The meaning of the name ‘Fujiki Yusaku’

Fujiki Yusaku is the main protagonist of Yugioh VRAINS.

His name is written ‘ 藤木遊作 ’

The used Kanji are Yuu (Game, 遊 ) and Saku (Work, 作 ).

However, the used Kanji could also be read as “Play” and “Make” which is likely where his avatar name in LINK VRAINS “Playmaker” came from.

However, way more interesting is his family name  藤木 .

Fujiki is the Japanese word for some sort of tree (or vine) called ‘wisteria’ in English. It comes in many different colours, like pink, blue and purple, which are the colours used for Yusaku and Ai. The wisteria has many different cultural and symbolic meanings. Here is a list of some of them, that also fit the series and theme.

So I just binge watched the entirety of Vrains and dang that was one wild ride

Honestly there’s so much to say I don’t think I can fit all my thoughts into 1 post.

Okay after seeing the ending I am even more convinced that there will be some sort of continuation or crossover.

Anyway I’m just gonna list some of my thoughts on Vrains

• It was lit!

• It is definitely one of the best Yugioh series

• Yusaku might be my new favorite Yugioh protag!

• Everthing about Ryoken is amazing

•I love Takeru

•I wish Aoi did more

•I wish Akira dueled more

•I wish we got to see the sixth kid more

•AI IS ALIVE?

•So If Ai survived could the other Ignis possibly have survived?

•All the “become one” talk gives me Arc V flashbacks

•AIII!!!!! No no Zarc talk!

• I’m glad they continued to use previous summoning methods (except Pendulum tho I can understand why)

•Specter is like Yuri if Yuri had a character arc also he is the ultimate troll😂

•I did not expect Go’s character development to go where it did (For the longest time I thought since Takeru was the new best friend he was going to be the one with the heel turn)

•Boheman was cool

•Lightning is a jerk

•This show was so dark

•Aye! Takeru got the girl!

• Roboppi is god tier😤

• Continuing the Roboppi thing...HOW DID THE YUGIOH WRITERS MAKE ME CRY OVER A CLEANING BOT?!

They then proceeded to go on a Ferris wheel together, which as we all know from Love, Simon, is gay central :)

It’s also just the most Yugioh thing possible to have a serious war strategy meeting in a Ferris Wheel. I love this show so much.

Realised Ryoken and Emma are the only characters with visually distinct avatars that don't have their eyelashes changed. Is that anything. Is the show saying their lashes are flashy enough already? Princess-ass eyelashes man.
