Ren has a favorite book/Manga series. It's a fantasy adventure story with emperors and gods and demon warlords and more. It's also very popular and written by an unknown author, or one that uses an alias.

His favorite character is this blonde elf by the name of Martyn. He's always traveling, best friends with The Codfather, and a charming character all together. Ren loves him (maybe a bit too much), and his friends joke about him having a crush on this fictional character. However, Martyn is a side character, so his story isn't very much explored, and that leaves Ren wondering more and more about him.

Well, one day, Ren goes out, probably to get the next copy of the series, when something happens that causes him to be magically teleported into his favorite book.

And he finally gets to meet Martyn! :D

He spends the entire time trying to befriend Martyn (instead of finding a way home) and navigating a world he knows too much about. He really does try not to blurt things out, especially when things haven't happened yet...

He can't seem to figure out why Martyn's story was never told.

I know it's been a while since I wrote the last chapter, but I got hit with a really bad writer's block so it'll take a while for Oh, What a Knight to get the next chapter.

I do have Wolfsbane chapter one all done and ready, had for a while now, so maybe I'll post that later tonight. :)

Hopefully, my writer's block will be over, and I can get back to writing.

We don't talk enough about the fact that Ren disappeared for two whole seasons. We don't talk enough about the fact that Martyn wins a game during that time, while the Watchers wreak havoc in his mind.

The first time Martyn sees Ren in Wild Life, he isn't excited; he's scared. So much has happened in the two seasons he's been gone. Having him back doesn't feel real. It feels like another trick from the Watchers. Martyn is too tired for hope, but here's Ren, playing his guitar.

Online conservative guys obsessed with movie casting have spent years insisting that all that matters is that the actor looks as much like the character as possible. So you can't try to make the cast more diverse, you have to cast who looks like the character exactly. Anyway after one round of people suggesting a trans actress who looks uncannily like Zelda play Zelda in the Legend of Zelda movie they're going "well, there are more important things than looking like the character". Fellas, I'm starting to think these people just want to keep marginalized people from playing anyone
