that this vile women is using your funds, your interest, your support of HP to bolster campaigns like this. The absolute least you could do is just get into literally anything else as a way to show you're against her properly.
Because no, I'm not going to get safe around an adult HP fan whilst this shit is happening to my trans sisters especially if you're fully aware of what is going on.

Do you know what pisses me off? Perisex people trying to justify their continued use of a slur by pointing at intersex people who agree — more likely than not because they are ignorant of their history.
The only intersex people I've ever met who support the use of the word hermaphrodite in zoology, are intersex people who didn't know why hermaphrodite is used in zoology.
We're often ignorant of our history due to very purposeful systemic and systematic erasure via violence.
If you're calling on your token intersex friend to back you up on calling your fursona a herm, you're more likely than not taking advantage of their ignorance. Ignorance that is directly born out of our violent suppression. Good job.
